Description

Elastic pad with open spring layer and its application

[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0002] This application claims the basis of the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on December 14, 2023, with application number: 2023117205563, and the name of the invention: "A kind of elastic pad", and claims partial priority thereof. Part of the content of the Chinese patent application is hereby introduced into the text of this application.

[0003] This application also claims the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on April 8, 2024, with application number: 2024104138743, and the name of the invention: "An elastic pad with an open spring layer and its application" as the basis, and claims partial priority thereof. Part of the content of the Chinese patent application is hereby introduced into the text of this application. Technical Field

[0004] The invention belongs to the technical field of elastic pads, and in particular relates to an elastic pad with an open spring layer and applications thereof. Background Art

[0005] As people's material lives gradually improve, their demands for household products are also changing. This is especially true for products like mattresses and sofa cushions, which require users to sit or lie down for long periods of time. The demand is not only increasing, but also becoming more diversified.

[0006] It should be noted that mattresses in the current home product market are clearly divided into high-end and low-end mattresses. Low-end mattresses are typically thinner and easier to transport and store, but to some extent they fail to meet the user's comfort needs. High-end mattresses, on the other hand, are typically complex internal structures, exquisitely crafted, and thicker, providing users with superior comfort when sitting or lying down. However, precisely because of their complex internal structure, high-end mattresses are non-detachable, resulting in users purchasing a one-piece, inseparable mattress, which is inconvenient when transporting and storing the mattress. Furthermore, if some components of a high-end mattress age, users cannot perform targeted maintenance and must discard the entire mattress, which also results in a certain amount of waste. To address this issue, some resilient mattresses with detachable cushioning layers have appeared on the market, such as the applicant's prior application CN92191889A, which features a detachable outer cover with replaceable spring layers and cushioning layers stacked within it. This somewhat alleviates the issue of non-replaceable resilient mattress or mattress components, but there is still room for improvement in mattress disassembly and assembly, as well as in mattress air permeability. Summary of the Invention

[0007] The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the defects of the prior art and provide an elastic pad with an open spring layer and its application.

[0008] The technical solutions of the present invention are as follows:

[0009] An elastic pad with an open spring layer comprises a spring layer and a flexible pad layer;

[0010] The spring layer includes a plurality of pre-compressed springs arranged in an array, a plurality of connecting seats are provided on the periphery of the spring layer, a cushion layer is laid on top of the spring layer, and a plurality of plug-ins or hangers extend from the periphery of the cushion layer. The plug-ins or hangers are plugged into or hung on the connecting seats to fix the spring layer to the cushion layer;

[0011] At least part of the side surfaces of the spring layer are not covered by the insert or the hanger.

[0012] In some possible implementations, the connecting seat is provided on a side of the pre-compression spring.

[0013] In some possible embodiments, a plurality of connection structures are provided on the peripheral side ring of the connection seat, and two connection structures are connected to each other, or the two connection structures are connected by a third member;

[0014] Each pre-compression spring is provided with a connecting seat, and two adjacent pre-compression springs are connected via a connecting structure.

[0015] In some possible implementations, the spring layer further includes a bottom plate, the bottom plate abuts against an end of the pre-compression spring away from the cushion layer, and the connecting seat is provided on the bottom plate.

[0016] In some possible implementations, the base plate is formed by winding hard wires, and the hard wires protrude outward from the outer circumference of the base plate to form a connecting seat, and the hanger is hung on the connecting seat.

[0017] In some possible implementations, the bottom plate is provided with a plurality of upwardly protruding positioning posts, and the bottoms of at least part of the pre-compressed springs are plugged into the positioning posts.

[0018] In some possible implementations, a peripheral edge is provided on the circumferential side of the cushion layer, the peripheral edge being parallel to the elastic force direction of the pre-compressed spring and covering the upper end of the side surface of the spring layer;

[0019] The plug-in or hanging piece is formed by extending downwards from the surrounding edge, or the plug-in or hanging piece is fixed on the surrounding edge.

[0020] In some possible implementations, two adjacent pre-compression springs are connected at a midpoint.

[0021] In some possible implementations, the elastic pad includes multiple pad layers with different hardness.

[0022] The invention discloses an application of an elastic pad. The elastic pad with an open spring layer is used for a sofa, a mattress, an ottoman or a camping mat.

[0023] The present invention has at least the following beneficial effects:

[0024] The cushion layer is directly connected or hung on the connecting seat of the spring layer through a plug-in or hanger and is fixed to the spring layer, which has a simple structure and is easy to assemble and disassemble. Since the cushion layer does not seal the side of the spring layer but directly exposes the pre-compressed spring, it has better air permeability than the closed cushion layer and spring layer in the traditional elastic cushion.

[0025] In some possible embodiments, each pre-compression spring is provided with a connecting seat that can be connected to each other through a connecting structure. Two adjacent pre-compression springs are connected in the middle or upper end. The springs are elastically connected, do not form an integral whole, do not interfere with each other, and have better independence.

[0026] In some other possible implementations, the flexible cushion layer is connected and fixed to the upper end of the side surface of the spring layer through a surrounding edge provided on the circumference of the ring cushion layer, and the flexible cushion layer is consistent with the traditional structure. [0063] In the description of the present invention, it should be noted that, unless otherwise clearly stipulated and limited, the terms "installed", "provided with", "set / connected", "connected", etc. should be understood in a broad sense. For example, "connection" can be a wall-mounted connection, a detachable connection, or an integral connection. It can be a mechanical connection or an electrical connection. It can be a direct connection or an indirect connection through an intermediate medium. It can be the internal connection of two components. For ordinary technicians in this field, the specific meanings of the above terms in the present invention can be understood according to specific circumstances.

[0064] The thickness of the cushion layer, grid pattern, etc. shown in the accompanying drawings are not the main technical features of this application and should not be regarded as limitations of this application.

[0065] In the following embodiments, the elastic pad includes a spring layer and a cushion layer laid on the spring layer. In other possible implementations, other functional layers may be included between the cushion layer and the spring layer, such as an additional filling layer or a balancing mesh layer for limiting the position of the spring units of the spring layer. Alternatively, the elastic pad may include multiple cushion layers of the same or different hardness, as long as at least the top cushion layer can be detachably connected to the connection base of the spring layer via an insert or hanger.

[0066] In the following embodiments, the spring layer includes at least a plurality of pre-compressed springs arranged in an array, and the pre-compressed springs include a top cover, a base, and a flexible cloth or a plurality of straps connected between the top cover and the base. The springs are accommodated in a space surrounded by the top cover, the base, and the flexible cloth or straps, and the distance between the top cover and the base is less than or equal to the height of the springs.

[0067] Furthermore, in some embodiments, the spring layer further comprises a base plate. When the spring layer comprises a base plate, the base plate abuts against the pre-compressed spring, and the connecting seat can be disposed on the base plate or the pre-compressed spring. Furthermore, when the connecting seat is disposed on the pre-compressed spring, the connecting seat can also be provided with a connecting structure. In this case, in addition to connecting with the plug-in or hanging component to secure the spring layer to the cushion layer, the two connecting seats can also be interconnected via the connecting structure.

[0068] Example 1

[0069] Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the elastic pad in this embodiment, comprising a spring layer 2 and a flexible pad layer 1 laid on top of the spring layer 2. The spring layer 2 comprises a plurality of pre-compressed springs 21 arranged in an array and a plurality of connecting seats 22. The connecting seats 22 are mounted on the waists of the pre-compressed springs 21, connecting adjacent springs. The connecting seats 22 are provided with a plug-in sub-assembly 3.

[0070] Figures 2 and 3 illustrate the specific structure of the flexible cushioning layer. Multiple inserts 11 are arranged around the circumference of the flexible cushioning layer 1. Inserts 11 are connected to the flexible cushioning layer 1 via tie bars 14. Tie bars 14 are made of cloth or other flexible material and are preferably elastic. When the cushioning layer 1 is placed horizontally, tie bars 14 droop downward. The inserts are engaged with the connector 3 to achieve a connection between the pre-compressed springs 21.

[0071] Specifically, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, the plug-in component 3 is arranged on the connecting seat 22 and protrudes outward. A first protrusion 31 serving as a locking structure is provided above the plug-in component 3. The plug-in 11 is a socket facing the interior of the cushion layer 1. The upper wall of the socket is provided with a first limiting groove 1112 for the first protrusion 31 to be inserted into. The plug-in component 3 is inserted into the socket, and the first protrusion 31 is inserted into the first limiting groove 1112 and cooperates with the first limiting groove 1112 to achieve the fixation of the cushion layer 1 and the spring layer 2.

[0072] The connection seat 22 is also provided with a socket 111 . Specifically, the plug-in components 3 and the socket 111 are alternately arranged on the connection seat 22 , and two adjacent pre-compression springs 21 are connected through the limiting cooperation between the plug-in components 3 and the socket 111 .

[0073] Example 2

[0074] As shown in Figures 6-10, the elastic pad of this embodiment includes a spring layer 2 and a flexible pad layer 1 laid on top of the spring layer 2. The spring layer 2 includes a plurality of pre-compressed springs 21 arranged in an array and a plurality of connecting seats 22. The connecting seats 22 are mounted on the waist of the pre-compressed springs 21 and are provided with plug-in components 3.

[0075] In this embodiment, the connection seat 22 has a T-shaped protrusion 41 , and the flexible cushion layer 1 includes an insert 11 . The insert 11 is connected to the flexible cushion layer 1 via a pull bar 14 , and the insert 11 is a T-shaped clip.

[0076] The connection base 22 of the pre-compression spring 21 is formed with four equally spaced plug-in sub-components 3. These plug-in sub-components 3 are T-shaped clips that protrude outward from the connection base 22. The plug-in sub-components 3 on two adjacent pre-compression springs 21 are connected to an insert 11 on the flexible cushioning layer 1 via a third component. This third component is a Y-shaped connector 42 with three interfaces, which respectively connect to the plug-in sub-components 3 on the two connection bases and the insert 11.

[0077] Four pre-compression springs 21 are arranged in an array, and four interfaces of an X-shaped connector (not shown in the figure) are respectively plugged into a plug-in 3 on each of the four pre-compression springs 21 to achieve connection between the pre-compression springs.

[0078] Example 3

[0079] As shown in Figures 11 to 14, the elastic pad of this embodiment includes a spring layer 2 and a flexible pad layer 1 laid on the spring layer 2. The spring layer 2 includes a plurality of pre-compressed springs 21 arranged in an array and a plurality of connecting seats 22, which are sleeved on the waist of the pre-compressed springs 21.

[0080] The flexible cushion layer 1 extends downward along its perimeter to form a shaped, wide-at-top, narrow-at-bottom edge 13. This edge 13 is parallel to the direction of the elastic force of the pre-compressed spring 21 and covers the upper end of the side of the spring layer 2. The plug-in 11 is connected to the lower end of the edge 13. The plug-in 11 is a downward-projecting snap-fit. The connecting seat 22 is provided with an upward-opening insertion slot 5, into which the plug-in 11 can enter and plug into.

[0081] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 14, the front end of the plug-in 11 has two clamping arms 112, and the two sides of the plug-in 11 are release parts 113. The two release parts 113 are squeezed to drive the clamping arms 112 to undergo elastic deformation in opposite directions, so that the two clamping arms 112 approach each other, allowing the clamping arms 112 to enter or leave the plug-in slot 5.

[0082] Example 4

[0083] In the fourth embodiment, as shown in Figures 15 to 19 , the elastic pad includes a spring layer 2 and a flexible pad layer 1 laid on top of the spring layer 2. The spring layer 2 includes a pre-compressed spring 21, a connecting seat 22, and a base plate 23. The base plate 23 is provided with an upwardly protruding positioning post 231. The pre-compressed spring 21 is sleeved on the positioning post 231, so that the base plate 23 abuts against and limits the pre-compressed spring 21.

[0084] Specifically, as shown in Figure 17, the plug-in 11 is connected to the flexible cushion layer 1 via a drawstring 14. The plug-in 11 has a bottom edge 61, a first side edge 62, and a second side edge 63. The bottom edge 61, the first side edge 62, and the second side edge 63 generally form a triangle. A first insertion portion 64 protrudes outward from the middle of the second side edge 63 away from the first side edge 62 to form a triangular shape. The middle of the second side edge 63 near the first side edge 62 is concave to form a first receiving portion 65 that cooperates with the first insertion portion 64. Furthermore, a second protrusion 641 is provided on the side of the first insertion portion 64 away from the first side edge 62 as a locking structure. The first receiving portion 65 is provided with a second limiting hole 651 at a corresponding position on the first side edge 62 to engage with the second protrusion 641.

[0085] Referring to Figures 18 and 19 , the connector base 22 has a connecting structure on each of its four sides, front, back, left, and right. This connecting structure is identical to that of the plug-in 11. The first insertion portion 64 and first receiving portion 65 of the plug-in 11 can respectively engage with the first receiving portion 65 and first insertion portion 64 of a connecting structure on the connector base 22 to secure the flexible cushion layer and the spring layer. The first insertion portion 64 and first receiving portion 65 are then limited in position by the engagement of the second protrusion 641 and the second limiting hole 651.

[0086] Example 5

[0087] In this embodiment, the elastic pad includes a spring layer 2 and a flexible pad layer 1 laid on top of the spring layer 2. As shown in Figures 20-22, the flexible pad layer 1 is provided with a peripheral edge 13 around its outer periphery. A plurality of tie bars 14 are provided at the lower end of the peripheral edge 13. The peripheral edge 13 is connected to a hanger 12 via the tie bars 14. The hanger 12 is a downward-facing hook.

[0088] The structure of the spring layer 2 is shown in Figures 23 and 24. The spring layer 2 includes a base plate 23 and a pre-compressed spring 21 mounted on the base plate 23. A connecting seat 22 is formed at the bottom of the pre-compressed spring 21 on the outer edge of the spring layer 2. The connecting seat 22 is a hanging lug with a hanging hole 7. The hanging member 12 is connected to the hanging hole 7 to secure the flexible cushion layer 1 and the spring layer 2.

[0089] Example 6

[0090] The structure of the flexible cushion layer 1 of the sixth embodiment is the same as that of the fifth embodiment, as shown in Figures 20 to 22. The difference between the sixth embodiment and the fifth embodiment is that the structure of the spring layer 2 is different, as shown in Figures 25 and 26. In this embodiment, the bottom plate 23 is formed by winding a hard metal wire, and the metal wire protrudes outward from the outer edge of the bottom plate 23 to form a hanging hole 7. The connecting seat 22 of this embodiment is the above-mentioned hanging hole 7. The flexible cushion layer 1 has a hanging part 12, which is a downward hook. The hanging part 12 is hung with the hanging hole 7 to achieve the connection and fixation of the flexible cushion layer 1 and the spring layer 2.

[0091] Example 7

[0092] As shown in Figures 27 and 28, the elastic pad includes a spring layer 2 and a flexible pad layer 1 laid on top of the spring layer 2. The outer ring of the flexible pad layer 1 is connected to a plurality of hangers 12 via a tie rod 14. The hangers 12 are hanging rings. As shown in Figure 31, the hangers 12 are provided with a hanging ring positioning hole 1221 and a connecting seat hanging hole 1222. As shown in Figures 29 and 30, the end of the tie rod 14 away from the body of the flexible pad layer 1 passes through the hanging ring positioning hole 1221 to connect the tie rod 14 to the hanger 12; the connecting seat 22 of the spring layer 2 is hung with the connecting seat hanging hole 1222 to fix the flexible pad layer 1 and the spring layer 2.

[0093] The spring layer 2 includes a pre-compression spring 21 and a connecting seat 22. The connecting seat 22 includes a waist ring 81 that is mounted on the pre-compression spring 21 and a waist ring plug 82 that is detachably mounted on the waist ring 81. The waist ring 81 is provided with four interconnecting connecting structures on the front, back, left, and right sides. Two waist rings 81 can be connected to each other through the connecting structures. The waist ring plug 82 is also provided with the connecting structure to enable the waist ring plug 82 to connect to the waist ring 81.

[0094] The connection structure is now described in detail. As shown in Figures 32 to 34, the connection structure of this embodiment comprises an elliptical annular outer wall 91, the interior of which forms a cavity. A second insertion portion 92, roughly a right-angled trapezoid, protrudes outward from the bottom of the cavity. The remaining portion of the cavity forms a second receiving portion 93, which is adapted to engage with the second insertion portion 92 of the other connection structure. Furthermore, a latching tongue 921, elastically deformable in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction, and a release member 922, coupled to the latching tongue 921 to control its elastic deformation, are provided on the side of the second insertion portion 92, distal from the second receiving portion 93. A corresponding position on the inner wall of the second receiving portion 93 is provided, into which the latching tongue 921 engages. When the two connection structures approach each other, the latching tongue 921 within the second insertion portion 92 elastically deforms toward the center of the cavity, allowing the second insertion portion 92 to enter the second receiving portion 93. The latching tongue 921 then engages the receiving portion 931, which then secures the connection. When it is necessary to contact the connection between the two connecting structures, press the release member 922, and the tongue 921 will elastically deform toward the middle of the cavity under the control of the release member 922 and leave the snap-fit groove 931, releasing the locking fit between the tongue 921 and the snap-fit groove 931.

[0095] Referring to FIG30 , the hanger 12 is attached to the waist ring plug 82. To prevent the hanger 12 from sliding off the waist ring plug 82, limiting protrusions 821 are provided at relative positions on the upper and lower bottom surfaces of the waist ring plug 82. The height of the waist ring plug 82 at the second limiting protrusion 821 is greater than the height of the connecting seat hanging hole 1222. Furthermore, to reduce the slippage of the hanger 12 on the connecting seat 22, this embodiment further provides a limiting protrusion 821 on the lower bottom surface of the waist ring plug 82 near the waist ring 81. The height of the waist ring plug 82 at this point is equal to the height of the connecting seat hanging hole 1222. By adjusting the length of the pull strip 14, when the hanger 12 is attached to the connecting seat 22, the distance between the connecting seat hanging hole 1222 and the lower bottom surface of the waist ring plug 82 is less than the height of the limiting protrusion 821. In this embodiment, the pull strip 14 is a plastic sheet. In other possible embodiments, the pull strip 14 can be made of leather or cloth. In other possible embodiments, the pull strip 14 can be an elastic band that shrinks upward to make the hanger 12 abut against the waist ring plug 82.

[0096] In this embodiment, since the above-mentioned three limiting protrusions 821 are provided on the waist ring plug 82, during installation, it is necessary to first put the hanger 12 on the waist ring plug 82 through the connecting seat hanging hole 1222, and then clamp the waist ring plug 82 with the waist ring 81.

[0097] The above description is merely a preferred embodiment of the present invention and therefore cannot be used to limit the scope of the present invention. In other words, equivalent changes and modifications made within the scope of the present invention and the contents of the specification should still fall within the scope of the present invention. Industrial Applicability

[0098] The present invention discloses an elastic pad with an open spring layer and its application. The elastic pad includes a spring layer and a cushion layer. The spring layer includes a plurality of pre-compressed springs arranged in an array. The outer periphery of the spring layer is provided with a plurality of connecting seats. The cushion layer is laid on top of the spring layer. A plurality of plug-ins or hangers extend from the four sides of the cushion layer. The plug-ins or hangers are plugged into or hung on the connecting seats to fix the spring layer to the cushion layer. At least part of the side surface of the spring layer is not covered by the plug-ins or hangers. The cushion layer is directly fixed to the spring layer by plugging or hanging on the connecting seats of the spring layer, resulting in a simple structure and easy assembly and disassembly. Because the cushion layer does not seal the sides of the spring layer but directly exposes the pre-compressed springs, compared with the closed cushion layer and spring layer in traditional elastic pads, the cushion layer has better air permeability and industrial applicability.
