Microfluidic sample preparation device providing high reproducibility

Abstract

Disclosed is a device for preparing a solution from a sample and a reagent, comprising a microfluidic array, the microfluidic array comprising a sample supply inlet (E1), a reagent supply inlet (E2), a discharge outlet (S1), a solution collection outlet (S2), a sampling zone (ZE) connected to the inlets (E1, E2), a first preparation chamber (4) and a second preparation chamber (6), the first preparation chamber and the second preparation chamber being connected to the sampling zone (ZE) and arranged on both sides of the sampling zone (ZE), so that a liquid flowing from one preparation chamber to the other preparation chamber flows through the first sampling zone (ZE), and the first preparation chamber (4) has a volume that is variable between a minimum volume and a calibration volume. The device comprises valves for interrupting the flow of fluid at least at two of the inlets (E1, E2) and the solution collection outlet (S2) and the discharge outlet (S1).
