Description
"IMPROVEMENT INTRODUCED IN MALE URINARY ABSORBENT"
[001] The present utility model patent application follows for an “IMPROVEMENT INTRODUCED IN A MALE URINARY ABSORBENT”, where the male absorbent consists of a high-capacity absorbent structure that adopts an oval and anatomically shaped orifice, specifically configured to simultaneously receive the penis and scrotum of the user. This strategic opening is located in the region corresponding to the upper third of the device's body, presenting a defined external contour with lateral and upper adhesive elements.
[002] The application and adjustment process begins by directing the genitalia towards the oval-shaped orifice, allowing the absorbent structure to position itself flush with the pubic base and establish a seal through a safety margin that prevents leakage. The resulting anatomical anchoring uses the scrotum and penis's own volume to fill the orifice, ensuring stable fixation without the need for compression devices or adhesive tapes directly on the organ. Closure is achieved by folding the structure's flaps over the main body and applying the adhesives, keeping the assembly sealed and aligned with the torso.
[003] This configuration ensures controlled direction and uniform distribution of urinary flow, optimizing retention even in orthostatic or lateral decubitus positions. In addition to absorption, the anatomical interaction prevents fluid reflux and enables diuresis measurement by weight equivalence, where one gram corresponds to one milliliter, giving the object the technical capacity to act as a non-invasive substitute for Petition 870260013899, dated 12 / 02 / 2026, page 9 / 22 / 6 indwelling bladder catheterization and external devices with tubular collection bags, providing a safe alternative for clinical and home management. STATE OF THE ART:
[004] The state of the art for the management and measurement of male diuresis, especially in hospital settings, is predominantly based on the use of indwelling urinary catheterization, which, despite being effective in fluid control, is an invasive procedure associated with severe risks such as urinary tract infections, trauma, urethral stricture, and chronic pain. As non-invasive alternatives, the current scenario offers the use of conventional diapers, which are intended only for passive absorption and lack stable fixation, or external urinary devices connected to collection bags via tubing. The latter suffer from instability and the risk of penile trauma, as fixation occurs directly on the penis using adhesive tapes or compressive means, in addition to being subject to obstructions in the tubing system.
[005] As an example of an absorption device, document PI 0705951-5, entitled “MALE INTIMATE HYGIENIC PROTECTOR”, is cited, developed to absorb residues such as residual urination (last drop), inflammatory secretions or smergma leaks. The device acts as a protective glove for the penis, held at the proximal level of the genitalia and adjacent to the scrotum, being made of porous fabric for ventilation and having a lower gelatinous layer for waterproofing. Its structure comprises a proximal opening for the introduction of the organ and a rounded end for absorption, with anchoring guaranteed by a tensioned pressure band that generates a puckering on the body of the penis. Petition 870260013899, dated 12 / 02 / 2026, page 10 / 22 / 6, and may also include an adhesive strip for attaching to the user's underwear.
[006] However, devices such as the one mentioned and other known devices that do not use bags fail to provide stable fixation without the aid of adhesives or additional straps, presenting a constant risk of displacement. This chronic instability renders such technologies unviable as safe functional substitutes for bladder catheterization, leaving unsolved the need for a system that combines high absorption capacity, stable anatomical fixation, and fluid control without harming the patient. PATENT OBJECTIVE
[007] Aiming to overcome such inconveniences, the present invention proposes an innovative technical solution that surpasses the limitations of prior art by introducing a high-capacity absorbent structure with an oval-shaped and anatomically shaped orifice strategically located in its upper third. Unlike the prior art, which relies on invasive procedures or direct and compressive fixation to the genital organ—methods that result in infections and trauma—the present solution utilizes the inherent volume of male anatomy to simultaneously accommodate the penis and scrotum, creating a natural and stable anchorage.
[008] The application process begins with directing the genitalia towards the aforementioned orifice, allowing the structure to position itself flush against the pubic base and establish a seal through a safety margin that prevents leakage. The fixation is consolidated without the need for means that constrict the organ, with the final adjustment being made by folding the structure's flaps over the main body and applying lateral and superior adhesive elements that keep the assembly sealed and aligned with the torso. This Petition 870260013899, dated 12 / 02 / 2026, page 11 / 22 / 6 configuration ensures controlled direction and uniform distribution of urinary flow, maintaining stability even in orthostatic or lateral decubitus positions.
[009] In addition to solving instability and the risk of skin lesions, the anatomical interaction prevents the return of absorbed urine and enables precise measurement of diuresis through weight equivalence, where one gram corresponds to one milliliter. In this way, the object acts as a non-invasive functional substitute for bladder catheterization and tubular collection systems, offering a safe and low-cost technical alternative that improves the user's quality of life by preventing odors, infections, and embarrassing stains.
[010] Explained superficially, the present request can be better understood according to the attached drawings, which show: FIGURE 1 - Schematic top perspective view of the male absorbent pad showing the outer contour of the absorbent structure, highlighting the oval and anatomically shaped orifice strategically located in the upper third of the device body, as well as showing the arrangement of the lateral adhesive elements. FIGURE 2 - Schematic side view of the beginning of the application process, demonstrating the direction of the penis and scrotum towards the oval-shaped orifice of the absorbent structure; FIGURE 3 - Schematic side view of insertion: Shows the side cut of the device at the moment when the genitalia passes through the oval-shaped orifice, positioning the structure flush with the pubic base to establish the initial seal; FIGURE 4 - Schematic lateral view of anchoring, demonstrating the anatomical interaction, where the volume of the scrotum and penis is covered by the absorbent structure, promoting the Petition 870260013899, dated 12 / 02 / 2026, page 12 / 22 / 6 stable fixation and the closing of the safety margin against leaks. FIGURE 5 - Schematic top view of the closure, demonstrating the adjustment step, with the absorbent structure folded over the body of the male absorbent pad and the beginning of the fixation by the upper adhesive element; FIGURE 6 - Schematic view of the assembled device, showing the male absorbent pad fully sealed and aligned with the torso, with the side adhesive elements and the top adhesive element properly applied, ensuring the stability necessary for absorption and measurement of urine output.
[011] In accordance with the attached drawings, the present utility model patent application follows for an “IMPROVEMENT INTRODUCED IN A MALE URINARY ABSORBENT”, wherein the male absorbent (1) consists of a high-capacity absorbent structure (2), which adopts an oval-shaped and anatomical orifice (3), specifically configured to simultaneously receive the penis and scrotum of the user. This strategic opening is located in the region corresponding to the upper third of the body of the male absorbent (1), also presenting an external contour (4) defined with lateral (5) and upper (6) adhesive elements.
[012] The application process begins with the approximation and insertion of the male genitalia, simultaneously directing the penis and scrotum towards the oval-shaped orifice (3). As the organs pass through the opening, the absorbent structure (2) positions itself flush with the pubic base, establishing the necessary contact for sealing through a safety margin that surrounds the genital base to prevent leakage of fluids.
[013] The completion of this insertion results in a stable anatomical anchoring, where the volume of the scrotum and penis itself Petition 870260013899, dated 12 / 02 / 2026, page 13 / 22 / 6 fills the oval-shaped orifice (3), dispensing with the use of compression devices or adhesive tapes directly on the organ. With the anchoring established, the final adjustment proceeds with the folding of the absorbent structure tabs (2) over the body of the male absorbent (1), followed by the application of the upper adhesive element (6) and the lateral adhesive elements (5).
[014] This closure keeps the outer contour (4) completely sealed and aligned with the trunk, ensuring that the urinary flow is directed in a controlled manner to the area of greatest capacity of the absorbent structure (2). Properly positioned, the device promotes a uniform distribution of urine, optimizing retention time and ensuring the stability of the assembly even in orthostatic or lateral decubitus positions.
[015] Additionally, the anatomical interaction prevents the return of absorbed urine and allows the male absorbent (1) to act in the control and measurement of diuresis, considering a density of 1g for every 1ml. Finally, this configuration gives the object the technical capacity to act as a non-invasive substitute for indwelling urinary catheterization and external urinary devices with tubular collection bags, offering a safe alternative for clinical hospital and home management.
