Printer with variable ribbon path

Abstract

The present invention provides a printer with a variable ribbon path, comprising a frame, a print head assembly and a ribbon cartridge, the ribbon cartridge comprising a shell and a ribbon supply end and a recycling end installed in the shell, a flattening rod for supporting the ribbon is arranged on the path from the supply end to the recycling end on the shell, a flattening component for supporting the ribbon is arranged on the printer body, before the ribbon cartridge is connected to the frame, the ribbon is supported by the flattening rod in the ribbon cartridge; when the ribbon cartridge is installed on the frame, the ribbon is supported by at least two flattening components, and the ribbon is separated from the flattening rod; or when the ribbon cartridge is installed on the frame, part of the flattening rod is changed from being constrained by the shell to being constrained by the frame, and the ribbon is supported by the flattening rod constrained by the frame and the flattening component. In the present invention, the ribbon path is changed from being constrained by the ribbon cartridge to being constrained by the printer body, thereby breaking away from the constraint of the flattening rod on the shell, improving the accuracy, and improving the printing quality.
