Abstract

A display device and a method of manufacturing the display device are provided. The display device includes a base layer, pixels disposed on the base layer and including thin-film transistors, and signal lines connected to the pixels. The signal lines include a metal layer and a capping layer comprising molybdenum and tantalum disposed on the metal layer. The metal layer has a first light reflectivity, and the capping layer has a second light reflectivity lower than the first light reflectivity of the metal layer. The capping layer includes a tip protruding from the sidewall of the metal layer, and when viewed in a plan view, the tip protrudes further than the contact point where the sidewall of the metal layer contacts the base layer. The display device has improved external light reflection characteristics and improved display quality.
