Description
1 / 4 IMPROVEMENT INTRODUCED IN ICE CREAM SHELL WASHING TANK Field of Invention
[001] This Utility Model relates to an improvement of an ice cream scoop washing tank. The scoop is an instrument used in ice cream parlors to scoop ice cream into balls; the tank is a device fixed to a countertop and filled with water to allow the scoop to be washed between uses. This improvement enables more efficient and practical washing of the scoop, among other advantages. State of the Art
[002] It is known that, in all stores selling ice cream to the end consumer, an attendant, or the consumer themselves, uses a manual scoop to scrape a quantity of ice cream from the inside of a container, forming a ball, which is deposited in a plastic bowl or edible cone. The scoop remains there available to the consumer. Since the ice cream residue remaining in the scoop is undesirable, the method of continuously washing the scoops has been adopted. For this, the simplest method is to provide a container with water, which is placed on a counter adjacent to the refrigerated ice cream counter, which partially solves the problem, since it is observed that in a short time the water becomes saturated with residue from washing the scoop, becoming unpleasant and unhygienic, so it is necessary for an employee to momentarily remove the container and replace the dirty water with clean water, returning it to its place of use.In order to solve this problem, tanks were developed - for washing ice cream scoops - which are equipped with a water supply and drainage system, so as to... Petition 870250074347, dated 08 / 22 / 2025, page 5 / 11 2 / 4 that, as the water becomes saturated with residue from the ladle washing, an opening / closing valve is manually activated by an employee in order to renew the water inside the tank; however, this operation requires the attention of an employee, which demands manpower, and is not always performed satisfactorily, frequently resulting in slow water renewal inside the washing tank, among other inconveniences. Objectives of the Invention
[003] With the aim of solving these inconveniences, the present utility model was developed, which proposes a novel constructive arrangement of a tank for washing ice cream scoops. The present tank stands out from those already understood in the state of the art because it has an automated water supply and drainage system, promoting water exchange with a programmed frequency, according to observed needs. This functionality provides a constant renewal of water inside the tank, allowing for programming of intervals between switching on and off, avoiding water waste, and also eliminating the need for a worker, providing practicality, convenience and economy, among other advantages. Description of the drawings
[004] For a better understanding of the present utility model, a detailed description thereof is given below, making reference to the attached drawings, where: FIGURE 1 illustrates the shell washer in top perspective; FIGURE 2 illustrates the shell washer in top perspective, with a central vertical cutaway of the tub; FIGURE 3 illustrates the shell washer in a bottom perspective view; FIGURE 4 illustrates the ladle washer in top view; FIGURE 5 illustrates the ladle washer in bottom view; Petition 870250074347, dated 08 / 22 / 2025, page 6 / 11 3 / 4 FIGURE 6 illustrates the ladle washer in side view; and the FIGURE 7 illustrates the ladle washer in side view, with a central vertical cutaway of the bowl, including a representation of its mounting on a workbench. Detailed Description
[005] According to these illustrations and their details, the present utility model: IMPROVEMENT INTRODUCED IN ICE CREAM SHELL WASHING TANK comprises a tank (C), in the form of a cylindrical container, whose upper end is open, while its lower end is closed by a wall (P). Wherein, on the upper face of said lower wall (P) is disposed an opening (A) over which is formed an ascending vertical duct (D), whose upper end is disposed immediately below the height of the upper edge of the tank (C); and wherein, below said opening (A) is connected a drain pipe (T1). On the other hand, also on the lower wall (P) of the tank (C), but diametrically opposite to that opening (A) and duct (D), is disposed another opening, over which is mounted a nipple (N) provided with an orifice (O); wherein the lower end of the nipple (N) is connected to a lower pipe (T2) that supplies clean water.Whereas, the aforementioned tube (T2) is intersected by a solenoid valve (V), which has its actuation controlled by an electronic control module (M), which has a transmitter / receiver (R) for data and commands via radio frequency. And whereas, the module (M) is connected to a presence sensor (S).
[006] The installation and operation of the present The improvements introduced in the ice cream scoop washing tank are simple and practical. First, the assembly must be installed on a countertop (B) in the ice cream shop, so that the tank (C) is inserted into an opening made in the countertop (B), so that its upper edge is level with the face. Petition 870250074347, dated 08 / 22 / 2025, page 7 / 11 4 / 4 upper part of the workbench (B); while the pipes (T1) and (T2), the valve (V) and the module (M) should be below the workbench (B), preferably inside a cabinet; so that pipe (T1) should drain into a collection box or sewer system (not shown); while pipe (T2) should receive potable water from a reservoir or the public network (not shown), either by gravity or pressurization by pumping.Regarding its operation, the electronic module (M) is equipped with software to control the opening and closing of the solenoid valve (V); and it is also dedicated to communicating with an external remote control or preferably a smartphone equipped with a specific application; so that a store employee programs the frequency and time that the valve (V) is open and closed on the smartphone, thus allowing clean water to enter the interior of the tub (C) through the orifice (O) of the nipple (N), while the excess water is simultaneously drained through the duct (D), thus ensuring the constant renewal of water inside the tub (C), which guarantees that the ladle (not illustrated) is always being washed with fresh, clean water.Furthermore, the presence sensor (S) detects the user's approach, sending a signal to the module (M), which triggers the opening of the valve (V), preventing water waste during long periods when the shell is not being used.
[007] Logically, the present IMPROVEMENT INTRODUCED IN ICE CREAM SHELL WASHING TANK and its elements can be made with varied geometric shapes and proportions. The materials used can also be diverse, provided that the basic particular characteristics that are essential to its realization are maintained.
