Abstract

Provided is a sensor device that can balance the improvement in reproducibility and the reduction in average consumed current. The sensor device includes a sensor element that converts a predetermined physical quantity into an electric signal; a drive circuit that supplies a drive signal to the sensor element; a processing circuit that outputs a binary result signal obtained by binarizing the electric signal output from the sensor element; a determination circuit that acquires the binary result signal multiple times and performs a predetermined logical determination process; a latch circuit that acquires an output signal of the determination circuit; an output terminal; and a control circuit that outputs a control signal that performs intermittent control, such that at least one of the drive circuit and the processing circuit repeats an operation period in which an operation current is supplied and a stop period in which the operation current is cut off at a predetermined cycle, and when it is determined that the predetermined determination process is performed during the operation period and the logic of the output of the determination circuit is not switched midway through the operation period, the operation period is interrupted and changed to the stop period.
