Description

1 / 31 Video overlays, distribution management systems, and computer-implemented methods for overlaying a video with product data. FIELD OF TECHNIQUE

[0001] The application in question relates to the generation of overlays or superimposed images. In particular, it refers to video overlays, distribution management systems and computer-implemented methods of overlaying a video with product data. Similar systems are known from document no. US2018091859A1. BACKGROUND OF THE TECHNIQUE

[0002] In recent years, the consumption of video content has skyrocketed, as people are watching more and more videos on their phones, tablets, computers, and TVs.

[0003] An interesting phenomenon that has been observed in relation to this increase in video consumption is the desire of viewers to buy the objects that appear in the video.

[0004] This desire is usually triggered by the fact that when viewers see products being used or endorsed by people they admire or trust, they are more likely to want those products for themselves.

[0005] However, it can often be inconvenient to pause the video and search for the object online. This is especially true if the video is engaging and captivating, and viewers don't want to interrupt their immersion in the content.

[0006] One of the biggest challenges in searching for objects seen in videos is that viewers may not have enough information to find the exact product they are looking for. For example, if a viewer sees a shirt they like in a video, they may not know the brand or style name of the shirt, making it difficult to find the product. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 7 / 170 2 / 31 Locating the exact product online. This can be frustrating and time-consuming, as viewers may have to sift through multiple search results to find the right product.

[0007] Another problem with searching for products seen in videos is that viewers may not be able to find the product. This can be due to several factors, including the fact that the product may be out of stock, unavailable in the viewer's location, or discontinued. In some cases, the product may not even be an actual product, but rather a prop or set decoration used in the video.

[0008] Finally, even if viewers are able to find the product they are looking for, they may hesitate to buy it online, especially if they have never purchased from the retailer before. This can be a particular concern if the product is expensive or if the viewer is unfamiliar with the retailer's return policy or shipping fees.

[0009] It is an object of the present application to provide a system that makes it easier and more convenient for viewers to purchase products seen in videos. SUMMARY OF THE REQUEST

[0010] The application in question provides a video overlay, a distribution management system, and a computer-implemented method for overlaying a video with product data, as described in the accompanying claims.

[0011] The dependent claims describe specific modalities of the present application.

[0012] These and other aspects of the request will become apparent from an explanation based on the methods described below. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0021] As the illustrated modalities of the application may, for the most part, be composed of components known to the qualified person, the details will not be described in greater extent than is considered necessary for the understanding and appreciation of the underlying concepts of the application, so as not to obscure or distract from the teachings of the application.

[0022] The inventors found that using an interactive video overlay makes it easier and more convenient for viewers to buy products seen in videos.

[0023] In particular, the inventors propose to draw the viewer's attention to Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 9 / 170 4 / 31 specific products in a video and allow the viewer to interact to buy the product directly in the video.

[0024] The proposed solution saves time because it eliminates the need to search for products seen in videos.

[0025] Furthermore, the proposed solution allows for the sense of immediacy that comes with online shopping, providing a fast and efficient service to viewers.

[0026] In fact, when viewers see a product they like in a video, they can simply click on a link or button to buy it immediately.

[0027] In addition, the proposed solution provides an all-in-one interface where searching for and purchasing products viewed in videos is done from within the video, thus eliminating the need for viewers to switch between multiple applications or interfaces.

[0028] FIRST ASPECT: A VIDEO OVERLAY

[0029] As illustrated in Figure 1, a first aspect of the request is related to a video overlay 100.

[0030] As used in this document, the term video overlay refers to a device that overlays a video with content.

[0031] In the application in question, the video overlay 100 comprises at least one first processor 110.

[0032] In other words, it should be understood that the video overlay 100 can be composed of more than one first processor 110.

[0033] As illustrated in Figure 1, video overlay 100 was designed to overlay a video 200, on a viewing device 300, by means of a video player 400, with product data.

[0034] As used in this document, the term product data refers to any information relating to a product that is available to Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 10 / 170 5 / 31 purchase and that may encourage a viewer to make a purchase or lead a viewer to a purchase.

[0035] For example, a “product data” can include various information, such as the product name, product description, product price, product specification, product reviews, a URL for the product, and product availability.

[0036] However, other known types of comprehensive and accurate product data that allow a viewer to make informed decisions about whether or not to purchase a product may be contemplated, without requiring any substantial modification of the order in question.

[0037] THE VIDEO

[0038] As is generally known in video processing technology, video 200 comprises a plurality of video frames associated with time information.

[0039] In other words, 200 video is composed of a sequence of individual video frames that are typically displayed at a constant frame rate to create the illusion of movement. Furthermore, each video frame in the sequence captures a single still image, and when viewed sequentially, creates the appearance of continuous motion. Additionally, the number of frames per second (fps) in 200 video can vary depending on the specific context, with 24 fps, 25 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps being common frame rates.

[0040] In a first example of video 200, video 200 is a video stream provided over a network (e.g., the Internet), for example, via a cable provider, via a satellite TV provider, or via an over-the-top (OTT) service.

[0041] However, other known types of video providers may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the application in question. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 11 / 170 6 / 31

[0042] In a second example of video 200, video 200 is an offline video, for example, downloaded and / or stored on physical media (for example, such as an HDD, a DVD or a Blu-ray disc).

[0043] However, other known types of videos may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the application in question.

[0044] In a video 200 mode, each video frame is associated with complementary data.

[0045] In particular, the supplementary data includes time information.

[0046] In an example of supplementary data, time information is a time code.

[0047] However, other known forms of time information may be considered without requiring any substantial modification of the request in question.

[0048] — THE NOTABLE VIDEO FRAMES OF THE VIDEO

[0049] In the application in question, at least one video frame from video 200, referred to as a notable video frame, comprises at least one visually identifiable object of interest.

[0050] In other words, it should be understood that video 200 may include more than one notable video frame and that a notable video frame may include more than one visually identifiable object of interest.

[0051] As used in this document, the term visually identifiable object of interest refers to an object that can be recognized or distinguished, within a video frame, based on its appearance or visual characteristics (e.g., color, shape, size, texture, and other visual cues that may help differentiate the object from its surroundings).

[0052] Figure 2 illustrates a plurality of visually identifiable objects of interest 10, in particular clothing such as tops (i.e., a white T-shirt, Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, p. 12 / 170 7 / 31 a pale yellow blouse and a multicolored zip-up top) and hats (i.e., a yellow beret).

[0053] As is generally known in computer vision technique, one can detect and track visually identifiable objects of interest 10 using various techniques (e.g., object detection, recognition, and segmentation) that rely on algorithms that can analyze and interpret visual data to identify and locate specific objects in an image or video.

[0054] In a specific embodiment, the type of visually identifiable object of interest 10 that can be identified in the video 200 is selected from a plurality of predetermined object types (e.g., objects related to people, such as tops, bottoms, bags, shoes, hats; vehicles; electronics; household appliances; sporting equipment; musical instruments; kitchen utensils; technical and decorative items; office supplies).

[0055] In this specific mode, the first processor 110 can be configured to overlay the video 200 with an interactive menu with a plurality of user-selectable options.

[0056] In practice, each user-selectable option is configured to allow a predetermined interaction from the viewer.

[0057] In one example of this specific mode, the viewer's predetermined interaction is selected from hovering, clicking, swiping, dragging and dropping, voice, gesture, keyboard input, or any suitable combination thereof.

[0058] However, other known types of viewer interaction may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the request in question.

[0059] In a predetermined viewer interaction mode, viewer interaction is considered only after a period of interaction time (e.g., hovering for two seconds). Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 13 / 170 8 / 31

[0060] In addition, the interactive menu can be configured according to the plurality of predetermined objects, so that each option selectable by the user is associated with at least one predetermined object.

[0061] In other words, it should be understood that each option selectable by the user can be associated with more than one predetermined object.

[0062] In this specific mode, the viewer can select desired or undesired user-selectable options associated with the predetermined objects that must be identified.

[0063] In the application in question, the location of the visually identifiable object of interest 10, in the video frame, is previously known or determined.

[0064] In a first embodiment, when the location of the visually identifiable object of interest 10, in the video frame, is known beforehand, each notable video frame is associated with complementary data.

[0065] In particular, the supplementary data includes the location of the visually identifiable objects of interest 10 that are present in the notable video frame.

[0066] In a second embodiment, when the location of the visually identifiable object of interest 10 in the video frame is determined, the first processor 110 is configured to automatically detect, in at least one video frame of the video 200, at least one visually identifiable object of interest 10 using image recognition software configured to identify an image area.

[0067] In other words, it must be understood that the first processor 110 can automatically detect more than one visually identifiable object of interest 10 in all or part of the video frames of the video 200.

[0068] — THE VIEWING DEVICE

[0069] In the application in question, the 300 viewing device has at least one Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 14 / 170 9 / 31 showing.

[0070] In other words, it should be understood that the 300 display device may have more than one display.

[0071] As used in this document, the term viewing device refers to a device (also known as a client device or end-user device) that is used to access and view a video.

[0072] For example, the viewing device could be a computer, a smartphone, a tablet computer, or a smart TV.

[0073] However, other known types of display device may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the application in question.

[0074] — THE VIDEO PLAYER

[0075] In the application in question, video player 400 is configured to display video 200 on the display of viewing device 300.

[0076] In practice, the 400 video player has a play function and a pause function.

[0077] The playback function is set to play a video.

[0078] The pause function that is being configured to pause the playback of a video.

[0079] Obviously, the 400 video player may have other functions, such as rewind function, fast forward function, playback speed control function and playback quality settings function.

[0080] In a first example of the 400 video player, the video player 400 is a request (for example, a web request, a streaming request).

[0081] In a second example of the 400 video player, the 400 video player is an integrated feature of the 300 viewer device.

[0082] However, other known types of video player implementation may be considered without requiring any substantial modification of the application in Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 15 / 170 Question 10 / 31.

[0083] — THE PRODUCT DATABASE

[0084] As illustrated in Figure 1, the first processor 110 is configured to access a product database 500.

[0085] The product 500 database is configured to allow retrieval of product data associated with a product image.

[0086] In practice, the 500 product database associates at least one product image with the product data.

[0087] In other words, it should be understood that the product database 500 can associate more than one product image with product data.

[0088] In a first example of the 500 product database, the product data is provided by one or more retailers.

[0089] In a second example of the 500 product database, the product data is provided by one or more product manufacturers.

[0090] However, other known types of product data providers may be considered without requiring any substantial modification of the application in question.

[0091] In a first embodiment, the product database 500 is located locally in relation to the display device 300.

[0092] In a second embodiment, the product database 500 is located remotely in relation to the viewing device 300.

[0093] In a first example of the second modality, the product database 500 is located in the video overlay 100.

[0094] In a second example of the second modality, the product 500 database is located on a remote server.

[0095] However, other locations in the 500 product database may be considered without requiring any substantial modification of the application in question. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 16 / 170 11 / 31

[0096] In a third example of the second modality, the 500 product database is continuously updated to reflect the most recent product data.

[0097] In other words, in the third example of the second modality, product data is added to the 500 database as soon as it is provided by suppliers (e.g., retailers and product manufacturers) and existing product data is updated to reflect any changes or corrections made to it.

[0098] Thus, by continuously updating the 500 product database, the proposed solution ensures that viewers have access to the most current and accurate product data available, allowing them to make informed decisions about whether or not to purchase a product.

[0099] — HUMAN-PERCEPTIBLE VIDEO OVERLAY

[00100] In the application in question, the first processor 110 is configured to provide a human-perceptible video overlay.

[00101] As used in this document, the term human-perceptible video overlay refers to a visual element that is added over a video or video frame and that can be seen by a human viewer.

[00102] In practice, the human-perceptible video overlay is configured to be time-synchronized with video 200 based on timing information, so that all or part of its content is configured to overlay video 200 at a given point in time in video 200.

[00103] In particular, human-perceptible video overlay includes, for at least one noticeable video frame, at least one first overlay container and at least one second overlay container.

[00104] In other words, it should be understood that human-perceptible video overlay may encompass more than one noticeable video frame, Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 17 / 170 12 / 31 plus one first overlapping container and more than one second overlapping container.

[00105] — THE FIRST OVERLAP CONTAINER

[00106] In particular, the first overlay container associated with a notable video frame is configured to overlay the notable video frame onto a first interactive content.

[00107] In practice, the first interactive content is configured to allow a predetermined interaction from the viewer.

[00108] In the request, the location of the points that define a border of the first interactive content is known or determined beforehand.

[00109] In a first mode, when the location of the points that define an edge of the first interactive content is known beforehand, each notable video frame is associated with complementary data.

[00110] In particular, the supplementary data includes the location of the points that define a boundary of the first interactive content that are present in the notable video frame.

[00111] In a second embodiment, when the location of the points that define a border of the first interactive content is determined, the first processor 110 is configured to automatically detect, within at least one video frame of the video 200, the border of at least one first interactive content using image segmentation software configured to segment an image area and assign it to a product.

[00112] In other words, it should be understood that the first processor 110 can automatically detect more than one edge of a visually identifiable object of interest 10 within all or part of the video frames of the video 200.

[00113] In a first embodiment of the first interactive content, the first interactive content comprises at least one interactive symbol configured for Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 18 / 170 13 / 31 overlap all or part of the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00114] In other words, it should be understood that the first interactive content can be composed of more than one interactive symbol.

[00115] In a first example of the first modality of the first interactive content, the format of the first interactive content is selected from a rectangular format, an octagonal format, a circular format, or any suitable combination thereof.

[00116] However, other known formats may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the application in question.

[00117] Figure 3 illustrates the first example of the first modality of the first interactive content 20, in which the first interactive content 20 has a circular shape and a white color.

[00118] In a second example of the first embodiment of the first interactive content 20, the first interactive content 20 is positioned centrally in relation to the edge of the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00119] However, other positions of the first interactive content 20 in relation to the edge of the visually identifiable object of interest 10 may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the application.

[00120] In a second embodiment of the first interactive content 20, as shown in Figure 4, the first interactive content 20 comprises a first interactive bounding box around the visually identifiable object of interest 10 and configured to overlap the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00121] In a third embodiment of the first interactive content 20, the first interactive content 20 comprises a second interactive bounding box configured to include a list of visually identifiable objects of interest 10 that are present in the notable video frame.

[00122] — THE SECOND OVERLAP CONTAINER Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 19 / 170 14 / 31

[00123] In the request in question, the second overlay container is associated with the first overlay container.

[00124] In addition, the second overlay container is configured to overlay the notable video frame with a second interactive content.

[00125] In practice, the second interactive content has at least one option selectable by the user.

[00126] In other words, it should be understood that the second interactive content may include more than one option selectable by the user.

[00127] In a first example of second interactive content, the second interactive content comprises a user-selectable option, including at least one option to view, follow, add to wishlist, product image, apply coupon code, and add to shopping cart.

[00128] However, other options may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the request in question.

[00129] Figure 4 illustrates the first example of the second interactive content, with a user-selectable option 30 to view, a user-selectable option 40 to add to shopping cart, and a user-selectable option 50 to view product image.

[00130] In a second example of second interactive content, the second interactive content could be a web page or an interactive menu.

[00131] However, other implementations of user-selectable options may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the request in question.

[00132] Figure 5 illustrates the second example of the second interactive content, in which an interactive menu is shown (on the left side) after the user interacts with the user-selectable product image option 50.

[00133] In practice, each user-selectable option is configured to allow Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 20 / 170 15 / 31 a predetermined interaction of the viewer.

[00134] In particular, the second interactive content is configured according to the product data of at least one product associated with the visually identifiable object of interest 10, so that each option selectable by the user is associated with the product data of at least one product associated with the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00135] In other words, it should be understood that the second interactive content can be configured according to the product data of more than one product associated with the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00136] In a first example of the second interactive content, the format of the second interactive content is selected from a rectangular format, an octagonal format, a circular format, or any suitable combination thereof.

[00137] However, other known formats may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the application in question.

[00138] In a second example of the second interactive content, the second interactive content is positioned adjacent to the first interactive content 20.

[00139] However, other positions of the second interactive content in relation to the first interactive content 20 may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the request.

[00140] — VIDEO OVERLAY IN OPERATION

[00141] Now that we have presented the general architecture of the 100 video overlay, we can describe how it works.

[00142] In operation, the first processor 110 is configured to perform the playback function of the video player 400.

[00143] Still, in operation, when the current video frame is a notable video frame, the first processor 110 is configured to display the first corresponding overlay container. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 21 / 170 16 / 31

[00144] In addition, in operation, in response to a predetermined interaction of the viewer with the first interactive content 20 or the pause function, the first processor 110 is configured to pause video playback 200.

[00145] In addition, in operation, when video playback 200 is paused, the first processor 110 is configured as follows.

[00146] First, the first processor 110 is configured to obtain, based on the current notable video frame and the first associated overlay container, an image slice that includes the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00147] Next, the first processor 110 is configured to recognize or identify, from the product database 500, based on the image crop, at least one product image that substantially corresponds to the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00148] In other words, it should be understood that the first processor 110 can be configured to recognize or identify more than one product image that substantially corresponds to the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00149] In addition, the first processor 110 is configured to retrieve, from the product database 500, the product data associated with the recognized product.

[00150] Finally, the first processor 110 is configured to display the second overlay container according to the retrieved product data.

[00151] FIRST MODALITY OF THE FIRST ASPECT: IMAGE SELECTION

[00152] A first modality of the first aspect of the request in question occurs before the first processor 110 displays the first overlay container.

[00153] In this case, the first processor 110 is configured to select, based on the image information associated with each notable video frame, a single notable video frame from among a plurality of notable video frames. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 22 / 170 17 / 31 consecutive.

[00154] In a variant of the first embodiment of the first aspect of the request in question, the first processor 110 uses known keyframe extraction techniques (e.g., content-based keyframe selection, such as object detection) to select the single notable video frame as a keyframe from the plurality of consecutive notable video frames, the keyframe being a representative video frame from the plurality of consecutive notable video frames.

[00155] By using a single keyframe instead of processing each consecutive notable video frame in a sequence, processing time and computational resources can be significantly reduced while retaining the key visual information of the video 200.

[00156] In a variant of the first modality of the first aspect of the request, each notable video frame is associated with complementary data.

[00157] In particular, the supplementary data includes the image information.

[00158] SECOND MODALITY OF THE THIRD ASPECT: IMAGE SEGMENTATION

[00159] A second embodiment of the first aspect of the application in question occurs before the first processor 110 recognizes or identifies the product image that substantially corresponds to the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00160] In this case, the first processor 110 is configured to delineate, in the image cut, the visually identifiable object of interest 10 from a background region.

[00161] Finally, the first processor 110 is configured to subtract the background region from the image cut, so as to leave only a polygon delimiting the region of interest of the visually identifiable object of interest 10. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 23 / 170 18 / 31

[00162] The second aspect of the first request in question is particularly useful for matching cropped images and product images from the 500 product database, because these images may not have been taken in the same context.

[00163] In fact, the images may have been captured from different angles or under different lighting conditions.

[00164] In this case, variations in the background of the images can introduce significant noise and distortions that can affect the accuracy of the match.

[00165] By removing the background around the object of interest before matching, the effect of these variations can be significantly reduced, allowing for a more accurate and reliable match.

[00166] In a first variant of the second embodiment of the first aspect of the request in question, the background of the product images in the product database 500 is removed beforehand before being stored.

[00167] In a second variant of the second embodiment of the first aspect of the application in question, the first processor 110 is configured to remove the background from product images of a format similar to the cropped image.

[00168] THIRD MODALITY OF THE FIRST ASPECT: IMAGE MATCH

[00169] A third modality of the first aspect of the request in question is a specific implementation of how to combine the product image with the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00170] In this case, the first processor 110 is configured to generate a first embedding vector for the image slice using an embedding generation technique.

[00171] Next, the first processor 110 is configured to generate at least one second embed vector for at least one product image. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 24 / 170 19 / 31 using the embedding generation technique.

[00172] In other words, it should be understood that the first processor 110 can generate more than one second embedding vector for more than one product image.

[00173] Furthermore, the first processor 110 is configured to compare the first embedding vector with all or part of the second embedding vectors, thus generating a similarity measure for each comparison.

[00174] Finally, the first processor 110 is configured to select product images associated with a similarity measure that is beyond a predetermined similarity measure.

[00175] Using embeds, matching can be significantly simplified and accelerated.

[00176] In fact, instead of processing each pixel or feature of the cropped image and product images, the matching can be performed on much smaller and more informative embedding vectors, which can be pre-calculated or calculated in real time.

[00177] This approach can improve the accuracy and robustness of image matching algorithms, especially when dealing with large datasets, complex scenes, or dynamic environments.

[00178] FOURTH MODALITY OF THE FIRST ASPECT: VIDEO RESUMPTION

[00179] A fourth modality of the first aspect of the request in question occurs when the first processor 110 resumes playback of the video 200.

[00180] In this case, in response to a predetermined interaction of the viewer with the video player 400 and / or human-perceptible video overlay, the first processor 110 is configured to resume video playback 200, at a point where video playback 200 was paused, the predetermined viewer interaction is indicative that the viewer interaction is complete. Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 25 / 170 20 / 31

[00181] In other words, the first processor 110 resumes video playback 200 in response to only one predetermined viewer interaction with the video player 400, only one predetermined viewer interaction with the human-perceived video overlay, or one predetermined viewer interaction with the video player 400 and one predetermined viewer interaction with the human-perceived video overlay.

[00182] In a first variant of the fourth modality of the first aspect of the request, the conclusion of the viewer's interaction is indicative of a purchase of a product associated with the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00183] Figure 6 illustrates the first variant of the fourth modality of the first aspect of the subject, with human perceptible video overlay displaying a confirmation 60 of a purchase of a product associated with the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00184] In a second variant of the fourth modality of the first aspect of the subject, the conclusion of the viewer's interaction is indicative of a purchase of a desire to buy a product associated with the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00185] In this case, as illustrated in Figure 1, the video overlay 100 comprises at least one memory 120.

[00186] In other words, it should be understood that the 100 video overlay can contain more than one 120 memory.

[00187] In the second variant of the fourth modality of the first aspect of the subject, the first processor 110 is configured in the following format.

[00188] First, the first processor 110 is configured to save, as an entry in a wish list, information that represents the desire to purchase the product associated with the visually identifiable object of interest 10.

[00189] Next, the first processor 110 is configured to store, in Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 26 / 170 21 / 31 memory 120, the wish list.

[00190] By saving products to a wish list, the viewer can keep track of products they are interested in without having to make an immediate purchase decision. This can help reduce decision-making anxiety, increase satisfaction and loyalty, and ultimately lead to more sales and revenue for the retailer.

[00191] In the form of the second variant of the fourth modality of the first aspect of the subject, the first processor 110 is configured to modify the human-perceptible video overlay to include at least a third overlay container.

[00192] In other words, it should be understood that, after modification, the human-perceptible video overlay may include more than one-third of the overlay container.

[00193] In the form of the second variant of the fourth modality of the first aspect of the subject, the third container is configured to overlay the notable video frame with a third interactive content with at least one user-selectable option.

[00194] In other words, it should be understood that the third interactive content may have more than one user-selectable option.

[00195] In a first example of third interactive content, the third interactive content includes a user-selectable option, including at least one of the following options: view wishlist, remove from wishlist, add to shopping cart, update shopping cart, checkout, and apply coupon code.

[00196] However, other options may be considered, without requiring any substantial modification of the request in question.

[00197] In a second example of third interactive content, the third interactive content could be a web page or an interactive menu.

[00198] However, other implementations of user-selectable options Petition 870250095069, dated 10 / 17 / 2025, page 27 / 170 22 / 31 can be considered without requiring any substantial modification of the request in question.

[00199] In practice, each user-selectable option is configured to allow a predetermined interaction from the viewer.

[00200] In particular, the third interactive content is configured according to all or part of a wish list, so that each option selectable by the user is associated with at least one entry in the wish list.

[00201] In other words, it should be understood that each option selectable by the user may be associated with more than one entry in the wish list.

[00202] Furthermore, when video playback 200 is paused, in response to a predetermined viewer interaction with the video player 400 and / or human-perceptible video overlay, the first processor 110 is configured to display the third overlay container according to all or part of the wish list.

[00203] In other words, the first processor 110 displays the third overlay container in response to only one predetermined interaction of the viewer with the video player 400, only one predetermined interaction of the viewer with the human-perceptible video overlay, or one predetermined interaction of the viewer with the video player 400 and one predetermined interaction of the viewer with the human-perceptible video overlay.
