Abstract

This disclosure relates to a method, apparatus, storage medium, and electronic device for generating grass textures, and pertains to the field of game technology. The method includes: performing coordinate separation on basic spatial UV information to obtain first horizontal UV information and first vertical UV information; performing a remainder operation on the first vertical UV information to obtain second vertical UV information; distorting and scaling the first horizontal UV information based on the channel value of the U channel in the viewport UV texture and the second vertical UV information; performing a remainder operation on the distorted and scaled first horizontal UV information to obtain second horizontal UV information; recombining the second horizontal UV information and the second vertical UV information to obtain first grass UVs; and performing texture sampling on the first grass UVs to obtain a first grass texture. This disclosure improves the three-dimensionality of grass textures.
