Abstract

A cartridge for an aerosol-generating device, the cartridge comprising: a housing containing an aerosol-forming substrate; and a heater element comprising a fluid-permeable heater portion and an electrical contact portion. The heater portion and the electrical contact portion can be integrally formed from a single heater sheet. The heater portion can be enclosed within the housing and positioned to heat the aerosol-forming substrate, and the electrical contact portion can extend outside the housing. The electrical contact portion can be bent to form an electrical contact pad. Manufacturing methods for such cartridges are also disclosed.
