A method and apparatus for islanding distribution networks

Abstract

This application provides a method and apparatus for islanding distribution networks. It selects connected power sources and loads from non-faulty areas as elements of islanded regions; determines multiple preliminary islanding strategies; and selects the strategy with the minimum number of users affected by a power outage from among these preliminary strategies. This method can find the stable and accurate optimal islanding strategy among multiple preliminary strategies. The process is clear, computationally fast, and exhibits high efficiency and accuracy. Furthermore, the relationship matrix between power sources and loads effectively reflects the topology of the distribution network, including the upstream area of ​​the fault and the islanded areas, making it universally applicable for characterizing the topological partitioning of faulty distribution networks.
