Create a database state tree

Abstract

This invention particularly relates to a computer-implemented method for creating a database state tree. The method includes: providing a database having at least one database state branch; receiving one or more write events applied to an identified state of the database; recovering the identified database state from the database; and creating a new branch by using a reference to the identified state to create a new patch as an alternative state to the identified database state.
