Audio amplifier using a limited power supply

Abstract

According to an example aspect of the present application there is provided an audio amplifier for use with a restricted power supply, the audio amplifier comprising: a power supply input port; a signal input port; a first DC-DC converter having an input connected to the power supply input port; an electrical energy storage device connected with an output of the first DC-DC converter, a second DC-DC converter having an input connected to the electrical energy storage device; an amplifier electrically connected with an output of the second DC-DC converter for power supply by the output of the second DC-DC converter, the amplifier further electrically connected with the signal input port for receiving a signal for amplification, an amplifier output port configured for connection with a sensor such that the sensor is drivable by the amplifier.
