Abstract

A reel or locking member for releasably securing a wear member to a base of earthmoving equipment. The wear member and the base cooperatively define a locking opening configured to receive the reel. The reel further comprises an elongated body extending along a body axis, where the body includes a head at one end, a leg extending from the head, a front side, a rear side, and a pair of arms disposed at the end with the head.
