Description

1 / 4 INSECT BLANKET

[001] The present utility model is a blanket, with the objective of protecting against insect bites and attacks, mainly mosquitoes and the mosquito popularly known as the "powder fly". The insect-proof blanket is being placed in a pioneering way in the segment of products that aim to protect against insect bites and attacks.

[002] humans and animals, throughout all ages, have provided ways to protect themselves against insect bites, due to the pain and danger to their survival. In the case of animals, this is done by rolling in mud, wagging their tails like horses, etc., and in the case of humans, they use clothing, blankets, curtains, extra-fine screens on doors and windows of houses, that is, various mechanical means, not to mention the various chemical and pharmaceutical means applied to the skin to protect themselves from insect bites and attacks.

[003] due to the discomfort, pain, and health hazards that insect attacks cause to humans and animals, it is necessary to have ways to protect against insect bites, especially mosquitoes and black flies, which, moreover, due to global warming in recent years, have become a plague in several countries, and even worse, these insects, especially mosquitoes and black flies, have transmitted terrible diseases to humans and animals.

[004] Traditional blankets protect against the bites of most insects due to their structure and the characteristics of the weave in which they are manufactured and sewn. However, they have the disadvantage of making the human or animal that uses them very hot on warm days. If the person or animal is covered with a sheet, which is made of a single piece of fabric that is usually a thin fabric, the human or animal will not get very warm, especially on hot days. But there is an important drawback: when a human or animal falls asleep, the parts of the sheet that are in contact with the human or animal's skin are where some types of insects have the ability to penetrate the weave of this fabric and reach the skin to suck blood, such as mosquitoes, through their proboscis, which is an elongated appendage located on the head of some animals, and can be found in vertebrates or invertebrates.

[005] The insect-proof blanket is made with two or more layers of thick tulle fabric or similar fabric and the last layer(s) with micro tulle or fabric. Petition 870250082330, dated 12 / 09 / 2025, page 3 / 10 2 / 4 similar, and the layers of these fabrics are sewn one on top of the other. And because thick tulle or other similar fabrics, due to their stiffening characteristics, create a separation between each layer placed one on top of the other. This stiffening characteristic of the fabric creates a distance between the first and last layers of the insect-proof blanket, and insects cannot reach the skin of humans or animals to suck blood from the wearer, because the layers of thick tulle and micro-tulle, or fabrics with similar characteristics to the insect-proof blanket, create a barrier between human or animal skin and insects, mainly mosquitoes and black flies, and provide little thermal insulation, as they are fabrics full of holes in their composition.

[006] Something very important about thick tulle fabric and micro tulle or fabrics with similar characteristics is that their weave has many small holes, so the insect-proof blanket, the subject of the following patent, will provide little warmth to the person or animal when using the insect-proof blanket to protect themselves from insect bites, something very important on days of intense heat, especially mosquitoes, which, due to global warming, multiply and, worse, transmit diseases.

[007] A very important characteristic of the insect-proof blanket is that, because it is manufactured with layers of thick tulle fabric, or similar fabrics, and micro-tulle, or similar fabrics, even a small movement by the person or animal while using it to protect themselves from insect bites causes the layers of thick tulle fabric, or fabrics with similar characteristics, and micro-tulle, or fabrics with similar characteristics, to move in various directions. One layer moves independently of the other, and this varied movement of the layers of thick tulle fabric and micro-tulle fabric, or similar fabrics, can injure or bother some types of insects that may be perched on the insect-proof blanket, especially mosquitoes, as their thin, long legs can get caught between the layers of thick tulle fabric and micro-tulle fabric, or fabrics with similar characteristics.Due to the micro-holes these fabrics possess, any small movements of the insect-repellent blanket, whether made from layers of thick tulle or micro-tulle, or similar fabrics, could disturb the insect. Petition 870250082330, dated 12 / 09 / 2025, page 4 / 10 3 / 4

[008] The insect-proof blanket is made with layers of thick tulle fabric or similar fabrics, and the last or subsequent layers are made of micro-tulle fabric or fabrics with similar characteristics, mainly to prevent the mosquito, popularly known as sandfly or biting midge, which is very small, from penetrating the inside of the insect-proof blanket.

[009] due to the characteristics of the insect-proof blanket described in this report, the more layers of thick tulle fabric and micro tulle fabric or fabrics with similar characteristics in its manufacture it has, the greater the protection against insect bites, especially mosquitoes and midges.

[010] In order for the utility model, disclosed in this descriptive report, to be fully understood and put into practice, the following drawings, which substantially illustrate the proposed construction, are attached:

[011] figure 1 drawing of the insect repellent blanket in side view.

[012] Figure 2 shows an image of thick tulle fabric.

[013] fugira 3 shows the image of micro tulle fabric.

[014] As can be inferred from the attached drawings, the arrangement of the insect-proof blanket (fig.1) comprises a blanket with layers of thick tulle fabric (fig. 2) or fabrics with similar characteristics and micro tulle fabric (fig. 3) or similar fabrics, which are placed one on top of the other and sewn together (3).

[015] a (fig.1) shows the side view of the insect-proof blanket with 5 layers of thick tulle fabric (2) or fabrics with similar characteristics and the last layer, of micro tulle fabric (3) or fabrics with similar characteristics, a very important feature is that these types of fabrics, thick tulle fabric (2) or similar fabrics and micro tulle fabrics (3) have thousands of holes (4) in their composition.

[016] the layers of thick tulle fabric (2 and 3) or similar fabrics, of the insect-proof blanket (fig. 1) due to its structure, causes a separation between the first layer (2) and its last layer (3). Petition 870250082330, dated 12 / 09 / 2025, p. 5 / 10 4 / 4

[017] the thousands of holes (4) that the thick tulle fabric (2 and 3) or similar fabrics and the micro tulle fabric [2 and 3] or similar fabrics allow, there is little heating on very hot days, for humans or animals to protect themselves from insect bites, mainly mosquitoes or ground flies, which have multiplied, due to global warming and worse the attacks and bites of these insects have transmitted diseases.

[018] This descriptive report deals with a utility model with industrial application and refers to a new constructive form, which provides functional improvement and, therefore, deserves the protection sought. Petition 870250082330, dated 12 / 09 / 2025, p. 6 / 10

Claims

1 / 1 CLAIM 1 - INSECT-PROOF BLANKET (fig. 1) is manufactured with two or more layers of thick tulle fabric (2) or fabrics with similar characteristics and the last layer or last layer of micro tulle fabric (3) or fabrics with similar characteristics, which has micro holes (4), which makes it difficult or even prevents small insects from attacking and biting humans or animals using the insect-proof blanket. CHARACTERIZED BY: due to the thick tulle fabric (fig. 2) or fabrics with similar characteristics being structured, this creates a distance between the first layer (2) and its last layer (3), and this distance prevents or makes it difficult for some types of insects, mainly mosquitoes or gnats known as midges, to reach the skin of humans or animals covering themselves with the insect-proof blanket (fig. 1) to protect themselves from insect bites. Another characteristic of the insect-proof blanket (fig. 1) is that...1) It is small movements in opposite directions of its layers (2 and 3) when a human or animal moves their body while using the insect-proof blanket (fig. 1). Because the thick tulle fabric (fig. 2) or fabrics with similar characteristics and the micro tulle fabric (fig. 3) or fabrics with similar characteristics have many holes (4) in their composition, the insect-proof blanket (fig. 1) provides little warmth to the person or animal covering it, which is very important on very hot days. And the greater the number of layers of thick tulle fabric (2) or similar fabrics and micro tulle fabric (3) or similar fabrics in which the insect-proof blanket (fig. 1) is made, the greater the protection against insect bites, especially mosquitoes and gnats popularly known as "pólvora" (powder). The insect-proof blanket (fig.1) It is made with two or more layers of thick tulle fabric (2) or similar fabrics and the last layer or layers of micro tulle fabric (3) this prevents or makes it difficult even for small insects, such as black flies, to attack humans or animals that are using it for protection.
