Abstract

The invention relates to a component (1) for watches, jewelry, or writing instruments, comprising a titanium substrate, said component being treated using a plasma micro-arc oxidation process to obtain a ceramic coating (2) on the surface of the substrate (7). The invention also relates to a process for producing the component by ceramization, enabling the growth of a ceramic coating on the surface of the component.
