Method and apparatus for generating target sound

Abstract

This disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for generating target sound. A method for headphone playback of target sound is disclosed, which involves accessing some binary data of a sound file, wherein the sound file has several binary data, each binary data storing multiple audio segments. Audio segments are selected from the accessed binary data and mixed while crossfading in and out to form a target sound sequence. The target sound sequence is then used to drive headphone speakers. Other aspects are also described and protection is claimed for them.
