Internal component architecture for a display

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to internal component architecture for displays. The present application relates to display devices and the layout / architecture of various internal components for enhanced thermal energy management. The display devices described herein can include one or more fan assemblies that drive ambient air into the display device to cool heat generating components of the display device and also to drive ambient air (once heated by convectively cooling the heat generating components) out of the display device. Further, the heat generating components are positioned such that the heat generating components are upstream relative to the one or more fan assemblies. In this manner, ambient air can pass over or through the heat generating components before reaching the one or more fan assemblies. Additionally, heat generating components such as backlight devices and power supply units are positioned relatively close to a vent inlet in the display device. Thus, these heat generating devices are immediately cooled by ambient air.
