Abstract

[Problem] To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program capable of detecting an abnormality of a sensor mounted on a vehicle using information thereof. [Solution] An information processing apparatus includes a first data acquisition unit, a second data acquisition unit, a comparison unit, and a detection unit. The first data acquisition unit acquires first data including at least one of position information of an object existing in a surrounding environment of a vehicle and road surface inclination information generated by using sensing data of one or more sensors mounted on the vehicle and a time stamp indicating a date and time at which the information is acquired. The second data acquisition unit acquires second data including at least one of the position information of the object existing in the surrounding environment of the vehicle and the road surface inclination information generated by using sensing data of one or more sensors other than the sensors of the vehicle and the time stamp indicating the date and time at which the information is acquired. The comparison unit compares the first data and the second data based on the time stamp included in each of the first data and the second data. The detection unit detects an abnormality related to the sensor mounted on the vehicle based on a comparison result of the comparison unit.
