Description

1 / 7 CONSTRUCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT APPLIED TO A TELESCOPIC FISHING ROD MODEL FIELD

[001] This utility model patent application relates to a product applied to a telescopic fishing rod, particularly aimed at the field of fishing equipment and accessories, more specifically telescopic rods made up of tubular segments that fit together by sliding, with application in fishing activities and related sectors of manufacturing and marketing of fishing articles. BACKGROUND OF THE MODEL

[002] Namely, conventional telescopic rods consist of tubular sections that fit together by overlapping, allowing for retraction and extension.

[003] In normal use, the most critical regions are located at the ends of the aforementioned tubular sections, where stress concentrations occur due to bending, impact, local compression and repetitive friction between surfaces during opening and closing cycles.

[004] Nevertheless, solutions such as local thickness increases, resin and / or varnish application, spot reinforcements, and surface finishes applied to specific parts of the rod are known. However, in many cases, these measures do not provide adequate protection to the ends of all tubular sections, resulting in premature wear and failure in these areas. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED

[005] Currently, cracks and fissures are observed in the rod blank, at the ends of the tubular segments, due to stress concentration and progressive microcracks. Local crushing and ovalization at the mouth of the tubular segment, corresponding to the exit and entry region of the telescopic joint, with reduced rigidity and reliability. Wear due to friction between tubular segments during telescopic movement, causing play, loss of adjustment and reduced lifespan. Increased incidence of impact and handling damage, including drops and shocks, on the edges. Petition 870260057257, dated 12 / 06 / 2026, page 5 / 21 2 / 7 of the tubular segments are exposed. More frequent maintenance and replacement are needed due to localized degradation at the joints. CURRENT STATE OF THE ART

[006] The document BR 202014006626-3, published on 01 / 12 / 2015, is known from the current state of the art; it discloses a fishing rod equipped with a damping mechanism consisting of a friction device associated with a flexible main cable attached to a movable tip. The system is activated only when larger fish are hooked, dampening the pull to prevent the fishing line from breaking, while maintaining the sensitivity necessary to catch small fish on the same rod.

[007] Document BR 202024003008-2, published on 02 / 09 / 2025, discloses a telescopic rod with an integrated measuring ruler, formed by rod sections containing the graduation of a ruler. The connection of the sections allows the simultaneous assembly of the firm fishing structure and the graduated ruler, facilitating the immediate measurement of the fish size to verify compliance with environmental standards and mitigate the time the animal is out of the water.

[008] US patent 2015 / 0150227 A1, published on 06 / 04 / 2015, discloses a fishing rod comprising a tip made of resin material reinforced with short fibers dispersed in a resin matrix. The short fibers have an average diameter of 3 to 15 μm and an average length of 0.5 to 10 mm, and are distributed in such a way that they are axially aligned in the outer radial region to increase bending stiffness and anisotropically arranged in the central region to increase torsional strength.

[009] Unlike the prior art documents mentioned, which respectively address a friction damping mechanism for absorbing traction during the hookset, a measuring ruler integrated into the sections of the telescopic rod, and a tip made of composite material with short oriented fibers to increase bending stiffness and torsional strength, the present model is distinguished by a constructive arrangement applied directly to the functional ends of the tubular segments of the telescopic rod, by means of the external mounting of reinforcing metal rings on the exit edges and telescopic fitting, Petition 870260057257, dated 12 / 06 / 2026, page 6 / 21 3 / 7 preferably equipped with a chamfered and / or rounded inner edge and fixed in a solid manner to the respective tubular segments, forming a peripheral containment strap capable of structurally reinforcing such ends, reducing radial opening and ovalization, protecting the edges against friction and impact, and preserving the telescopic adjustment throughout use. MODEL OBJECTIVES

[010] The aim of this model is to structurally reinforce the ends of each tubular segment of the telescopic fishing rod.

[011] The aim of this model is to protect the blank against failures due to cracking, crushing and wear in the fitting and friction region.

[012] The aim of this model is to increase the service life of the telescopic assembly under repetitive use and under typical fishing loads. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE MODEL

[013] The present model consists of a telescopic fishing rod formed by multiple tubular segments that fit together by sliding, whose functional ends are provided with reinforcing metal rings, arranged in such a way as to act as peripheral containment sleeves capable of structurally reinforcing the fitting edges, reducing stress concentrations, protecting the tubular material against wear from friction and impact damage, and increasing the durability of the telescopic assembly. ADVANTAGES OF THE MODEL

[014] The present model includes the following advantages: ✓ Greater mechanical resistance in critical areas, with better stress distribution; ✓ Reduced wear on the ends, preserving the telescopic adjustment for longer; ✓ Reduced chance of premature failure, increasing the durability and reliability of the equipment; ✓ Protection of the blank against handling damage, acting as a containment strap and / or protective surface; ✓ Reduction of radial opening and ovalization; Petition 870260057257, dated 12 / 06 / 2026, page 7 / 21 4 / 7 ✓ Decrease in slack over time; ✓ Protection against friction and impact on the edges; ✓ Increased durability of the telescopic rod. [017] In more detail, the primary tubular segment (2) comprises, at its initial end, a threaded rear cap (3), and has, along a proximal section of its outer surface, a non-slip, frosted layer (4) and Petition 870260057257, dated 12 / 06 / 2026, p. 8 / 21 5 / 7 featuring a rough texture, designed to improve the grip on the telescopic fishing rod (1) during use.

[018] The primary tubular segment (2) has a distal functional end (5) associated with the exit and guidance of the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A), the distal functional end (5) being externally provided with a reinforcing metal ring (6), mounted around the periphery of the respective edge. Correspondingly, the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A) has a distal functional end (5A) provided with a reinforcing metal ring (6A), the tertiary tubular segment (2B) has a distal functional end (5B) provided with a reinforcing metal ring (6B), on the telescopic rod (1).

[019] The reinforcing metal ring (6), the reinforcing metal ring (6A), the reinforcing metal ring (6B) and the reinforcing metal ring (6C) have an annular or cylindrical shape, with sufficient axial width to reinforce the edge of the primary tubular segment (2), the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A) and the tertiary tubular segment (2B), as well as to protect the critical telescopic fitting region. The reinforcing metal ring (6) comprises a chamfered and / or rounded inner edge (7), the reinforcing metal ring (6A) comprises a chamfered and / or rounded inner edge (7A), the reinforcing metal ring (6B) comprises a chamfered and / or rounded inner edge (7B), suitable for reducing stress concentrations and minimizing the risk of damage to the tubular material of the primary tubular segment (2), the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A), the tertiary tubular segment (2B) and the subsequent additional tubular segment (2C) during assembly and during telescopic operation. The metal reinforcement ring (6), the metal reinforcement ring (6A), the metal reinforcement ring (6B) and the metal reinforcement ring (6C) are made of metallic material with adequate rigidity and strength, and may be made of steel, including stainless steel, or functionally equivalent material, with a finish suitable to reduce corrosion and wear.

[020] The metal reinforcement ring (6), the metal reinforcement ring (6A) and the metal reinforcement ring (6B) are fixed in a solid manner to the primary tubular segment (2), to the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A), to the tertiary tubular segment (2B), Petition 870260057257, dated 12 / 06 / 2026, page 9 / 21 6 / 7 respectively, by dimensional interference, by structural adhesive, by mechanical forming, or by a combination of these solutions. Optionally, an intermediate element (8) may be disposed between the reinforcing metal ring (6) and the primary tubular segment (2), an intermediate element (8A) may be disposed between the reinforcing metal ring (6A) and the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A), an intermediate element (8B) may be disposed between the reinforcing metal ring (6B) and the tertiary tubular segment (2B), the intermediate element (8), the intermediate element (8A), and the intermediate element (8B) having low friction and / or elastomeric nature, for tolerance compensation, vibration reduction, and acting as a protective interface.

[021] In the collected condition, the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A), the tertiary tubular segment (2B) of the telescopic fishing rod (1) remain housed telescopically within the primary tubular segment (2), with the terminal tip (P) retracted towards the interior of the assembly. For placing the telescopic fishing rod (1) in a usable condition, the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A) and the tertiary tubular segment (2B) of the telescopic fishing rod (1) are axially displaced out of the primary tubular segment (2) and the immediately adjacent subsequent tubular segments, in successive sequence, forming regions of telescopic overlap between the primary tubular segment (2) and the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A), between the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A) and the tertiary tubular segment (2B), and between the tertiary tubular segment (2B) and the terminal tip (P).In the extended condition, the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A) and the tertiary tubular segment (2B) of the telescopic fishing rod (1) remain telescopically seated in relation to the immediately adjacent tubular segments, in a telescopic fit with subsequent operational retention, sufficient to maintain the elongated working configuration.

[022] During use, especially under bending and stabbing load, the distal functional end (5) of the primary tubular segment (2), the distal functional end (5A) of the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A), and the distal functional end (5B) of the tertiary tubular segment (2B) constitute regions of high mechanical stress, susceptible to cracks and local deformations. In this condition, the reinforcing metal ring Petition 870260057257, dated 12 / 06 / 2026, page 10 / 21 7 / 7 (6), the metal reinforcement ring (6A) and the metal reinforcement ring (6B) act as peripheral containment straps, increasing the circumferential resistance of the corresponding ends and reducing radial opening and ovalization. During the opening and closing cycles of the telescopic fishing rod (1), the metal reinforcement ring (6), the metal reinforcement ring (6A) and the metal reinforcement ring (6B) additionally protect the edges of the primary tubular segment (2), the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A) and the tertiary tubular segment (2B), against friction and impact, reducing wear of the constituent tubular material, preserving the telescopic fit and decreasing clearances over time.

[023] In constructive variations included in the present model, the reinforcing metal ring (6), the reinforcing metal ring (6A) and the reinforcing metal ring (6B) may have different axial widths, thicknesses and edge geometries, including straight edge, chamfered edge and rounded edge, as well as fixation exclusively by dimensional interference, exclusively by structural adhesive, or by a combination of these solutions, remaining configured, in any case, the peripheral reinforcement applied to the functional ends of the primary tubular segment (2), the adjacent secondary tubular segment (2A) and the tertiary tubular segment (2B) of the telescopic fishing rod (1).
