Description

/ 4 “CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT APPLIED IN EQUIPMENT FOR WINDING CARGO STRAPS”. TECHNICAL FIELD

[001] This utility model patent application relates to the development of equipment for winding cargo straps, consisting of a means of fixing this equipment, for example, to the truck bed, a crank that rotates the shaft where the strap will be wound, a guide for the strap and bearings. HISTORY OF THE TECHNIQUE

[002] Cargo straps are very useful accessories for securing cargo in vehicles, whether trucks used in long-distance transport, intermodal transport, vans, or any other vehicle that needs to secure the transported material, being an efficient means of protecting the cargo being transported.

[003] Cargo straps are accessories that work under tension; therefore, they employ movable ratchets and hooks that allow for significant pressure to be exerted on what is being tied down.

[004] One end of the strap has a hook for attaching to points on the truck body and the ratchet is applied to the other end to establish the necessary tension.

[005] An example of a cargo strap can be seen from US document 8776323, which shows a strap assembly for securing a vehicle load, comprising a fixed flat strap fastened around a buckle crossbar and a specially configured hook attached to one end of the strap. The parts are configured so that when the hook and crossbar are engaged there is preferably an interference fit, allowing a master loop to be formed in the strap which will remain securely engaged even when there is slack in the strap. Furthermore, the Petition 870250090648, dated 05 / 10 / 2025, page 4 / 11 / 4 The hook / buckle combination is preferably configured so that substantial rotation of the hook relative to the buckle is required to disengage the two. There is also preferably a second similar hook attached to the opposite end of a second adjustable strap and a small twisted and / or folded loop embedded in the strap allowing a second main loop to engage the second hook with the twisted and / or folded loop. PROBLEM WITH THE TECHNIQUE

[006] These cargo straps need to be rolled up after use. They cannot be left lying around anywhere, as they will be damaged if stored improperly.

[007] A cargo strap for use on trucks can be several meters long and heavy to handle. For example, a CIA-S7-04 strap for 4 tons vertically, gray in color, 120mm wide, weighs 1 Kg / m. In a standard 9-meter strap, plus the strap hardware, there are approximately 10Kg that the truck driver will have to carefully wrap.

[008] Lay the strap on the ground, start wrapping the end without the hardware and continue until the end of the strap. This operation can be time-consuming, especially since several of these straps may be used on a truck.

[009] Considering this problem, cargo strap winding devices were developed. An example of this can be seen in document US701784, which discloses a winding apparatus (winder) used to quickly and conveniently wind cargo straps into individual reels for storage by conventional strap winches. The winder has a two-piece design, which includes a jaw-shaped cantilever and a removable crank. The jaw configuration of the cantilever is created by its toothed conical sides at its front and the pair of spaced parallel lugs at its rear. The removable crank can be installed on the cantilever in a winding position inserted between the two lugs or in a storage position fixed to the front section of the cantilever. The Petition 870250090648, 05 / 10 / 2025, p. 5 / 11 / 4 The cantilever is mounted on the belt winch in a plurality of positions to ensure that the rear of the cantilever extends beyond the edge of the trailer bed, providing easy access to the crank in its winding position. One end of a load belt is attached to the crank, which is installed on the cantilever, and the crank is manually turned to wind the load belts onto a reel.

[010] This solution is better than winding the belts manually, however this attachment has to be fixed and employs a cantilever to operate. PROPOSED SOLUTION

[011] Thus, due to the considerations pertinent to the state of the art discussed previously, one of the objectives of the present utility model now proposed is to develop equipment for winding cargo straps, which has the following characteristics: - It can be fixed in any position on the vehicle body, thanks to the wing nut fastening system; - Can be used for any strap width; - It features a top guide for winding the strap, eliminating the need for the user to manually adjust it to prevent kinks in the strap; - Composed of simple parts, easy to assemble and maintain. DESCRIPTION

[012] The characterization of the present utility model is made by means of representative figures of the equipment for rolling cargo straps, in such a way that the product can be fully reproduced by appropriate technique, allowing full characterization of the functionality of the object claimed.

[013] Based on the elaborated figures that express the best way to realize the product now conceived, the descriptive part of the report is based, through a detailed and consecutive numbering, where it clarifies aspects that may be Petition 870250090648, dated 05 / 10 / 2025, page 6 / 11 / 4 implied by the adopted representation, in order to clearly determine the protection now sought.

[014] These figures are merely illustrative and may present variations, provided they do not deviate from what was initially requested: Figure 01 shows an exploded view of the proposed equipment; - FIGURE 02 shows the front orthogonal view of the equipment illustrated in figure 01; and - FIGURE 03 shows the top orthogonal view of the equipment illustrated in figure 02.

[015] A preferred embodiment of the model comprises an L-shaped body (1) that can be fixed to the body of a vehicle, for example, a truck (not shown), by means of a wing nut (2) threaded onto the bolt (3), where said wing nut compresses the fixing plate (4) against the stop (5) of the body (1).

[016] Said L-shaped body (1) has an upper guide (6) next to the stop (5), containing an upper guide (6) two washers (7 and 8) for retaining the load strap (not shown), a bearing (9) in the distal part of the stop (5), in which two bearings (10 and 11) are coupled, through which the shaft (12) of the fork (13) passes, in which the load strap is fitted. A crank (14) is fitted to the shaft (12) fixed by means of a pin (15) and O-ring (16). Petition 870250090648, dated 05 / 10 / 2025, p. 7 / 11
