The present application discloses a machine tool monitoring method, system and storage medium, and relates to the field of monitoring technology. A machine tool monitoring method, comprising: obtaining multiple first state signals sent by a controller, and identifying a first processing state of the machine tool according to the multiple first state signals; comparing the first processing state with a preset state to obtain a first comparison result; when the first comparison result indicates that the machine tool switches the processing scene, the multiple first state signals are set as a first scene switching code; the first scene switching code and the first switching scene signal corresponding to the first scene switching code are sent to the protection system, so that the protection system switches the protection mode of the machine tool. The machine tool monitoring method of the present application efficiently monitors the processing scene of the machine tool, and sends the monitoring information to the protection system, thereby avoiding the occurrence of damage to the machine tool due to operational errors.
