High throughput biochemical assays for rare earth elements (REES) binding selectivity

Abstract

A method of high-throughput selectivity characterization of proteins includes introducing a metal-containing solution to a conjugated mixture of tagged proteins. The conjugated mixture includes one or more tagged proteins immobilized on a bead to form a protein-conjugated bead. Each tagged protein can include a tag. The metal-containing solution includes a mixture of different metals. The method includes analyzing selectivity of the protein toward each of the different metals in the metal-containing solution. The method is performed on a microplate or a deep-well block.
