Abstract
This application provides a pH adjuster comprising a reaction product obtained from the partial reaction of at least one polyamine with at least one lactone or lactide, comprising a monosubstituted product having at least one primary, secondary, or tertiary amino group and a hydroxy group; and further comprising a disubstituted product and an unreacted polyamine. The pH adjuster comprising a reaction product is useful in a wide variety of compositions and applications.
