1 / 4 CONSTRUCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT INTRODUCED IN A BICYCLE WITH CENTRAL SUSPENSION
[001] This utility model patent relates to a new constructive arrangement introduced in a bicycle with central suspension, belonging to the mechanical technical area, with application in the urban mobility and leisure sector. More particularly, it relates to a bicycle with suspension on both wheels, arranged in the central part, through which very advantageous practical, safe and functional results are obtained.
[002] Bicycles currently on the market that feature suspension on both wheels have telescopic fork suspension at the front and a swingarm and linkage at the rear. The drawback is the large number of parts involved, which consequently increases the weight and final cost of the product.
[003] As part of the state of the art, we highlight the document BR202012027983-0, published on 05 / 08 / 2014, referring to the “CONSTRUCTIVE CONFIGURATION OF A BICYCLE FRAME WITH SUSPENSION”, where, according to its summary: “it presents a utility model referring to a unique constructive configuration of a bicycle frame, which was designed to accommodate shock absorbers in an arrangement distinct from the state of the art, and which allows the use of shock absorbers generally used in motorcycles. The frame is basically made up of tubular elements and has articulation features for the use of front and rear shock absorbers.”
[004] Also as part of the state of the art, we highlight the document PI1101653-1, published on 06 / 11 / 2011, referring to “FRAME WITH TRIPLE SUSPENSION AND DAMPING SYSTEM FOR BICYCLE”, where according to its summary, we have: “This dealt with Petition 870250106333, dated 11 / 19 / 2025, page 6 / 14 2 / 4 patent application for an invention, for a bicycle frame that brings as an inventive novelty, a triple damping system formed by an articulator (8), which works with the set of shock absorbers (9) aligned linearly and vertically with each other, responsible for damping the rear structure (10), from the effects of riding on uneven surfaces. Thus the upper shock absorber (12) and the lower shock absorber (16), working together with the fork shock absorber (21), form the triple damping system.”
[005] It should be noted, however, that the suspensions described above present the same drawbacks as the prior art, with a complex construction, with many parts, which consequently generates an increase in weight and the final cost of the product. Therefore, these documents represent the prior art, but are not particularly relevant to what is being proposed.
[006] Thus, in seeking to solve the problems identified in the state of the art, the bicycle with central suspension was developed, which, according to its constructive arrangement, has suspension on both wheels, located in the central part, solving the aforementioned inconveniences, in addition to providing other advantages resulting from its design.

[008] According to the figures presented, the present constructive arrangement introduced in a bicycle with central suspension, which has a saddle (S), wheels (R), pedals (P), handlebars (G) and frame (Q), where the central chassis (1), in “L” shape, is formed by the upper (11) and lower (12) portions, where in the upper part of the intersection region there is a tubular body (13) for coupling the saddle (S), and in the lower part two protrusions (14) with holes for fixing the pistons (2) which are also fixed to the front (3) and rear (4) swingarms which have their central ends fixed to the crossbar (15) provided in the center of the lower portion (12), which also has a hole (16) provided at the end for coupling the pedals (P); at the end of the upper portion (11) is provided the upper steering box (17) in which the handlebar (G) is coupled on the upper face and on the lower part, one of the ends of the handlebar torque transfer arc (5).Said arch (5) has its other end fixed to the lower steering box (31), provided at the other end of the front swingarm (3), which receives on its lower face the fork (6) in which the front wheel (R) is fixed and the rear wheel (R) is fixed at the rear end of the rear swingarm (4). All parts are fixed by axles, pins or screws.
[009] With the new constructive arrangement introduced in a bicycle with central suspension, thus obtained, it has a central frame (1) where the saddle (S) is attached and at its front end is the upper headset (17) for attaching the handlebars (G). Below the saddle (S) are the shock absorbers (2), the front swingarm (3) with the fork (6) for attaching the front wheel (R), and the rear swingarm (4) for attaching the rear wheel (R). The fork (6) is attached to the headset (17) by means of the handlebar torque transfer arch (5). Below the swingarms (3 and 4) is Petition 870250106333, dated 11 / 19 / 2025, page 8 / 14 4 / 4 the central box where the central axle, the sprocket and the pedals (P) are coupled to transmit movement to the wheel. Due to the arrangement of the components and shock absorbers (2), its center of gravity is closer to the central part, and with the application of load on the saddle (S) (cyclist's weight), and this load being multiple times the weight of the bicycle, the center of gravity with load moves practically to the vertical line of the saddle (S), making the load distribution to the wheels (R) more equalized. The torque transfer from the upper headset (17) to the lower headset (31) is done through the torque transfer arch (5) of the handlebar (G) which also functions to absorb the misalignments between the upper (17) and lower (31) headsets that occur due to the tilting movements of the front swingarm (3).
[010] The new constructive arrangement introduced in bicycles with central suspension offers the following advantages over the prior art: - Reactions to impacts caused by road or terrain irregularities will be concentrated on the shock absorber mounts in the central frame, which minimizes vibrations in the handlebars, providing more comfort and relieving rider fatigue; - Use of a front shock absorber identical to the rear shock absorber; - Simple, elongated scales due to crossed tilting points; - Allows the use of a short, rigid fork, preventing flexing during braking.
