Description

1 / 3 Skidder equipment with fertilizer spreader.

[001] This patent refers to a device coupled to fertilizer and manure distribution equipment, applied to the forestry segment, more specifically during the fertilization stage of eucalyptus forests. Description of the State of the Art

[002] Currently, there are devices on the market and in some work environments that are designed for fertilization. These devices are equipped with a fertilizer distributor, which performs its activity by being pulled by a tractor.

[003] As the equipment currently used consists of devices structured with the distributor on a set of wheels and tires for its activity and towed by a tractor, they exhibit low operational performance.

[004] During fertilization activity, this wheeled distributor has limited performance because, with this model, it cannot move at higher speeds during its activity and cannot operate at night, as it presents a greater risk of hitting stumps and falling into holes during operation. In addition, the wheel system that the distributors have cannot support the weight when the fertilizer tank is completely full. Description of the Innovation

[005] In view of the need to adapt and improve the processes of cultivating renewable forests, in the fertilization stage, the present patent refers to the development of equipment comprising a forestry skidder and a fertilizer and manure distributor, for fertilizing large areas of eucalyptus forests, subdivided into rows, making this process more profitable and efficient. Petition 870250057469, dated 07 / 07 / 2025, page 4 / 7 2 / 3

[006] The equipment consisting of the skidder with the fertilizer distributor provides greater speed in areas identified as plots, the planting location for plant seedlings, as well as faster maneuvers, less need for stops to change tires due to the robustness of the skidder's tires, and improved operator ergonomics due to the comfort of the skidder, ensuring greater flexibility and efficiency of the equipment, which provides great utilization of areas with a high degree of topographic irregularity, leading to maximum uniform application of fertilizer and consequently optimizing productivity per hectare.

[007] It consists of using a fertilizer spreader on the chassis at the back of the skidder (1), where this spreader is formed by a fertilizer container in the configuration of a bucket (2), whose inclination forms a funnel system, to which it directs the fertilizer to the transport part.

[008] At the top of the distributor there is a bag ripper type component (3), this being a structure used to assist in supplying fertilizer when a truck-mounted crane is used, this truck removes the bags from its body and takes them towards the tip of the bag ripper in the distributor's hopper, when supported this structure causes a rupture in the bottom of the fertilizer bags allowing the fertilizer to be supplied to the distributor's hopper.

[009] Below the hopper we have the fertilizer transport section, consisting of a conveyor belt (4), which transports the fertilizer to the distribution section. In the distribution section we have two rotating discs (5), which receive the fertilizer and carry it to the lateral flow deflectors (6), these deflectors having angular movement, altering the inclination of the implement's lateral outlet.

[0010] The fertilization operation is carried out by filling the reservoir with the chosen fertilizer. The machine is then taken to the area to be fertilized. This is done via a hydraulic drive in the Skidder cab. Petition 870250057469, dated 07 / 07 / 2025, page 5 / 7 3 / 3 of the machine starts moving the conveyor belt at the bottom of the fertilizer container. When the machine begins to enter a planting row, the dispersing discs are also activated, starting to rotate and throwing the fertilizer towards the lateral flow deflectors. This directs the fertilizer around the plant's stem, under the branches, towards the soil. At the end of the row, the operator activates the control again, interrupting the rotation of the discs and the distribution of fertilizer, so that they can maneuver and return to the next row to be fertilized. Then, the hydraulic control is activated again, and the discs resume distributing the fertilizer along the path. Description of the figures
