Diaper with collection pouch

Abstract

A diaper comprises a backing layer and an absorbent core comprising top and bottom absorption core sections. The bottom absorption core section defines a top inner side and an opposite bottom side connected to the backing layer. The top absorption core section defines a top side and an opposite underside surface overlying the top inner side surface which are connected together about a contour junction therebetween with at least a substantial part thereof being unconnected to each other to define a collection pouch therebetween. A top layer is connected to the top side of the top absorption core section. An adhesive region is formed at the top layer defining a pouch opening in communication with the collection pouch. When the diaper is worn by a user, the adhesive region is inserted in the intergluteal cleft region of the user to adhere thereto for positioning the pouch opening about the anus of the user providing for faecal matter to enter the collection pouch during defecation via the opening.
