Abstract

The present invention discloses a leakage detection protection device and a leakage detection protection method thereof, wherein the leakage detection protection device comprises a current sampling module, a leakage detection module, a leakage metering module, a leakage tripping drive module and a display module; the current sampling module samples the difference current signal between the live wire and the neutral wire, and converts it into a voltage signal and outputs it to the leakage detection module and the leakage metering module; the leakage detection module outputs a first control signal to the leakage tripping drive module when comparing that the voltage signal is greater than a threshold voltage; the leakage metering module is used to convert the voltage signal into a digital signal and output it to the display module, control the display module to display corresponding current information, and output a second control signal to the leakage tripping drive module when comparing that the digital signal is greater than a preset voltage value; the leakage tripping drive module controls the tripping coil to trip according to the first control signal or the second control signal, thereby realizing accurate measurement of the leakage current and improving the reliability of leakage protection.
