It will be understood that, in addition to the orientations depicted in the drawings, the spatial relative terms are intended to cover different orientations of the device in use or operation. For example, if the device in the drawings is flipped, an element described as “below” or “under” other elements or features will be oriented “above” or “above” other elements or features. Thus, the term “below” can encompass both “above” and “below” orientations. The device may be oriented in other ways (rotated 90 degrees or in other orientations), and the spatial relative terms used herein should be interpreted accordingly.

[0055] As used herein, the terms “substantially,” “approximately,” and similar terms are used as approximate terms and not as terms of degree, and are intended to describe the inherent biases of measurements or calculations that would be recognized by one of ordinary skill in the art.

[0056] As used herein, expressions such as “at least one of…”, “one of…”, and “selected from…” modify the entire list of elements but not the individual elements in the list, when placed before or after the list of elements.

[0057] Furthermore, when describing embodiments of this disclosure, the word "may" is used to mean "one or more embodiments of this disclosure".

[0058] Unless otherwise defined, all terms used herein (including technical and scientific terms) have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this disclosure pertains. Furthermore, unless explicitly defined herein, terms (such as those defined in common dictionaries) are to be interpreted as having the meaning consistent with their meaning in the context of the relevant field and are not to be interpreted in an idealized or overly formal sense.

[0059] The meaning of "contains" or "includes" specifies an attribute, a fixed number, a step, an operation, a component, or a combination thereof, but does not exclude other attributes, fixed numbers, steps, operations, components, or combinations thereof.

[0061] Figure 1 This is a perspective view of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0062] refer to Figure 1 The electronic device 1000 can be a device activated by an electrical signal. For example, the electronic device 1000 can be a mobile phone, tablet PC, car navigation system, game console, or wearable device, but is not limited to these. Figure 1 An example of providing electronic device 1000 as a mobile phone is shown.

[0063] Electronic device 1000 can display images through active region 1000A. Active region 1000A may include a surface defined by a first direction DR1 and a second direction DR2. The thickness direction of electronic device 1000 may be parallel to a third direction DR3 intersecting the first direction DR1 and the second direction DR2. Therefore, the front surface (or top surface) and rear surface (or bottom surface) of each of the components constituting electronic device 1000 may be defined based on the third direction DR3. For example, the front surface (or top surface) and rear surface (or bottom surface) of each of the components constituting electronic device 1000 may be opposite to each other on the third direction DR3.

[0064] The electronic device 1000 can sense input applied from outside the electronic device 1000. The external input can be user input. User input can include various types of external input, such as parts of the user's body, an active pen 2000, light, heat, or pressure.

[0065] Figure 1 The electronic device 1000 shown can sense input via a user's touch and input via an active pen 2000. The electronic device 1000 and the active pen 2000 can perform bidirectional communication. The electronic device 1000 can transmit uplink signals (e.g., ...) Figure 2 The uplink signal (ULS) is provided to the active pen 2000. For example, the uplink signal may include, but is not particularly limited to, the synchronization signal or information of the electronic device 1000. The active pen 2000 may also provide the downlink signal (e.g., ...) to the active pen 2000. Figure 2 The downlink signal (DLS) is provided to the electronic device 1000. For example, display layer 100 can be an organic light-emitting display layer, a quantum dot display layer, a micron-LED display layer, or a nano-LED display layer.

[0069] Sensor layer 200 can be disposed on display layer 100. Sensor layer 200 can sense external input applied from the outside. Sensor layer 200 can sense both input through the user's body 3000 and input through active pen 2000.

For example, the substrate layer 110 may be an inorganic layer, an organic layer, or a composite layer.

[0077] The substrate layer 110 may have a multilayer structure. For example, the substrate layer 110 includes a first synthetic resin layer and silicon dioxide (SiO2) disposed on the first synthetic resin layer. xThe system comprises a first synthetic resin layer, an amorphous silicon (a-Si) layer disposed on a silicon oxide layer, and a second synthetic resin layer disposed on the amorphous silicon layer. For example, the silicon oxide layer and silicon nitride layer may be stacked alternately on a third-direction DR3.

[0081] Semiconductor patterns can be disposed on the buffer layer BFL. The semiconductor pattern may include polycrystalline silicon. However, embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto. For example, the semiconductor pattern may include amorphous silicon or metal oxide.

[0082] Figure 3This shows a portion of a semiconductor pattern. For example, the semiconductor pattern can also be disposed in other regions. The semiconductor pattern can be arranged above the pixels according to specific rules. Depending on whether the semiconductor pattern is doped, it has different electrical properties. The semiconductor pattern may include a first region with high conductivity and a second region with low conductivity. The first region may be doped with N-type or P-type dopant. A P-type transistor may include a doped region doped with P-type dopant, and an N-type transistor may include a doped region doped with N-type dopant. The second region may be undoped, or it may be doped at a lower concentration than the first region.

[0083] The first region can have a higher conductivity than the second region and can be used, or essentially used, as an electrode or signal line. The second region can correspond to, or essentially correspond to, the active region (or channel) of a transistor. That is, part of the semiconductor pattern can be the active region of a transistor, another part can be the source or drain of a transistor, and yet another part can be a connecting electrode or a connecting signal line.

[0084] Each pixel can have an equivalent circuit comprising seven transistors, a capacitor, and a light-emitting element, and the equivalent circuit diagram of a pixel can be modified in various suitable forms as will be appreciated by one of ordinary skill in the art. Figure 3 The example shows a transistor 100PC and a light-emitting device (or light-emitting element) 100PE included in a pixel.

[0085] The source SC1, active region A1, and drain D1 of transistor 100PC can be provided from a semiconductor pattern. The source SC1 and drain D1 can extend in opposite directions from the active region A1 in cross-section. Figure 3 A portion of the connection signal line SCL, formed by a semiconductor pattern, is shown. [0086] The first insulating layer 10 may be disposed on a buffer layer BFL on which the active electrode SC1, active region A1, drain electrode D1, and connecting signal line SCL are disposed. The first insulating layer 10 typically overlaps with multiple pixels to cover the semiconductor pattern. The first insulating layer 10 may include an inorganic layer and / or an organic layer, and may have a single-layer or multi-layer structure. The first insulating layer 10 may include at least one of aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, silicon oxide, silicon oxynitride, zirconium oxide, and hafnium oxide. In this embodiment, the first insulating layer 10 may include a single-layer silicon oxide layer. The insulating layer of the circuit layer 120 and the first insulating layer 10, which may be described in more detail below, may be an inorganic layer and / or an organic layer, and may have a single-layer or multi-layer structure. The inorganic layer may include at least one of the materials described above, but is not limited thereto.

[0087] Gates G1 are disposed on the first insulating layer 10. Each of the gates G1 may be a portion of a metal pattern. Gates G1 overlap with the active region A1. In a process of doping semiconductor patterns, gates G1 may be used as a mask.

[0088] The second insulating layer 20 can be disposed on the first insulating layer 10 on which the gate G1 is disposed to cover the gate G1. The second insulating layer 20 can overlap with the pixel. The second insulating layer 20 can be an inorganic layer and / or an organic layer, and can have a single-layer or multi-layer structure. In this embodiment, the second insulating layer 20 may include a single-layer silicon oxide layer.

[0089] The third insulating layer 30 may be disposed on the second insulating layer 20. In this embodiment, the third insulating layer 30 may be a single layer of silicon oxide.

[0090] The first connecting electrode CNE1 can be disposed on the third insulating layer 30. The first connecting electrode CNE1 can be connected to the signal line SCL through the contact hole CNT-1, which passes through the first insulating layer, the second insulating layer and the third insulating layer (i.e., the first insulating layer 10, the second insulating layer 20 and the third insulating layer 30).

[0091] The fourth insulating layer 40 can be disposed on the third insulating layer 30 on which the first connecting electrode CNE1 is disposed. The fourth insulating layer 40 can be a single layer of silicon oxide. The fifth insulating layer 50 can be disposed on the fourth insulating layer 40. The fifth insulating layer 50 can be an organic layer.

[0092] The second connecting electrode CNE2 can be disposed on the fifth insulating layer 50. The second connecting electrode CNE2 can be connected to the first connecting electrode CNE1 through the contact hole CNT-2, which passes through the fourth insulating layer 40 and the fifth insulating layer 50.

[0093] A sixth insulating layer 60 may be disposed on the fifth insulating layer 50, on which the second connecting electrode CNE2 is disposed, to cover the second connecting electrode CNE2. The sixth insulating layer 60 may be an organic layer. A light-emitting element layer 130 may be disposed on the circuit layer 120. The light-emitting element layer 130 may include a light-emitting element 100PE. For example, the light-emitting element layer 130 may include organic light-emitting materials, quantum dots, quantum rods, micron LEDs, or nano LEDs. The light-emitting element 100PE may include a first electrode AE, an emitting layer EL, and a second electrode CE.

[0094] The first electrode AE can be disposed on the sixth insulating layer 60. The first electrode AE can be connected to the second connecting electrode CNE2 through the contact hole CNT-3, which passes through the sixth insulating layer 60.

[0095] A pixel defining layer 70 may be disposed on a sixth insulating layer 60 on which a first electrode AE is disposed to cover a portion of the first electrode AE. An opening 70-OP may be defined in the pixel defining layer 70. The opening 70-OP of the pixel defining layer 70 may expose at least a portion of the first electrode AE. In this embodiment, the emitting region PXA may be defined as a portion corresponding to the area of the first electrode AE exposed by the opening 70-OP. A non-emitting region NPXA may surround the emitting region PXA.

[0096] An emitting layer EL can be disposed on the first electrode AE. The emitting layer EL can be disposed within the opening 70-OP. That is, individual emitting layers EL spaced apart from each other, and each of the emitting layers EL can be disposed on a corresponding one within a pixel. When an emitting layer EL is disposed individually for each pixel, each of the emitting layers EL can emit light having at least one of blue, red, and green. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto. For example, a single emitting layer EL can be provided collectively to connect to the pixel. In this case, the emitting layer EL can provide blue light or white light. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto.

[0097] The second electrode CE can be disposed on the emitter layer EL. The second electrode CE can have an integral shape and can be disposed (e.g., jointly disposed) on multiple pixels. A common voltage can be provided to the second electrode CE, and the second electrode CE can be referred to as the common electrode.

[0098] In one or more embodiments, a hole control layer may be disposed between the first electrode AE and the emitter layer EL. The hole control layer may be disposed (e.g., co-located) in the emitter region PXA and the non-emitter region NPXA. The hole control layer may include a hole transport layer and may also include a hole injection layer. An electron control layer may be disposed between the emitter layer EL and the second electrode CE. The electron control layer may include an electron transport layer and may also include an electron injection layer. The hole control layer and the electron control layer can be formed (e.g., co-formed) in multiple pixels using an open mask.

[0099] The encapsulation layer 140 may be disposed on the light-emitting element layer 130. The encapsulation layer 140 may include an inorganic layer, an organic layer and an inorganic layer stacked in sequence, but the layers constituting the encapsulation layer 140 are not limited to these.

[0100] The inorganic layer protects the light-emitting element layer 130 from moisture and oxygen, while the organic layer protects the light-emitting element layer 130 from foreign substances such as dust particles (e.g., unwanted substances from the external environment). The inorganic layer may include a silicon nitride layer, a silicon oxynitride layer, a silicon oxide layer, a titanium oxide layer, or an aluminum oxide layer. The organic layer may include an acrylic-based organic layer, but embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto.

[0101] The sensor layer 200 can be disposed on the display layer 100 through a continuous or substantially continuous process. In this case, the sensor layer 200 can be directly disposed on the display layer 100. Direct disposal can refer to the case where no third component is disposed between the sensor layer 200 and the display layer 100. That is, a separate adhesive component may not be disposed between the sensor layer 200 and the display layer 100. In this case, the thickness of the electronic device 1000 can be thinner.

[0102] The sensor layer 200 may include a substrate insulating layer 201, a first conductive layer 202, a sensing insulating layer 203, a second conductive layer 204, and a covering insulating layer 205.

[0103] The substrate insulating layer 201 can be an inorganic layer, including any one of silicon nitride, silicon oxynitride, and silicon oxide. Alternatively, the substrate insulating layer 201 can be an organic layer, including epoxy resin, acrylic resin, or imide resin. The substrate insulating layer 201 can have a single-layer structure or a multilayer structure, in which multiple layers are stacked on a third-direction DR3.

[0104] Each of the first conductive layer 202 and the second conductive layer 204 may have a single-layer structure or a multi-layer structure, in which multiple layers are stacked on a third-direction DR3.

[0105] The conductive layer with a single-layer structure may include a metal layer or a transparent conductive layer. The metal layer may include molybdenum, silver, titanium, copper, aluminum, or alloys thereof. The transparent conductive layer may include transparent conductive oxides, such as indium tin oxide (ITO), indium zinc oxide (IZO), zinc oxide (ZnO), and indium zinc tin oxide (IZTO). Additionally, the transparent conductive layer may include conductive polymers, such as poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene): PEDOT, metal nanowires, and graphene.

[0106] A conductive layer with a multilayer structure may include a metal layer. The metal layer may have a titanium / aluminum / titanium three-layer structure. A conductive layer with a multilayer structure may include at least one metal layer and at least one transparent conductive layer.

[0107] At least one of the sensing insulating layer 203 and the covering insulating layer 205 may include an inorganic layer. The inorganic layer may include at least one of alumina, titanium oxide, silicon oxide, silicon oxynitride, zirconium oxide, and hafnium oxide.

[0108] Parasitic capacitance Cb can be generated between sensor layer 200 and the second electrode CE. As the distance between sensor layer 200 and the second electrode CE decreases, the value of parasitic capacitance Cb can increase. As parasitic capacitance Cb increases, the ratio of the change in capacitance to a reference value can decrease. The change in capacitance can be indicated by, for example, an active pen 2000 (see...). Figure 2 ) or the user's body 3000 (for example, see Figure 2 The capacitance change that occurs before and after the input unit is input.

[0109] The driver chip that processes the signal sensed by sensor layer 200 can perform a leveling operation to remove the value corresponding to the parasitic capacitance Cb from the sensed signal. Through this leveling operation, the ratio of the capacitance change to a reference value can be increased, thereby improving the sensing sensitivity (e.g., the sensing sensitivity can be increased).

[0110] However, the ability to remove the value corresponding to the parasitic capacitance Cb may vary depending on the specifications of the driver chip. For example, if the maximum parasitic capacitance Cb is approximately 500 picofarads, and the capacitance value that the driver chip can remove from the signal sensed by the sensor layer 200 is approximately 200 picofarads, the reference value may not be sufficiently reduced by the driver chip. In this case, the ratio of the capacitance change to the reference value is not significant, and thus a malfunction may occur in which the driver chip does not recognize the capacitance change as noise or does not recognize the touch coordinates. In other words, the sensing sensitivity may not be at a level sufficient to reliably distinguish (e.g., a user's touch or an active pen) the applied and / or coordinates. According to the present invention, the electrode structure of the sensor layer 200 can be modified to provide the maximum value of the parasitic capacitance Cb as a set value (e.g., a predetermined value) or less than the set value (e.g., a predetermined value). In other words, the electrode structure of the sensor layer 200 can be modified such that the parasitic capacitance Cb does not exceed the set value (e.g., a predetermined value). In this case, the accuracy of coordinate recognition can be improved even when the performance of the driver chip is low. The set value (e.g., the predetermined value) can be approximately 200 picofarads, but is not specifically limited to this.

[0111] Figure 4 This is a plan view of the sensor layer according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0112] refer to Figure 4 The sensor layer 200 may include a sensing region 200A and a peripheral region 200N. The sensing region 200A may be a region activated according to an electrical signal. For example, the sensing region 200A may be a region that senses an input. The peripheral region 200N may surround the sensing region 200A.

[0113] The sensor layer 200 may include a substrate insulating layer 201, multiple electrodes 210, multiple cross electrodes 220, and multiple sensing lines 230. The multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 may be disposed in the sensing region 200A. The multiple sensing lines 230 may be disposed in the peripheral region 200N.

[0114] The sensor layer 200 can operate in either a first mode or a second mode. In the first mode, information about the external input is acquired through changes in the mutual capacitance between the plurality of electrodes 210 and the plurality of cross electrodes 220. In the second mode, information about the external input is sensed through changes in the capacitance of each of the plurality of electrodes 210 and the plurality of cross electrodes 220 by the active pen 2000 (e.g., see...). Figure 2 The impact of ).

[0115] When a user touches the device in the first mode, the driver chip that processes the signals sensed by the sensor layer 200 can sense the change in mutual capacitance between the multiple electrodes 210 and the multiple cross electrodes 220.

[0116] Each of the plurality of electrodes 210 may extend in a first direction DR1. The plurality of electrodes 210 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a second direction DR2. Each of the plurality of intersecting electrodes 220 may extend in the second direction DR2. The plurality of intersecting electrodes 220 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the first direction DR1. In one or more embodiments, the plurality of electrodes 210 and the plurality of intersecting electrodes 220 may intersect each other in a plane or in a plan view.

[0117] The sensor layer 200 includes a first region AR1, a second region AR2, and a third region AR3. Multiple electrodes 210 and multiple intersecting electrodes 220 intersect in the first region AR1 to insulate each other. The second region AR2 is adjacent to the first region AR1 in a first direction DR1, and the third region AR3 is adjacent to the first region AR1 in a second direction DR2. The multiple electrodes 210 may overlap each other in the second region AR2, and the multiple intersecting electrodes 220 may not overlap each other in the second region AR2. The multiple intersecting electrodes 220 may overlap each other in the third region AR3, and the multiple electrodes 210 may not overlap each other in the third region AR3.

[0118] Figure 5A This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 Enlarged plan view of area 200U. Figure 5B It is along the embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 5A The cross-sectional view taken by line I-I', and Figure 5C This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 5A A magnified plan view of region AA'.

[0119] refer to Figures 5A to 5C Each of the plurality of electrodes 210 may include a second portion 210P2 and a plurality of first portions 210P1.

[0120] Multiple first portions 210P1 may be spaced apart from each other in the first direction DR1. Multiple first portions 210P1 may be located in the second region AR2 (e.g., see...). Figure 4 )middle.

[0121] The second part 210P2 can be set among multiple first parts 210P1. The second part 210P2 can be set in the first area AR1 (for example, see...). Figure 4 )middle.

[0122] The second part 210P2 and the multiple first parts 210P1 can have a grid structure. The second part 210P2 and the multiple first parts 210P1 can be provided as a single unit.

[0123] The second part 210P2 may include a first patterned portion 210PP1 and a plurality of second patterned portions 210PP2. The first patterned portion 210PP1 may extend in a first direction DR1. The plurality of second patterned portions 210PP2 may extend from the first patterned portion 210PP1 in a second direction DR2.

[0124] A first opening HA1 may be defined in each of a plurality of first portions 210P1. A second opening HA2 may be defined in a first pattern portion 210PP1. The size of the first opening HA1 may be larger than the size of the second opening HA2. For example, in a plan view or on a plane, the size of the first opening HA1 may be larger than the size of the second opening HA2.

[0125] Each of the plurality of cross electrodes 220 may include a plurality of first cross portions 220P1, second cross portions 220P2, and bridging patterns 220B.

[0126] Multiple first intersection portions 220P1 may be spaced apart from each other in the second direction DR2. Multiple first intersection portions 220P1 may be located in the third zone AR3 (e.g., see...). Figure 4 In the context of the first cross portion 220P1, it can be referred to as the third portion of the multiple cross electrodes 220.

[0127] The second intersection portion 220P2 may be disposed between a plurality of first intersection portions 220P1. In one or more embodiments, the second intersection portion 220P2 may be disposed between a plurality of first intersection portions 220P1 in a second direction DR2. When viewed in a plane or in a plan view, the second intersection portion 220P2 may not overlap with the second opening HA2.

[0128] The second cross portion 220P2 and the plurality of first cross portions 220P1 may have a mesh structure.

[0129] The second intersecting portion 220P2 may include a plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1 and a plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2. The plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1 may be adjacent to one side of one of the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 and may extend in the second direction DR2. The plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2 may be adjacent to the other side of another of the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 and may extend in the second direction DR2.

[0130] Multiple first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1 and multiple second pattern portions 210PP2 may be arranged alternately in the first direction DR1. The multiple first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1 may be spaced apart from each other in the first direction DR1, and the multiple second pattern portions 210PP2 may be located between the multiple first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1.

[0131] Multiple second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2 and multiple second pattern portions 210PP2 may be arranged alternately in the first direction DR1. The multiple second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2 may be spaced apart from each other in the first direction DR1, and multiple second pattern portions 210PP2 may be between the multiple second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2.

[0132] The second part 210P2 and the second cross part 220P2 can be in the first zone AR1 (e.g., see...). Figure 4 The electrodes 210 and the cross electrodes 220 are arranged adjacent to each other, allowing the length of the boundary between the facing second portions 210P2 and the second cross portions 220P2 to be increased. Correspondingly, the mutual capacitance between the plurality of electrodes 210 and the plurality of cross electrodes 220 can be increased. As the mutual capacitance increases, the amount of change in mutual capacitance can also increase. Therefore, the sensor layer 200 (see, for example, see...) Figure 4 The sensing sensitivity can be improved.

[0133] The third opening HA3 may be defined within the second intersection portion 220P2. When viewed in a plan view or in a plan view, the second portion 210P2 may not overlap with the third opening HA3. The fourth opening HA4 may be defined within each of the plurality of first intersection portions 220P1. The fourth opening HA4 may have a larger dimension than the third opening HA3. For example, in a plan view or in a plane, the dimension of the fourth opening HA4 may be larger than the dimension of the third opening HA3.

[0134] Limited to sensor layer 200 (e.g., Figure 4 The second AR2 zone (for example, see) Figure 4The first opening HA1 in the third region AR3 (e.g., see...) Figure 4 Each of the fourth openings HA4 in the second opening HA2 and the third opening HA3 can have a larger dimension than each of the second opening HA2 and the third opening HA3. When viewed in a plane or in a plan view, the plurality of first portions 210P1 and the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 are connected to the second electrode CE (e.g., see...). Figure 3 The overlapping area can be reduced. Therefore, the parasitic capacitance Cb (for example, see...) Figure 3 The value of ) can be reduced. According to the present invention, sensor layer 200 (e.g., see...) Figure 4 The parasitic capacitance Cb can be reduced (for example, see...) Figure 3 The maximum value of the capacitance is provided as a set value (e.g., a predetermined value) or less than a set value (e.g., a predetermined value). The ratio of the change in capacitance to a reference value can be increased. Thus, sensor layer 200 (e.g., see...) Figure 4 The sensing sensitivity of the change in capacitance can be improved.

[0135] The bridging pattern 220B can be disposed on a layer different from the layer on which multiple first portions 210P1, multiple second portions 210P2, multiple first cross portions 220P1, and multiple second cross portions 220P2 are disposed. For example, the bridging pattern 220B can be on a different layer than the multiple first portions 210P1, multiple second portions 210P2, multiple first cross portions 220P1, and multiple second cross portions 220P2. The bridging pattern 220B can cross to insulate itself from the multiple first portions 210P1, multiple second portions 210P2, multiple first cross portions 220P1, and multiple second cross portions 220P2.

[0136] The bridging pattern 220B can be disposed on the substrate insulating layer 201. The sensing insulating layer 203 can be disposed on the bridging pattern 220B. The sensing insulating layer 203 can cover the bridging pattern 220B. The sensing insulating layer 203 can include inorganic materials, organic materials, or composite materials.

[0137] Multiple first cross pattern portions 220PP1, multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2, and first pattern portion 210PP1 can be disposed on the sensing insulating layer 203.

[0138] Multiple contact holes CNTs can be defined by passing through the sensing insulating layer 203 on the third-party DR3. Multiple first cross pattern portions 220PP1 and multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2 can be connected (e.g., electrically connected) to the bridging pattern 220B via the multiple contact holes CNTs.

[0139] The covering insulating layer 205 can be disposed on a plurality of first cross-pattern portions 220PP1, a plurality of second cross-pattern portions 220PP2, and a first pattern portion 210PP1. The covering insulating layer 205 can cover the plurality of first cross-pattern portions 220PP1, the plurality of second cross-pattern portions 220PP2, and the first pattern portion 210PP1. The covering insulating layer 205 can include inorganic materials, organic materials, or composite materials.

[0140] exist Figure 5B In, for example, the bridging pattern 220B may have a bottom bridging structure in which the bridging pattern 220B is disposed below a plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1, a plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2, and a first pattern portion 210PP1. However, in the sensor layer 200 of the embodiment of the present invention (for example, see...), Figure 4 The structure of the sensor layer 200 is not limited thereto. For example, according to an embodiment of the present invention (see, for example, see...), Figure 4 It may have a top bridging structure in which bridging pattern 220B is disposed on a plurality of first cross pattern portions 220PP1, a plurality of second cross pattern portions 220PP2 and a first pattern portion 210PP1.

[0141] When viewed on a plane or in a plan view, the bridging pattern 220B can overlap with the first pattern portion 210PP1.

[0142] Bridging pattern 220B can be applied to sensor layer 200 (e.g., see...). Figure 4 The first zone AR1 (for example, see) Figure 4 The plurality of bridging patterns 220B are provided. The number of the plurality of bridging patterns 220B may be approximately fifty or fewer. When the number of the plurality of bridging patterns 220B is approximately fifty or more, the plurality of bridging patterns 220B can be visually identifiable from the outside. However, according to the present invention, the number of the plurality of bridging patterns 220B may be approximately fifty or fewer to prevent or substantially prevent visual identification of the plurality of bridging patterns 220B from the outside. In one or more embodiments, the number of the plurality of bridging patterns 220B may be approximately four. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0143] Furthermore, the number of multiple bridging patterns 220B can be approximately fifty or fewer to reduce the number of contact hole CNTs. Consequently, the process losses that may occur when defining the number of contact hole CNTs used to provide multiple bridging patterns 220B can be reduced.

[0144] Multiple second openings HA2 can be provided. These multiple second openings HA21 and HA22 can have different dimensions from each other. For example, the size of one second opening HA21 can be smaller than the size of another second opening HA22. In one or more embodiments, in a plane or in a plan view, the size of one second opening HA21 can be smaller than the size of another second opening HA22.

[0145] Multiple emission regions PXA defined on display layer 100 (e.g., see...) Figure 3 It may not overlap with multiple first cross pattern portions 220PP1, multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2, first pattern portion 210PP1, and bridging pattern 220B. Some of the multiple emission regions PXA may overlap with multiple second openings HA21 and HA22.

[0146] One emission region PXA may overlap with the second opening HA21. However, this is merely an example. According to embodiments of the present invention, the number of emission regions PXA overlapping with the second opening HA21 is not limited to this. For example, four emission regions PXA may overlap with the second opening HA21. In other words, four emission regions PXA may overlap with a single second opening HA21.

[0147] At least four emission regions PXA can overlap with the second opening HA22. For example, Figure 5C The diagram illustrates a structure in which four emission regions PXA overlap with the second opening HA22. However, this is merely an example. According to embodiments of the invention, the number of emission regions PXA overlapping the second opening HA22 is not limited to this. For example, nine emission regions PXA may overlap the second opening HA22. In one or more embodiments, fewer than four emission regions PXA may overlap the second opening HA22.

[0148] Figure 6 This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 Plan view of area 200U.

[0149] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 6 The plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1 and the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2 may have a shape symmetrical with respect to an axis AX1 extending in the first direction DR1.

[0150] A first cross pattern portion 220PP1 and a second cross pattern portion 220PP2 can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically) via multiple bridging patterns 220B. For example, a first cross pattern portion 220PP1 and a second cross pattern portion 220PP2 can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically) via four bridging patterns 220B. In one or more embodiments, twenty bridging patterns 220B can be provided in the first region AR1.

[0151] When viewed in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the bridging pattern 220B may overlap with the first pattern portion 210PP1. The bridging pattern 220B may have a grid structure. The opening HAB may be defined within the bridging pattern 220B. The first pattern portion 210PP1 may overlap with the opening HAB. The opening HAB may have a larger dimension than the second opening HA2. For example, in a planar view or on a plane, the size of the opening HAB may be larger than the size of the second opening HA2.

[0152] The fifth opening HA5 may be defined in each of the plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2. The fifth opening HA5 may have a smaller size than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. For example, in a plan view or on a plane, the size of the fifth opening HA5 may be smaller than the size of each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4.

[0153] In the first region AR1, the second portion 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 can be arranged adjacent to each other, such that the length of the boundary between the facing second portions 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 can be increased. Correspondingly, the mutual capacitance between the plurality of electrodes 210 and the plurality of cross electrodes 220 can be increased. With the increase in mutual capacitance, the amount of change in mutual capacitance can increase. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer 200 can be improved.

[0154] Each of the first opening HA1 defined in the second region AR2 of the sensor layer 200 and the fourth opening HA4 defined in the third region AR3 can have a size larger than that of each of the second opening HA2, the third opening HA3, and the fifth opening HA5. For example, in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the first opening HA1 can be dimensionally larger than each of the second opening HA2, the third opening HA3, and the fifth opening HA5, and in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the fourth opening HA4 can be dimensionally larger than each of the second opening HA2, the third opening HA3, and the fifth opening HA5. When viewed in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the plurality of first portions 210P1 and the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 are connected to the second electrode CE (e.g., see...). Figure 3The overlapping area can be reduced. According to the concept of the present invention, the parasitic capacitance Cb (e.g., see...) Figure 3 The value of ) can be reduced. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of sensor layer 200 relative to the change in capacitance can be improved.

[0155] Figure 7A This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 A floor plan of area 200U, and Figure 7B This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 7A A magnified plan view of region BB'.

[0156] refer to Figure 4 , Figure 7A and Figure 7B Each of the plurality of electrodes 210 may include a plurality of first portions 210P1, a plurality of second portions 210P2, and a plurality of branch portions 210BR.

[0157] Each of the multiple first parts 210P1 can branch into multiple branch parts 210BR. For example, as Figure 7A As shown, a first portion 210P1 can branch into three branch portions 210BR. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto. In one or more embodiments, the gaps can be defined between the plurality of branch portions 210BR. The plurality of branch portions 210BR can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the second direction DR2.

[0158] Multiple branch sections 210BR can be extended to multiple second sections 210P2 respectively.

[0159] Each of the plurality of cross electrodes 220 may include a plurality of first cross portions 220P1, a plurality of second cross portions 220P2, a plurality of cross branch portions 220BR, and a plurality of bridging patterns 220B.

[0160] Each of the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 can branch into a plurality of intersecting branch portions 220BR. For example, as Figure 7A As shown, a first intersecting portion 220P1 can branch into three intersecting branching portions 220BR. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto. In one or more embodiments, the gaps can be defined between the plurality of intersecting branching portions 220BR. The plurality of intersecting branching portions 220BR can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a first direction DR1.

[0161] Each of the multiple intersecting branches 220BR can branch into multiple second intersecting branches 220P2. For example, as Figure 7AAs shown, a cross branch portion 220BR can branch into three second cross portions 220P2. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto. In one or more embodiments, a plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2 can be respectively disposed between a plurality of second cross portions 220P2.

[0162] Multiple second portions 210P2 and multiple second cross portions 220P2 can be disposed in a cross region, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 cross each other. Multiple cross regions can be provided, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 cross each other. For example, as... Figure 7A As shown, nine intersection regions can be provided. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto.

[0163] Multiple first cross pattern portions 220PP1 and multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2 can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically connected) via multiple bridging patterns 220B. For example, as Figure 7B As shown, a plurality of first cross pattern portions 220PP1 and a plurality of second cross pattern portions 220PP2 can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically connected) via four bridging patterns 220B. In one or more embodiments, as Figure 7A As shown, thirty-six bridging patterns 220B can be set in the first region AR1. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto.

[0164] In the first region AR1, the second portion 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 can be arranged alternately. The second portion 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 can be arranged adjacent to each other, such that the length of the boundary between the facing second portions 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 can be increased.

[0165] Each of the first opening HA1 defined in the second region AR2 of the sensor layer 200 and the fourth opening HA4 defined in the third region AR3 can have a size larger than that of each of the second opening HA2, the third opening HA3, and the fifth opening HA5. Figure 3 The overlapping area can be reduced. According to the concept of the present invention, the parasitic capacitance Cb (e.g., see...) Figure 3 The value of ) can be reduced. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of sensor layer 200 relative to the change in capacitance can be improved.

[0167] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 7C Electrode 210a may further include a third portion 210P3a spaced apart from the second portion 210P2, with the first portion 210P1 located between the third portion 210P3a and the second portion 210P2. The third portion 210P3a may be disposed between a plurality of first portions 210P1. The third portion 210P3a may be disposed in the second region AR2. The width WD2a of the third portion 210P3a may be the same as (equal to) or substantially the same as (substantially equal to) the width WD1 of the first portion 210P1.

[0169] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 7DElectrode 210b may further include a third portion 210P3b spaced apart from the second portion 210P2, with the first portion 210P1 located between the third portion 210P3b and the second portion 210P2. The third portion 210P3b may be disposed between a plurality of first portions 210P1. The third portion 210P3b may be disposed in the second region AR2. The width WD2b of the third portion 210P3b may be smaller than the width WD1 of the first portion 210P1. For example, the width WD2b of the third portion 210P3b may be the same as (equal to) or substantially the same as (substantially equal to) the width WD3 of each of the plurality of branch portions 210BR.

[0170] Figure 7B and Figure 7D Each of them is shown as an example Figure 7A The pattern is as described above, but the shape of the pattern of each of the electrodes 210 and cross electrodes 220 in the embodiments of the present invention is not limited thereto, and thus may have the shape of each of the patterns in other embodiments of the present invention.

[0171] Figure 8A This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 A floor plan of area 200U, and Figure 8B This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 8A A magnified plan view of region CC'.

[0172] refer to Figure 4 , Figure 8A and Figure 8B Each of the plurality of electrodes 210 may include a plurality of first portions 210P1, a plurality of second portions 210P2, and a plurality of branch portions 210BR.

[0173] Each of the multiple first parts 210P1 can branch into multiple branch parts 210BR. For example, as Figure 8A As shown, a first portion 210P1 can branch into two branch portions 210BR. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto. In one or more embodiments, the gap can be defined between the plurality of branch portions 210BR. The plurality of branch portions 210BR can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the second direction DR2.

[0174] Multiple branch sections 210BR can be extended to multiple second sections 210P2 respectively.

[0175] Each of the plurality of cross electrodes 220 may include a plurality of first cross portions 220P1, a plurality of second cross portions 220P2, a plurality of cross branch portions 220BR, and a plurality of bridging patterns 220B.

[0176] Each of the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 can branch into a plurality of intersecting branch portions 220BR. For example, as Figure 8A As shown, a first intersecting portion 220P1 can branch into two intersecting branching portions 220BR. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto. In one or more embodiments, the gap can be defined between the plurality of intersecting branching portions 220BR. The plurality of intersecting branching portions 220BR can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a first direction DR1.

[0177] Each of the multiple intersecting branches 220BR can branch into multiple second intersecting branches 220P2. For example, as Figure 8A As shown, one intersecting branch portion 220BR can branch into six second intersecting portions 220P2. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto. In one or more embodiments, a plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2 can be respectively disposed between a plurality of second intersecting portions 220P2.

[0178] Multiple second portions 210P2 and multiple second cross portions 220P2 can be disposed in a cross region, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 cross each other. Multiple cross regions can be provided, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 cross each other. For example, as... Figure 8A As shown, four intersecting regions can be provided. However, the inventive concept is not limited thereto.

[0179] Multiple second intersecting portions 220P2 can form an interdigital structure with multiple second patterned portions 210PP2. For example, the multiple second intersecting portions 220P2 can have a Z-shaped shape. In the first region AR1, the second portions 210P2 and the second intersecting portions 220P2 can be arranged adjacent to each other, such that the length of the boundary between the facing second portions 210P2 and the second intersecting portions 220P2 can be increased. Accordingly, the mutual capacitance between the multiple electrodes 210 and the multiple intersecting electrodes 220 can be increased. As the mutual capacitance increases, the change in mutual capacitance can increase. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer 200 can be improved.

[0180] Multiple first cross pattern portions 220PP1 and multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2 can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically) via multiple bridging patterns 220B. For example, multiple first cross pattern portions 220PP1 and multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2 can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically) via four bridging patterns 220B. The bridging patterns 220B can have a Z-shaped shape. Sixteen bridging patterns 220B can be arranged in the first area AR1.

[0181] Each of the first opening HA1 defined in the second region AR2 of the sensor layer 200 and the fourth opening HA4 defined in the third region AR3 can have a larger size than each of the second opening HA2 and the fifth opening HA5. For example, in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the first opening HA1 can be larger in size than each of the second opening HA2 and the fifth opening HA5, and in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the fourth opening HA4 can be larger in size than each of the second opening HA2 and the fifth opening HA5. When viewed in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the plurality of first portions 210P1 and the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 are connected to the second electrode CE (e.g., see...).

[0182] Figure 9A This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 A floor plan of area 200U, and Figure 9B This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 9A A magnified plan view of region DD'.

[0183] refer to Figure 4 , Figure 9A and Figure 9B Each of the plurality of electrodes 210 may include a plurality of first portions 210P1, a plurality of second portions 210P2, and a plurality of branch portions 210BR.

[0184] Each of the plurality of first portions 210P1 can branch into a plurality of branch portions 210BR. For example, a first portion 210P1 can branch into three branch portions 210BR. Gap can be defined between the plurality of branch portions 210BR. The plurality of branch portions 210BR can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in the second direction DR2.

[0185] Multiple branch sections 210BR can be extended to multiple second sections 210P2 respectively.

[0186] Each of the plurality of cross electrodes 220 may include a plurality of first cross portions 220P1, a plurality of second cross portions 220P2a, a plurality of cross branch portions 220BR, and a plurality of bridging patterns 220B.

[0187] The plurality of second intersecting portions 220P2a may include a plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1a and a plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2a. The plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1a and the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2a may be spaced apart from each other, and a plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2a are located between the plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1a and the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2a.

[0188] Each of the plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1a and each of the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2a may have different shapes from each other. A third opening HA3 may be defined in each of the plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1a.

[0189] Each of the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 can branch into a plurality of intersecting branch portions 220BR. For example, one first intersecting portion 220P1 can branch into three intersecting branch portions 220BR. Gap can be defined between the plurality of intersecting branch portions 220BR. The plurality of intersecting branch portions 220BR can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a first direction DR1.

[0190] Each of the multiple intersecting branch portions 220BR can branch into multiple second intersecting portions 220P2a. For example, one intersecting branch portion 220BR can branch into two second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2a and one first intersecting pattern portion 220PP1a. Multiple second pattern portions 210PP2 can be respectively disposed between the multiple second intersecting portions 220P2a.

[0191] Multiple second portions 210P2 and multiple second cross portions 220P2a can be disposed in the cross regions, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 are arranged in an interdigital structure. Multiple cross regions can be provided, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 cross each other. For example, nine cross regions can be provided.

[0192] The plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2 and the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2a can have a shape symmetrical with respect to the axis AX2 extending in the second direction DR2. The plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2 and the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2a can intersect each other. In the first region AR1, the second portions 210P2 and the second intersecting portions 220P2a can be arranged adjacent to each other, such that the length of the boundary between the second portions 210P2 and the second intersecting portions 220P2a facing each other can be increased. Accordingly, the mutual capacitance between the plurality of electrodes 210 and the plurality of intersecting electrodes 220 can be increased. As the mutual capacitance increases, the amount of change in mutual capacitance can increase. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer 200 can be improved.

[0193] Multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2a can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically) via multiple bridging patterns 220B. For example, multiple second cross pattern portions 220PP2a can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically) via four bridging patterns 220B. Thirty-six bridging patterns 220B can be provided in the first area AR1.

[0194] Each of the first opening HA1 defined in the second region AR2 of the sensor layer 200 and the fourth opening HA4 defined in the third region AR3 can have a larger size than each of the second opening HA2 and the third opening HA3. For example, in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the first opening HA1 can be larger in size than each of the second opening HA2 and the third opening HA3, and in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the fourth opening HA4 can be larger in size than each of the second opening HA2 and the third opening HA3. When viewed in a planar view or in a planar diagram, the plurality of first portions 210P1 and the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 are connected to the second electrode CE (e.g., see...).

[0195] Figure 10 This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 A floor plan of area 200U. Figure 10 In the description, the same reference numerals are used for... Figure 7A The components are described, and the description of them does not need to be repeated.

[0196] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 10Each of the plurality of cross electrodes 220 may include a plurality of first cross portions 220P1, a plurality of second cross portions 220P2, a plurality of first cross branch portions 220BR1, a plurality of second cross branch portions 220BR2, a plurality of third cross branch portions 220BR3, and a plurality of bridging patterns 220B.

[0197] Each of the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 can branch into a plurality of first intersecting branch portions 220BR1. For example, one first intersecting portion 220P1 can branch into three first intersecting branch portions 220BR1. Gap can be defined between the plurality of first intersecting branch portions 220BR1. The plurality of first intersecting branch portions 220BR1 can be arranged to be spaced apart from each other in a first direction DR1.

[0198] Multiple second cross branches 220BR2 can be arranged between multiple second cross branches 220P2.

[0199] Multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3 can be disposed between two adjacent second cross branch portions 220BR2 in the first direction DR1. The multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3 can be spaced apart from each other in the second direction DR2, with one of the multiple branch portions 210BR located between the multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3. The multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3 can be disposed adjacent to the multiple branch portions 210BR, thereby increasing the length of the boundary between the multiple electrodes 210 and the multiple cross electrodes 220 facing each other in the first region AR1. According to the present invention, the mutual capacitance between the multiple electrodes 210 and the multiple cross electrodes 220 can be increased. As the mutual capacitance increases, the change in mutual capacitance can increase. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer 200 can be improved.

[0200] Multiple second portions 210P2 and multiple second cross portions 220P2 can be disposed in the cross regions, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 cross each other. Multiple cross regions can be provided, in which multiple electrodes 210 and multiple cross electrodes 220 cross each other. For example, nine cross regions can be provided.

[0201] Multiple first cross branch sections 220BR1, multiple second cross branch sections 220BR2, and multiple third cross branch sections 220BR3 can have a mesh structure.

[0202] Figure 11 This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 A floor plan of area 200U. Figure 11 In the subsequent description, the same reference numerals are used for... Figure 7AThe constituent elements are described, and their descriptions may not be repeated.

[0203] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 11 Each of the plurality of cross electrodes 220 may include a plurality of first cross portions 220P1, a plurality of second cross portions 220P2, a plurality of first cross branch portions 220BR1a, a plurality of second cross branch portions 220BR2a, a plurality of third cross branch portions 220BR3a, and a plurality of bridging patterns 220B.

[0204] Each of the plurality of first intersecting portions 220P1 can branch into a plurality of first intersecting branch portions 220BR1a. For example, one first intersecting portion 220P1 can branch into three first intersecting branch portions 220BR1a. The gaps can be defined between the plurality of first intersecting branch portions 220BR1a.

[0205] Multiple second cross branches 220BR2a can be disposed between multiple second cross branches 220P2. Multiple first cross branches 220BR1a and multiple second cross branches 220BR2a can have a mesh structure.

[0206] Multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3a can be disposed between two adjacent second cross pattern portions 220PP2 in the first direction DR1. In one or more embodiments, multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3a can be disposed between multiple second cross branch portions 220BR2a. Multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3a can be disposed adjacent to multiple branch portions 210BR. Multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3a can have a Z-shaped shape. Multiple third cross branch portions 220BR3a can be disposed adjacent to multiple branch portions 210BR, such that the length of the boundary between the multiple electrodes 210 and the multiple cross electrodes 220 facing each other in the first region AR1 can be increased. Accordingly, the mutual capacitance between the multiple electrodes 210 and the multiple cross electrodes 220 can be increased. As the mutual capacitance increases, the amount of change in mutual capacitance can increase. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer 200 can be improved.

[0207] Each of the second opening HA2, the third opening HA3, and the fifth opening HA5 defined in the first region AR1 of the sensor layer 200 may be smaller in size than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. For example, in a planar or planar view, the second opening HA2 may be smaller in size than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4, the third opening HA3 may be smaller in size than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4, and the fifth opening HA5 may be smaller in size than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. The second portion 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 may be arranged adjacent to each other. The plurality of third cross branch portions 220BR3a may form an interdigital structure with the plurality of branch portions 210BR. According to the present invention, the amount of change in mutual capacitance between the plurality of electrodes 210 and the plurality of cross electrodes 220 can be increased. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer 200 relative to the amount of change in mutual capacitance can be improved.

[0209] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 12 The fifth opening HA5a may be defined in each of a plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2. The fifth opening HA5a may have a smaller size than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. The fifth opening HA5a may be referred to as the first pattern opening HA5a. Multiple fifth openings HA5a may be provided. In one or more embodiments, in a plane or in a plan view, the size of any one of the fifth openings HA51a, HA52a, and HA53a may each be smaller than the size of each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. The fifth openings HA51a, HA52a, and HA53a may have different sizes from each other. For example, one fifth opening HA51a may have a smaller size than another fifth opening HA52a, and may have a larger size than yet another fifth opening HA53a.

[0210] In the first region AR1, the second portion 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 can be arranged adjacent to each other, such that the length of the boundary between the facing second portions 210P2 and the second cross portion 220P2 can be increased.

The fifth opening HA5b may have a smaller size than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. Multiple fifth openings HA5b may be provided. In one or more embodiments, in a plane or in a plan view, the size of any one of the fifth openings HA51b, HA52b, and HA53b may each be smaller than the size of each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. The fifth openings HA51b, HA52b, and HA53b may have different sizes from each other. For example, one fifth opening HA51b may have a smaller size than another fifth opening HA52b, and another fifth opening HA52b may have a smaller size than yet another fifth opening HA53b.

The plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1b and the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2b may be spaced apart from each other, and a plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2 are located between the plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1b and the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2b.

[0221] Each of the plurality of first intersecting pattern portions 220PP1b and each of the plurality of second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2b may have different shapes from each other. The plurality of second pattern portions 210PP21 and 210PP22 may have different shapes from each other.

Multiple second intersecting pattern portions 220PP2b can have a Z-shaped shape.

[0224] Figure 16 This is an embodiment of the concept of the present invention. Figure 4 Plan view of area 200U.

[0225] refer to Figure 4 and Figure 16 The plurality of second portions 210P2a may include a plurality of first pattern portions 210PP1a and a plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2a. The plurality of first pattern portions 210PP1a and the plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2a may be spaced apart from each other, and a plurality of second intersecting portions 220P2 are located between the plurality of first pattern portions 210PP1a and the plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2a.

[0226] Each of the plurality of first pattern portions 210PP1a and each of the plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2a may be different from each other. A fifth opening HA5 may be defined in each of the plurality of first pattern portions 210PP1a. The fifth opening HA5 may have a smaller dimension than each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. For example, in a planar plane or in a plan view, the dimension of the fifth opening HA5 may be smaller than the dimensions of each of the first opening HA1 and the fourth opening HA4. The plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2a may form an interdigital structure with the plurality of second intersecting portions 220P2. The plurality of second intersecting portions 220P2 may surround the plurality of second pattern portions 210PP2a.

[0227] Multiple first cross portions 220P1 and multiple second cross portions 220P2 can be connected to each other (e.g., electrically connected) via multiple bridging patterns 220B. The multiple bridging patterns 220B can be disposed adjacent to one side of one of the multiple first cross portions 220P1 and can be disposed spaced apart from the other side of the other of the multiple first cross portions 220P1.

[0228] According to the present invention, the size of the opening defined in each of the electrodes and cross electrodes in a region adjacent to the region where the electrodes and cross electrodes intersect and are insulated from each other can be larger than the size of the opening defined in each of the electrodes and cross electrodes in the region where the electrodes and cross electrodes intersect and are insulated from each other. As the size of the opening in the region adjacent to the region where the electrodes and cross electrodes intersect and are insulated from each other increases, the parasitic capacitance value generated in each of the electrodes and cross electrodes can be reduced. Therefore, the ratio of the change in capacitance to a reference value can be increased, and the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer relative to the change in capacitance can be improved.

[0229] According to the present invention, in regions where the electrodes and cross electrodes form an interdigitated structure to insulate each other, the electrodes and cross electrodes can be arranged adjacent to each other. The mutual capacitance between the electrodes and cross electrodes can be increased. As the mutual capacitance increases, the change in mutual capacitance can also increase. Therefore, the sensing sensitivity of the sensor layer can be improved.
