Description

3 of 3 "ARRANGEMENT APPLIED TO CONCEALED HYDRAULIC DRAIN" Field of invention

[001] The present object is inserted in the civil construction sector, notably residential, and refers, in general, to an arrangement applied to a drain that improves the water drainage system to the sewage or rainwater network, being composed of a chassis that has a series of vertical columns or pins intended to retain debris, a floor cover that fits into the chassis and a strainer or screen, being preferably applicable in flat bathroom floors where it is intended to place the drain in a discreet and harmonious manner. Fundamentals of the invention

[002] The state of the art describes several drain models that, for the most part, leave the screen (or sieve) exposed, which, in many cases, may not be the best aesthetic option. On the other hand, it is also possible to find in the state of the art hidden, or invisible, drains that have a top cover where it is possible to lay a floor identical to that used in the surrounding area (as can be seen, for example, in patents no. BR 202013018180-9 and BR 202021024389-4 U2), which creates a concealment of the drain in the floor, leaving visible only a groove around the drain through which the water will flow.

[003] The equipment that is the subject of this patent is a concealed drain, similar to those described above, but with improvements inserted that aim to improve the containment of waste, preventing it from flowing and causing blockages. There is also an improvement in the way the strainer (or screen) is removed and fitted with the insertion of a handle that allows the insertion of a wrench, facilitating the removal of the screen for cleaning and maintenance. Brief description of the drawings Figure 1 shows an image of the entire disassembled object, with the top cover (1) where the floor is placed, the sieve or screen (2), the handle (7) for fitting the wrench to remove the sieve, the drain chassis (3) that will accommodate all the other parts, the cylindrical opening (4) for fitting the drain pipe, the debris retaining pins (5) and the female fitting (6) of the fixing pin. Petition 870250070809, dated 12 / 08 / 2025, page 5 / 14 of 3 Figure 2 illustrates the structure of the drain chassis (3) in top and bottom perspective views, indicating the cylindrical opening (4) for fitting the drain pipe, the debris retaining pins (5) and the female fittings (6) for coupling the top cover (1). Figure 3 shows the top cover (1) in top and bottom perspective views, as well as the bottom view and also in side section, indicating the fitting pins (8), through which the top cover will be coupled to the drain chassis (3). Figure 4 illustrates the sieve or screen (2), in which there is a handle (7) where the key (9) can be fitted, making it easier to remove the screen for cleaning and maintenance. Description of the invention

[004] The device that is the subject of this utility model application is a concealed drain consisting of a chassis (3) in the form of an open box and having a cylindrical opening (4) for fitting the drain pipe. Around the upper part of the opening (4) there are several debris retention pins (5), which serve to prevent the passage of debris such as soap residue, hair and various debris.

[005] The device also consists of a screen or sieve (2) that fits into the top of the cylindrical opening (4), also preventing the flow of various debris. Said screen or sieve (2) has a handle for fitting a wrench (9), facilitating its removal for cleaning and maintenance.

[006] Part of the drain is the top cover (1) which is fitted into the chassis (3) by means of pins (8) inserted into the female fitting (6). On the top of the cover it is possible to lay flooring such as tiles and porcelain tiles, making the whole assembly described in this patent discreet and harmonious with the surrounding floor. New features, functional improvements, and usage examples.

[007] The object of the present utility model has the advantage of having two waste retention systems, one characterized by the already common screen or sieve (2), plus an improved function composed of waste retention pins (5), which provide additional protection, further reducing the amount of waste that reaches the sewer pipe. This reduces the Petition 870250070809, dated 12 / 08 / 2025, page 6 / 14 of 3, reduces the number of blockages and facilitates the cleaning and maintenance of the system.

[008] Another functional improvement over the prior art is the existence of a handle (7) for fitting a key (9), which facilitates the removal of the screen or sieve (2) for cleaning and maintenance. Petition 870250070809, dated 12 / 08 / 2025, page 7 / 14
