Transdermal device and system for delivering hydrogen for the treatment of chronic non-communicable diseases

Abstract

A device and system for the transdermal treatment of chronic non-communicable diseases, especially those affected by fibrosis, either primarily or chronically in organs or secondarily in tissues damaged by radiotherapy or surgery. In some modalities, the system may include the following steps: placing a hydrogen source device applicator on a portion of a patient's epidermis, configured to deliver hydrogen gas transdermally directly into the epidermis; subjecting a patient to transdermal treatment by passing hydrogen gas through the applicator over a specified period; and repeating the transdermal treatment several times over a period established in a treatment protocol.
