Windshield with wind tracking for vertical wind turbines

Abstract

The windshield (1) with wind tracking (3) for vertical wind turbines comprises a windshield (2) which is rotatably mounted on a vertical wind turbine via the windshield bracket (5) with a windshield pivot bearing (8) and is aligned around the vertical wind turbine with a wind tracking system (3) such that the windshield (2) protects the rotor blades (18) rotating against the wind direction from the direct wind flow from the wind direction (7) and deflects a portion of the wind direction (7) in such a way that the deflected wind flow (15) is advantageously directed towards the rotor blades (11) in the direction of rotation of the rotor (12), thereby increasing the energy conversion of the rotor blades (11) and is applicable as a component or as a wind turbine with storm protection in existing or new vertical wind turbines.
