Abstract
Description
1 / 3 “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN A DRYING TUNNEL FOR ADHESIVE APPLIED TO THE SOLE AND UPPER OF FOOTWEAR”. Field of Application This utility model refers to a new constructive arrangement applied to a drying tunnel for adhesive applied to the soles and uppers of footwear, capable of providing drying with lower energy consumption and better efficiency, allowing for greater agility in the production process. State of the Art The drying of the adhesive applied to the sole and upper is considered a fundamental and indispensable step during footwear manufacturing, as it provides high quality and a superior final finish to the product. Currently, the footwear industry uses machines to dry the adhesive applied to the sole and upper, where these parts of the shoe are placed on a conveyor belt that transports these components into the drying tunnel. Above this drying tunnel, there are centrally located fans that propel air against electrical resistances. This heated air is directed against a series of holes arranged throughout the upper length of the drying tunnel (from entrance to exit), causing significant heat loss, which results in higher energy consumption, since a significant portion of the air heated by the resistors does not come into contact with the sole and upper of the shoe, being lost inside the tunnel and also escaping through the entrance and exit of the drying tunnel. This causes the internal temperature of the tunnel to be inconsistent and not ideal for the perfect stage of the adhesive drying process, resulting in manufacturing defects such as the separation of parts from the shoe. Description of the utility model The objective of this utility model is to effectively resolve the limitations encountered in the drying tunnels for adhesives applied to the soles and uppers of footwear previously described. Petition 870200093457, dated 07 / 27 / 2020, page 4 / 14 2 / 3 This is achieved through a new constructive arrangement applied to the adhesive drying tunnel for the soles and uppers of footwear. Above the drying tunnel, fans propel air through ducts, confining this air under pressure in an upper chamber. This confined, pressurized air is forced to exit through passages with a smaller diameter than the airflow generated by the fans. This forces the air to pass through heating elements where it is heated, and then it is forcibly expelled through strategically positioned air outlets on the conveyor belt that transports the soles and uppers of the footwear, providing a 5 to 6 degree difference in energy consumption. Advantages of the utility model The new construction design applied to the drying tunnels for adhesive used on shoe soles and uppers is exclusive and unique compared to other drying tunnels in machines available on the market, and its construction characteristics offer the following advantages: • Greater agility in this stage of the production process, resulting in increased productivity; • Lower energy consumption; • Reduced temperature exchange with the external part of the equipment; • Better performance, since it reaches the perfect temperature for adhesive drying in less time. Description of the Figures In order to aid in understanding the present utility model, it will be described in detail, based on the following figures: Figure 1 - Isometric perspective of the proposed arrangement; Figure 2 - cross-sectional view of the proposed layout indicating the direction of ventilation; Figure 3 - top view of the proposed layout. Detailed Description of the Utility Model According to figures 1 to 3, the new constructive arrangement applied in the drying tunnels for adhesive applied to the sole and upper of footwear, Petition 870200093457, dated 07 / 27 / 2020, page 5 / 14 3 / 3 comprises fans (1) above the drying tunnel that propel air over ducts (2), confining this air under pressure in an upper chamber (3). This confined and pressurized air inside the upper chamber (3) is forced to exit through passages (4) of smaller diameter than the airflow generated by the fans (1), requiring and obliging it to pass through the resistors (5) where this air will be heated, and, immediately afterwards, will be forced out through the air outlets (6) strategically positioned above the conveyor belt (7) that transports the sole and upper of the shoe (8), providing an advantage of 5 to 6 degrees in the internal part of the drying tunnel, and consequently lower energy consumption. Petition 870200093457, dated 07 / 27 / 2020, p. 6 / 14
Claims
1 / 1 CLAIM 1- “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN A DRYING TUNNEL FOR ADHESIVE APPLIED TO THE SOLE AND UPPER OF SHOES”, comprises fans (1) above the drying tunnel, characterized by the fact that these fans (1) propel air over ducts (2), confining this air under pressure in an upper chamber (3); this air confined and under pressure inside the upper chamber (3) is forced to exit through passages (4) of smaller diameter than the airflow generated by the fans (1), requiring and obliging it to pass through the resistors (5) where this air will be heated, and, immediately afterwards, will be forced out through the air outlets (6) strategically positioned above the conveyor belt (7) that transports the sole and upper of the shoe (8).
