Abstract

Memory devices and memory systems including memory devices are disclosed. The memory device according to some aspects of the inventive concept includes: a memory cell array including a plurality of memory banks; at least one processing element (PE) connected to at least one memory bank selected from the plurality of memory banks; and control logic configured to control the activation operation of word lines included in each of the plurality of memory banks being activated, and configured to control the refresh operation of at least one memory bank being refreshed based on a PE enable signal, the PE enable signal being configured to selectively enable the at least one PE.
