Description

/ 7 “ARRANGEMENT INTRODUCED IN AGRICULTURAL TOWED SPRAYING EQUIPMENT.” TECHNICAL FIELD

[001] This utility model relates to agricultural towed spraying equipment, of the type used to spray phytosanitary products such as pesticides or others on plantations such as coffee, oranges, apples, among others. Said spraying equipment is also of the type towed by a tractor-type vehicle and notably presents innovative constructive characteristics, considering that it provides a nacelle formed by a pair of printed plates in a single body and with arched ends that configure spray mist deflectors incorporated in the nacelle itself, which eliminates the need for the installation of additional sheet metal, and whose constructive configuration allows obtaining it in a single piece from a molding process.Said spraying equipment also receives a pair of protective troughs that attach to the vertical edges of one of the outer faces of the nacelle, by means of corresponding male and female fittings, each of these protective troughs supporting multiple spray nozzles, protecting them from the whipping of dirt during the spraying procedure. HISTORY OF THE TECHNIQUE

[002] Agricultural sprayers are essential tools in modern agriculture, designed to optimize the application of plant protection products, such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, to crops. They work by spraying liquids, transforming them into atomized particles that are evenly distributed over plants or soil.

[003] Currently, the market offers a variety of agricultural sprayer models, a common one being tractor-mounted or towed sprayers, consisting of a robust chassis connected to a tractor via a driveshaft for wheeled movement and supporting the storage tank for the spray mixture, a homogeneous mixture of water and pesticides. The pump, coupled to the chassis, is responsible for pressurizing the mixture, propelling it through specific pipes to the spray nozzles. The nozzles, in turn, are positioned Petition 870250072084, dated 08 / 15 / 2025, page 5 / 23 / 7 in the spray bars, which can be fixed or removable in relation to the nacelle, transform the pressurized spray mixture into a fine mist, which with the aid of a turbine and deflectors, installed in the nacelle, enables the dispersion of the mist, guaranteeing a uniform and efficient coverage of the desired area.

[004] Another sprayer model found in the state of the art can be seen in document no. BR 10 2020 014374 3, which presents an air intake system to be used in a sprayer-type agricultural machine or implement, which has a chassis, constructed of steel beams or tubes, this chassis carrying, on top, a reservoir or tank that interoperates with at least one section of spray nozzles arranged in a nacelle, this nacelle being constructed of fiberglass or other suitable material, from two transverse projection plates spaced apart, being characterized by the fact that these plates have the rough face projected towards the exterior portion of the nacelle, the lateral outlets of the nacelle having a free airflow, so that at least one deflector plate is mounted on these outlets, which may be of flat, angular or other suitable shape geometry,so that the spray sections are mounted on the inside of the respective plate.

[005] It turns out that the aforementioned state-of-the-art equipment has a nacelle that depends on the installation of deflectors to direct the spray mist, a fact that implies an increase in the weight of the structure and the need for specialized labor for assembly, in addition to representing expenses with the shaping of each loose part of the equipment for subsequent assembly.

[006] Another factor to be considered is that the equipment described above has spray nozzles with a rough face designed for the outer portion of the nacelle, and that although the distance from the perimeter of the airflow outlet reduces the entry of dirt into the nozzles, it does not have any protection to actually prevent the entry of dirt from the rear portion of the equipment. ANALYSIS OF THE STATE OF THE ART

[007] Research conducted in specialized databases revealed documents relating to agricultural spraying equipment, such as the document of Petition 870250072084, dated 08 / 15 / 2025, p. 6 / 23 / 7 No. MU 8402569-7 of the Applicant and comprising a bilateral fan for the application of agricultural pesticides comprising a set of profiles provided with a plurality of spray nozzles fed by a pipe of agricultural pesticide liquid, so that the application of the liquid to the plantation occurs by the release of the same by the nozzles and the air forced by the fan located in the center of the assembly, with said lateral profiles being advanced or retracted according to the terrain conditions by the hydraulic cylinders located in the lower and upper portions of the bilateral fan.

[008] Another sprayer model found on the market is envisioned in document no. PI 0300207-1, which presents a spraying mechanism for orchards, to be mounted on a conventional atomizer of the type comprising a pesticide solution reservoir, a suction pump and a spraying system, interconnected to the latter through a valve control, where the mechanism comprises at least one vertical rod on which a deflector assembly is mounted, consisting of a lower deflector, an upper deflector, lower and upper branches, lower and upper deflector fins, the entire lower and upper assembly dynamically interconnected by means of a cardan shaft, supported by a profiled structure that receives a hydraulic cylinder;Between two sets of deflectors, an axial fan is arranged along with a main deflector that directs the air generated by the fan through the main deflector, promoting an oscillation of the deflector vanes along with the spray branches on bearings. The transmission between the lower and upper spray systems is done via a cardan shaft, and the adjustment of the airflow height at the top of the mechanism is done hydraulically via a cylinder.

[009] Another document, number BR 20 2012 032096 2, presents a mounting arrangement for a spray bar to be applied to a spraying vehicle, comprising a spray bar equipped with a plurality of attachment points in an inverted U shape, or other suitable geometric shape, so that it couples to points arranged on the implement's chassis; said bar also has in its Petition 870250072084, dated 08 / 15 / 2025, page 7 / 23 / 7 end a support which receives a T-shaped screw whose end is threaded by means of a nut or other suitable means, causing said screw to fix, adjust and allow the removal of said bar without the need for tools or ladders.

[010] Thus, it is a fact that the documents cited in the paragraphs above, despite belonging to the same field of application, do not present any of the characteristics of the object now improved, thus guaranteeing that it meets the legal requirements for patentability. FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS

[011] The main functional improvement of the agricultural spraying equipment in question consists of the shaping of the nacelle plates, each in a single body and equipped with angled ends that configure spray deflectors embedded in the piece, as well as providing that the multiple spray nozzles are installed in protective channels that are attachable and removable in relation to the outer vertical edges of one of the faces of the nacelle, providing, for this purpose, male and female fitting means; each protective channel being locked by its respective manual operating lever. Advantages Obtained

[012] One of the advantages of the agricultural spraying equipment is that the nacelle is made in one piece, that is, the front and rear walls are unified at the bottom and center and have vertical edges with a uniform span and angled sectors towards the center of said span, eliminating the need to install additional plates to form deflectors, as is the case with state-of-the-art equipment.

[013] Another advantage of the present agricultural spraying equipment refers to the provision of protective troughs that enable the mounting and distribution of multiple spray nozzles and where each protective trough can be installed or removed in relation to the nacelle by means of a set of male and female fittings.

[014] Another advantage of the agricultural sprayer equipment refers to the provision of a manual locking lever for each protective chute, not only guaranteeing its Petition 870250072084, dated 08 / 15 / 2025, p. 8 / 23 / 7 positioning, such as the easy removal for eventual maintenance of the gutter and spray nozzles. [025] With reference to the illustrated drawings, the present utility model is Petition 870250072084, dated 08 / 15 / 2025, p. 9 / 23 / 7 refers to a “DISPOSITION INTRODUCED IN AGRICULTURAL TRAILED SPRAYING EQUIPMENT”, more precisely it is a spraying equipment (10) capable of being mounted on a chassis (CS), together with the agrochemical tank (TQ) and with means of coupling and connection with agricultural vehicles (not illustrated), such as a tractor or other similar; said spraying equipment (10) comprising a nacelle (11) formed by a rear face (11A) and a front face (11B) parallel to each other and which form (see figure 7) an internal air circulation compartment (CI) driven by a turbine (TB) installed in the central cradle (11b1) of the face (11B) of the nacelle (11) and whose turbine (TB) shaft (Tb1) passes through the compartment (CI) and is fixed in the cradle (11a1) of the face (11A);the nacelle (11) also provides that its vertical front (B1) and rear (B2) side edges form a gap (V) for the passage of forced air which propels the atomized particles from multiple spray nozzles (12), generally installed and distributed along the front (B1) and rear (B2) edges of one of the faces (11A) or (11B).

[026] According to the present utility model, the spraying equipment (10) comprises that the nacelle (11) is made in a single piece, obtained by rotomolding or other suitable process, having the front (B1) and rear (B2) edges angled at angles ranging from 10 to 20 degrees towards the center of the opening (V) configuring the deflector embedded (DE) in the nacelle itself (11). The center of the front face (11A) receives the fixing, by screws, of a metal frame (13) formed by two parallel vertical metal profiles (13A) and (13B) spaced apart in order to fix a central baffle (13c) for installation and protection of the turbine shaft (Tb1), as well as providing parallel crossbars, one lower (13d) and two upper (13e) and (13f), said crossbars (13b) and (13e) being slightly more extensive beyond the limits defined by the metal profiles (13A) and (13B) allowing the fixing of supports or cradles (13g).

[027] On the metal frame (13) and precisely on each of the vertical edges (B1) of the front face (11B) of the nacelle (11) is fixed a corresponding protective channel (14) receiving bars (12A) with spray nozzles (12), where each protective channel (14) is in turn equipped with pairs of short horizontal arms equipped with Petition 870250072084, dated 15 / 08 / 2025, page 10 / 23 / 7 hitches (14e) capable of fitting into the supports (13g) of said metal frame (13), thus, said protective channels (14) can be fixed to the metal structure (13) or removed by means of handles (14c) independently of each other. The lower supports (13g) also include, as an auxiliary locking element, respective manual locking levers (15).

[028] Said protective troughs (14) have a “C” shaped cross-section, having a central base (14a) with longitudinal walls (14a1), and on the inner face of the trough (14) are fixed the bars (12A) with the multiple spray nozzles (12) which, when mounted on the metal structure (13) and this on the nacelle (11), allow said spray nozzles (12) to be positioned and directed close to the built-in deflector (DE) formed by the gap (V) of the edges (B1) / (B2). Thus, (see detail in Figure 7) the air projected from inside the nacelle (11) through the gap (V) in association with the atomized particles of the spray nozzles (12) configure the production of the phytosanitary product spray, while the protective troughs (14) cover the nozzles (12), considerably reducing the possibility of contamination or clogging by dirt.

[029] The lower supports or cradles (13g) have an outer face with bearings (13g1) (see detail in Figure 8B) for shaft overlap (15b) for securing the locking lever (15), while the coupling (14e) provides a pair of tabs (14e1) for accommodating the locking tab (15c) of the lock (15).

[030] The articulated locking lever (15) is installed next to the lower supports (13g), by means of an axis (15b) that supports a tilting handle (15a), whose articulation configures the disengagement of the locking flap (15c), enabling the unlocking for removal of the laminar protections (14) in relation to the nacelle (11) or locking, for respective fixing.

[031] The preferred embodiment of the present utility model has been described, and any modifications and / or alterations should be understood as being within the scope of the utility model presented. Petition 870250072084, dated 08 / 15 / 2025, page 11 / 23
