Abstract

The invention relates to a sheathing unit (1) comprising a first sheathing mechanism (11) configured to hold a vertical placement retaining section (111) that holds an electrical cable bundle (W1) connected with connectors in a vertical placement position to allow it to move in a circulation. It performs a first sheathing operation to apply a first sheathing material (W13) to the electrical cable bundle (W1) connected with connectors during movement in the vertical placement position. It comprises a second sheathing mechanism (12) configured to hold a horizontal placement retaining section (121) that holds an electrical cable bundle (W1a) located within the sheathing, on which the first sheathing operation has been performed, in a horizontal placement position.The second sheathing mechanism (12) can perform a second sheathing operation in which a second sheathing material (W14) is applied to the electrical cable bundle (W1a) contained in the sheathing during movement in the horizontal placement position.
