Abstract

An electronic device configured to operate in a plurality of power modes includes a power reception circuit that receives wireless power from a power transmission device, and a processor configured to control an operation of the electronic device, wherein the plurality of power modes include a charging mode in which wireless power is continuously provided, a power hold mode in which a state of providing wireless power and a state of cutting off wireless power are periodically repeated with a pulse period, and a power cut-off mode in which wireless power is cut off, wherein the power reception circuit generates a pulse marker signal that alternates between a high level and a low level with the pulse period in the power hold mode, and changes a power mode based on a count value obtained by counting a specific level part of the pulse marker signal.
