Description

1 / 14 “FAIRING PROTECTION FOR ATVs”

[001] The present utility model refers to a fairing protection for an all-terrain vehicle (quadricycle), such that this modular structure can preserve the fairing, avoiding the constant replacement of parts when they are damaged after use of the all-terrain vehicle (quadricycle).

[002] The all-terrain vehicle (quad bike) is commonly used by users who undertake trips or trails, whether on uneven terrain, dunes, muddy and wet areas, crossing roads and highways, and dry land. Due to these factors, during its use, the fairing may be damaged either by the trail or trip being undertaken or by collisions between quad bikes. There are several factors that contribute to the fairing being damaged during the use of the quad bike.

[003] Due to this fact, the present utility model was conceived to protect the fairing of all-terrain vehicles (quadricycles), being adaptable to any quadricycle currently available, such as: the Honda FourTrax 420 (TRX 420), Honda FourTrax 350, Polaris Sportsman (570 / 850 / 1000), Can-Am Outlander (570 / 650 / 1000), CFMoto CForce (450 / 520 / 625), MXF Motors (300 / 400 line), Polaris RZR, Can-Am Renegade, Yamaha Grizzly (700), Hisun (Tactic 400i) and other quadricycle models currently on the market.

[004] The design of its protective structure was developed without compromising the aesthetics or mobility of the vehicle, with the main focus being to protect the fairing of the all-terrain vehicle (quad bike), so that the shape faithfully follows the lines of the quad bike's fairing, ensuring efficient coverage in the main exposure areas of the quad bike, covering the following positions: front, right front side, left front side, rear, right rear side and left rear side. Each curvature and attachment point was developed to absorb impacts and distribute force evenly, reducing direct damage to the fairing in extreme use situations, such as trails, uneven terrain or eventual collisions. Petition 870260038107, dated 04 / 24 / 2026, page 5 / 39 2 / 14

[005] Given this, its structure was designed to be easy to install, adaptable to different quad bike models, to provide strength and lightness, avoiding overloading the vehicle, preserving its performance during use.

[006] Its design allows access to important components without the need for complex disassembly. With this in mind, the raw materials used to construct this fairing protection will be 1-inch iron pipes, 1 / 2-inch rebar, 1-inch flat iron bars, 4-inch U-profiles, hexagonal bolts, generally in M8 or M10 standard, accompanied by locking nuts and pressure washers. The chosen material provides high durability and robustness, essential characteristics for facing adverse conditions.

[007] Its main structure is composed of 1-inch iron tubes, responsible for forming the base of the assembly, offering robustness without compromising the lightness necessary for the proper functioning of the quadricycle, as shown in figures 5 and 12. Structural reinforcement for fairing protection is provided using 1 / 2-inch rebar, which directly contributes to increased resistance to impacts and deformations, as shown in figures 5 and 12. These elements work in conjunction with the 4-inch U-profile, which provides greater rigidity to the assembly, especially in areas requiring greater support and fairing protection, as shown in figures 10 and 13.

[008] To complement this protection, 1 / 4 inch flat bars are applied, used at strategic points for reinforcement, finishing and better load distribution, ensuring greater stability and safety to the equipment as a whole. After the structure is built, its final finish will be an electrostatic paint, to provide greater durability and resistance to corrosion.

[009] The fairing protection installation system was designed to meet different needs, being adaptable in two forms: the fixed version, made by means of high-strength welding, indicated for those seeking maximum firmness and durability; and the bolted version, which allows greater practicality in installation and removal, offering flexibility to the user. For the Petition 870260038107, dated 04 / 24 / 2026, page 6 / 39 For the 3 / 14 weld version, 8 half-inch rebars are used, and for the bolted version, between 6 and 8 half-inch rebars are used.

[010] The colored figures in this drawing serve only to assist the technician in understanding and identifying the descriptive report in comparison with the images, in which five types of colors are found in the drawings: blue, red, dark red, light green, gray, and white. The colors blue, red, dark red, and white are directed to the composition of the bolted fairing protection, where the blue color represents 1x1 / 4 inch flat bars, which will be bolted to the white front and rear luggage racks. The red color represents the rebar welded to the blue parts, and the light green color represents the 1-inch iron tubes, which is the main structure of the fairing protection.

[011] It can be seen that each color is in a unique position, the red rebars will be welded both to the light green iron tubes and to the blue flat bars, and the iron tubes will be welded directly to the blue parts, as shown in figures 12, 13 and 14. The front protection of the fairing is also light green, indicating a 4-inch “U” profile, with dark red rebars welded to two light red rebars and to the U-shaped flat iron bar, offering resistance and distributing the impact force evenly.

[012] The gray coloring demonstrates the composition of the welded fairing protection, in which the main structure, consisting of iron tubes, rebars and 4-inch “U” profiles, is welded to the front and rear luggage racks in white, and is only bolted to the footrest platform for the user, as shown in figures 5, 6, 7 and 8.
