Abstract

The invention relates to a linear motor (1), wherein a stator (3) comprises several coils (12, 13, 14) and a coil carrier (16), and a rotor (4) comprises several permanent magnets (10), or vice versa. The coil carrier (16) holds the coils (12, 13, 14) within a first longitudinal section (19) of the coil carrier, wherein the coil carrier (16) is formed, at least partially, in a second longitudinal section (40) from a magnetic component (29) whose magnetic permeability is at least 10 times greater than the magnetic permeability of the coil carrier (16) in the first longitudinal section (19), wherein the magnetic component (29) overlaps only partially with a longitudinal section of the rotor (4) or the stator (3) supporting the permanent magnets (10), at least for some of the possible positions of the rotor (4), resulting in a reluctance force (30). Furthermore, the invention relates to a device with such a linear motor.
