Paint strainer for paint guns. This utility model patent refers to an evolution of an innovative paint strainer to be used in paint guns, whose application by the same author was filed under number BR 20 2016 018764 3. This strainer allows the paint to be strained directly when filling the gun cup, making it possible to operate with a wide variety of paints, whether for automotive, building or industrial areas. The present invention basically consists of a double cone body (1) composed of a wider upper conical part (2) superimposed on a lower conical part (3) provided at its base with a passage hole (4) fitted with mesh fabric (5) according to the grammage to be used; the said upper conical part (2) being provided at the top with an enveloping flap (6). Roundings (7) were produced on all edges. the mesh fabric(5) overlaps the hole(4), filling the entire inner lower diameter.the body(1) is made of transparent plastic material

[001] This Utility Model Patent refers to an evolution of an innovative paint strainer to be used in paint guns, whose application by the same author was filed under number BR 20 2016 018764 3. This strainer allows the paint to be strained directly when filling the gun cup, making it possible to operate with a wide variety of paints, whether for automotive, building or industrial areas.

[002] The state of the art relating to the present subject consists of simple paper strainers found on the market that do not fit into the spray gun cup, resulting in ink spillage, since said paper strainer is not rigid and does not have a good grip. In addition, the aforementioned application must also be considered.

[003] In order to surpass and differentiate itself from the state of the art, the present “PAINT STRAINER FOR PAINT GUNS” was developed, which is the subject of this patent application, and, in order to facilitate the reading of the text, will henceforth be referred to in abbreviated form simply as “STRAINER”.

[004] The drawing will be described next, and will be detailed later.

[005] Fig. 1 shows schematically the present “STRAINER” in vertical section.

[006] According to the figures, the present “STRAINER” is basically constituted of a double cone body (1) composed of a wider upper conical part (2) superimposed on a lower conical part (3) provided at its base with a passage hole (4) fitted with mesh fabric (5) according to the grammage to be used; the said upper conical part (2) being provided at the top with an enveloping flap (6). [007] After a period of development of the present “STRAINER” based on the previous request, several improvements were made that should be taken into account, which will be explained below.

[008] All printing spacing was discontinued in favor of cost cutting. Similarly, the production process changed from plastic injection to vacuum forming, which drastically reduced the production cost, the thickness and weight of the object, and even the value of the material, since recycled and recyclable material is used and more units can be packed in the same box with less weight. The fabric(5) was fixed along the entire inner lower diameter to improve its fixation. All edges were rounded to prevent ink from sticking, which facilitates cleaning and helps with ink drainage. The old air vent teeth were discontinued as they proved inefficient. The wrap-around flap(6) was added so that the operator can use it as a handle in any position, avoiding further dirt on the hands.A transparent plastic material (PE, PP, or any other plastic variation that suits the project) was adopted so that the paint level in the cup can be more easily visualized, preventing accidental spillage. The design of this "STRAINER" allows for greater safety in use, as it fits perfectly into the spray gun cup.
