Device for electro-erosive dressing of grinding wheels and grinding machine

Abstract

A device (70) is used for the electro-erosive dressing of grinding wheels (44). The device (70) comprises a grinding spindle (40) with a grinding wheel holder (50) rotatable about a spindle axis (54) for receiving an electro-erosive dressing grinding wheel (44), a dressing wire (78) guided as a wire electrode along a wire guide (76), and a current supply (80) for introducing high-frequency voltage pulses into the dressing wire (78) and the grinding wheel (44). The current supply (80) includes a current path (86) into the grinding spindle (40) for electrically contacting the grinding wheel (44). The current path (86) includes a contact finger oriented coaxially with the grinding spindle (40) which contacts an end face of the grinding spindle (40) in a central contact area intersected by the spindle axis (54).A grinding machine uses such a device (70) for the electro-erosive dressing of grinding wheels (44).
