Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention belongs to the field of anti-corrosion coating technology, specifically relating to a coating maintenance method for refining and chemical enterprises. Background Technology
[0002] The effectiveness of anti-corrosion coatings on refining and chemical production equipment involves many aspects, including safety and economic efficiency. They are crucial for the appearance of the equipment, operational safety, and ensuring long-term stable operation. However, anti-corrosion coatings on refining and chemical equipment and storage tanks commonly suffer from premature failure and short service life, resulting in unsatisfactory actual effects that seriously impact the company's appearance, production safety, and economic benefits.
[0003] Currently, existing standards, specifications, and operational requirements do not classify or grade maintenance coatings; instead, they uniformly require the removal of the old coating before applying a new one. However, in practice, some old coatings are aged and difficult to remove, resulting in time-consuming, labor-intensive, and increased maintenance costs.
[0004] Conducting coating inspections at refining and chemical enterprises, classifying and grading the problems found, and addressing specific issues on a case-by-case basis can avoid the waste of manpower and resources caused by large-scale coating maintenance, reduce material usage, improve the appearance quality of the maintenance coating, and effectively extend the service life of the coating. This also prevents the coating from failing and corroding on a larger scale due to coating deterioration, which is of great significance for enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency, thereby improving their economic benefits.
[0005] In view of this, the present invention provides a method for coating maintenance in refining and chemical enterprises. Summary of the Invention
[0006] To address the shortcomings of existing technologies, the present invention aims to provide a coating maintenance method for refining and chemical enterprises. This method can formulate corresponding coating maintenance strategies based on the actual conditions of the refining and chemical equipment to be maintained, making it highly targeted and economically beneficial.
[0007] To achieve the above objectives, the present invention adopts the following technical solution:
[0008] A method for maintaining coatings in refining and chemical enterprises includes the following steps:
[0009] S1. Collect information on the refining equipment with coatings to be maintained. The information on the refining equipment includes one or more of the following: coating status information, existing coating matching and coating thickness information, substrate information, surface material information, medium operating temperature, and atmospheric corrosion level information.
[0010] S2. Input the refining equipment information obtained in step S1 into the refining and chemical enterprise anti-corrosion coating strategy recommendation system to obtain the system's recommended coating process. Then, determine whether the existing coating matching and coating thickness of the refining and chemical equipment to be maintained are correct. If the coating matching and coating thickness are incorrect, end the entire evaluation process and implement overall maintenance. If the coating matching and coating thickness are correct, conduct subsequent on-site evaluation.
[0011] S3. Conduct on-site assessment, which includes appearance inspection and adhesion testing;
[0012] S4. Based on the on-site assessment results in step S3, classify the degree of coating deterioration of the coating of the device to be maintained, and formulate corresponding maintenance plans based on the classification results.
[0013] S5. Implement the coating maintenance plan obtained in step S4, conduct quality inspection and filing, and update the basic information of the device to be maintained.
[0014] Preferably, in step S1, the coating status information of the refining unit is used to indicate whether the refining unit has been coated with an anti-corrosion coating; the substrate information of the refining unit includes carbon steel / low alloy steel and stainless steel; the surface material information of the refining unit is used to indicate whether the surface of the substrate of the refining unit is covered with a heat insulation layer; the atmospheric corrosion level information is divided into five levels: very low corrosion, low corrosion, medium corrosion, high corrosion, and very high corrosion.
[0015] Preferably, the anti-corrosion coating strategy recommendation system for refining and chemical enterprises includes:
[0016] A database of anti-corrosion coatings is used to store information on different anti-corrosion coatings and to form different sets of coatings.
[0017] The display input module is used to store information about different refining and chemical units in a refining and chemical enterprise; at the same time, it extracts the information about the refining and chemical units and outputs it to the corresponding module.
[0018] The anti-corrosion coating classification module is used to receive the coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment output by the display input module; based on the coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment, it extracts the corresponding coating candidate set from the anti-corrosion coating database and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module or the anti-corrosion coating preferred selection module.
[0019] The anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module is used to receive the refining and chemical equipment substrate information output by the display input module; based on the refining and chemical equipment substrate information, it determines the corresponding coating type from the coating candidate set output by the anti-corrosion coating classification module, obtains the coating preliminary selection set, and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating optimization module.
[0020] The anti-corrosion coating selection module is used to receive the surface material information of the refining and chemical equipment output by the display input module; based on the surface material information of the refining and chemical equipment, it determines the corresponding coating type from the preliminary selection set of coatings output by the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module or the candidate set of coatings output by the anti-corrosion coating classification module, obtains the coating candidate set, and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating final selection module.
[0021] The anti-corrosion coating final selection module is used to receive the refining unit medium operating temperature and atmospheric corrosion level information output by the display input module; based on the refining unit medium operating temperature and atmospheric corrosion level information, it determines the corresponding final coating process from the coating candidate set output by the anti-corrosion coating optimization module.
[0022] Meanwhile, the display input module acquires and displays the final selected coating process information.

[0034] Preferably, in step S4, when the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives coating candidate set three, the operating temperature of the refining and chemical unit medium is divided into different temperature ranges of -20~120℃, 100~200℃, 200~400℃, and 400~600℃ to determine the final coating process; when the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives coating candidate set four, the operating temperature of the refining and chemical unit medium is divided into different temperature ranges of -20~200℃ and 200~600℃ to determine the final coating process.
[0035] Preferably, in step S3, the appearance inspection indicators include one or more of the following: powdering, blistering, cracking, peeling, and erosion.

[0049] The technical solutions of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the embodiments of the present invention. Obviously, the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. Based on the embodiments of the present invention, all other embodiments obtained by those of ordinary skill in the art without creative effort are within the scope of protection of the present invention.
[0050] Please see Figure 4 This paper provides a method for maintaining coatings in refining and chemical enterprises, comprising the following steps:
[0051] S1. Collect information on the refining equipment with coatings to be maintained. The information on the refining equipment includes one or more of the following: coating status information, existing coating matching and coating thickness information, substrate information, surface material information, medium operating temperature, and atmospheric corrosion level information.
[0053] S3. Conduct on-site assessment, which includes appearance inspection and adhesion testing;
[0054] S4. Based on the on-site assessment results in step S3, classify the degree of coating deterioration of the coating of the device to be maintained, and formulate corresponding maintenance plans based on the classification results.
[0055] S5. Implement the coating maintenance plan obtained in step S4, conduct quality inspection and filing, and update the basic information of the device to be maintained.
[0056] In the above technical solution, it can be understood that collecting information on the refining and chemical equipment in step S1 is fundamental. It is the information source for the refining and chemical enterprise anti-corrosion coating strategy recommendation system in step S2. Only by inputting the information on the refining and chemical equipment obtained in step S1 into the refining and chemical enterprise anti-corrosion coating strategy recommendation system can the coating process under the correct design of the existing equipment be obtained. Only then can the correctness of the coating process of the existing coating be further determined, which is convenient for subsequent evaluation and maintenance work.
[0057] In some embodiments, in step S1, the coating status information of the refining unit is used to indicate whether the refining unit has been coated with an anti-corrosion coating; the substrate information of the refining unit includes carbon steel / low alloy steel and stainless steel; the surface material information of the refining unit is used to indicate whether the surface of the substrate of the refining unit is covered with a heat insulation layer; the atmospheric corrosion level information is divided into five levels: very low corrosion, low corrosion, medium corrosion, high corrosion, and very high corrosion.
[0058] Please see Figures 1-3 In some embodiments, the refining and chemical enterprise anti-corrosion coating strategy recommendation system includes:
[0059] A database of anti-corrosion coatings is used to store information on different anti-corrosion coatings and to form different sets of coatings.
[0060] The display input module is used to store information about different refining and chemical units in a refining and chemical enterprise; at the same time, it extracts the information about the refining and chemical units and outputs it to the corresponding module.
[0061] The anti-corrosion coating classification module is used to receive the coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment output by the display input module; based on the coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment, it extracts the corresponding coating candidate set from the anti-corrosion coating database and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module or the anti-corrosion coating preferred selection module.
[0062] The anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module is used to receive the refining and chemical equipment substrate information output by the display input module; based on the refining and chemical equipment substrate information, it determines the corresponding coating type from the coating candidate set output by the anti-corrosion coating classification module, obtains the coating preliminary selection set, and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating optimization module.
[0063] The anti-corrosion coating selection module is used to receive the surface material information of the refining and chemical equipment output by the display input module; based on the surface material information of the refining and chemical equipment, it determines the corresponding coating type from the preliminary selection set of coatings output by the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module or the candidate set of coatings output by the anti-corrosion coating classification module, obtains the coating candidate set, and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating final selection module.
[0064] The anti-corrosion coating final selection module is used to receive the refining unit medium operating temperature and atmospheric corrosion level information output by the display input module; based on the refining unit medium operating temperature and atmospheric corrosion level information, it determines the corresponding final coating process from the coating candidate set output by the anti-corrosion coating optimization module.
[0065] Meanwhile, the display input module acquires and displays the final selected coating process information.
[0066] In some embodiments, the coating information stored in the anti-corrosion coating database is selected from one or more of epoxy primers, epoxy zinc-rich paints, inorganic zinc-rich paints, epoxy glass flake paints, epoxy phenolic paints, organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paints, epoxy modified paints, and low-surface-treatment epoxy paints.
[0067] Epoxy primers are mostly used on cast iron, carbon steel, and other iron machine tools, primarily for corrosion and rust prevention, as well as for preventing fogging and salt damage. Epoxy primers have excellent adhesion and also provide rust and corrosion protection when applied to steel metal materials.
[0068] Epoxy zinc-rich primer is a high-solids epoxy primer formulated with zinc powder as filler, solid epoxy resin as base material, polyamide resin or amine adduct as curing agent, and appropriate mixed solvents. The zinc powder content in the coating typically exceeds 85% to form a continuous and dense coating that maintains close contact with the metal. Because zinc has a lower potential than steel when the coating is corroded, the zinc in the coating acts as the anode and is corroded first, while the steel substrate acts as the cathode and is protected, with zinc serving as a sacrificial anode.
[0069] Inorganic zinc-rich paint uses inorganic polymers (such as silicates, phosphates, dichromates, etc.) as film-forming substances. Zinc powder reacts with these polymers to form zinc-iron complexes on the metal surface, creating a robust protective coating. Because inorganic zinc-rich paint uses a large amount of high-purity, fine-particle zinc powder filler, it provides electrochemical protection. Zinc is more reactive than iron and has a more negative potential; in electrolyte solutions, zinc atoms readily lose electrons. Even if the coating is partially damaged, the steel surface will not corrode because zinc acts as a sacrificial anode. The anodic region loses electrons, while the cathode region gains electrons, thus protecting the steel. Inorganic zinc-rich paints using ethyl silicate or oligomers as film-forming substances have good adhesion to steel surfaces, are heat- and corrosion-resistant, do not easily age, and have excellent weather resistance. Furthermore, the zinc powder forms highly soluble and stable zinc salts and zinc complexes on the coating surface, preventing corrosion of the steel by oxygen, water, and salts.
[0070] Epoxy glass flake anti-corrosion paint, also known as thick-coat epoxy glass flake anti-corrosion paint, is composed of epoxy resin as the base material, glass flakes as the main anti-rust pigment, other anti-rust pigments, fillers, additives, organic solvents, epoxy curing agents, etc. It has excellent acid resistance, alkali resistance, oil resistance, seawater resistance, abrasion resistance, mechanical properties and adhesion, and can withstand dry heat up to 150℃.
[0071] Epoxy phenolic paint, also known as epoxy phenolic anti-corrosion paint, epoxy phenolic tank paint, or epoxy phenolic storage tank paint, is a two-component coating. Epoxy phenolic paint can withstand high temperatures up to 300℃ and has excellent corrosion resistance (e.g., resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents, and oils). Phenolic resin paint is suitable as an anti-corrosion coating for the outer walls of insulated steel equipment and pipelines in petrochemical plants, and is commonly used as an anti-corrosion coating for the inner walls of insulated pipes, storage tanks, oil tanks, motors, storage vessels, and pipelines.
[0072] Organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint is formulated from organosilicon high-temperature resistant resin, aluminum powder, additives, solvents, etc. It has excellent high-temperature resistance and is mainly used to coat steel parts of high-temperature equipment, such as engine housings, chimneys, exhaust pipes, ovens, furnaces, etc. It can withstand high temperatures of 100-600℃ for a long time.
[0073] Epoxy modified paint is mainly designed for heavy corrosion protection areas such as marine splash zones, tidal zones, underwater and buried areas. It can also be used for maintenance and repair in the above areas. It can continue to cure under immersion in water and is suitable for tidal and wave environments.
[0074] Low-surface-treatment epoxy paint is a two-component, thick-film type epoxy resin paint with low solvent content and high volume solids content, suitable for the construction and maintenance of components.
[0075] It is understood that the above-mentioned coatings are all existing technologies, and those skilled in the art can routinely select and use them. This embodiment does not specifically limit their specific grades or specifications.
[0076] In some embodiments, the information stored in the display input module includes one or more of the following: refining equipment coating status information, refining equipment substrate information, refining equipment surface material information, refining equipment medium operating temperature, and atmospheric corrosion level information.
[0077] Understandably, the coating status information for refining and chemical equipment indicates whether the equipment has been coated with an anti-corrosion coating; typically, newly built equipment lacks such coating, while maintenance equipment usually has it. The base material information indicates the type of base material, primarily including carbon steel / low alloy steel and stainless steel. The surface material information indicates whether the base material surface is covered with an insulation layer, i.e., whether it has an insulation layer or not. The operating temperature of the medium in the refining and chemical equipment is the operating temperature of the equipment, determined based on actual process parameters. Atmospheric corrosion level information is divided into five levels: very low corrosivity, low corrosivity, medium corrosivity, high corrosivity, and very high corrosivity, corresponding to C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5 respectively. Specifically, the atmospheric corrosion level information is determined by the display input module after obtaining information such as the external ambient temperature, SO2 concentration, atmospheric humidity, atmospheric salinity, and whether the equipment is located indoors from the refining and chemical equipment information, according to the ISO 9223-2012 standard.
[0078] Please see Figures 1-3 In some embodiments, the coating recommendation system for anti-corrosion coatings in refining and chemical enterprises includes the following steps in recommending coatings:
[0079] S11. Refining and Chemical Equipment Coating Status Information Judgment: The anti-corrosion coating classification module receives the coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment output by the display input module and makes a judgment. If no anti-corrosion coating is applied, the anti-corrosion coating classification module extracts the first set of coating candidates from the anti-corrosion coating database and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module; if an anti-corrosion coating is applied, the anti-corrosion coating classification module extracts the second set of coating candidates from the anti-corrosion coating database and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating optimization module.
[0080] S12. Refining and Chemical Equipment Substrate Information Judgment: The anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module receives the refining and chemical equipment substrate information output by the display input module and makes a judgment. If it is carbon steel / low alloy steel, the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module uses coating candidate set one as coating preliminary selection set one and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating optimization module; if it is stainless steel, the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module extracts coating preliminary selection set two from coating candidate set one and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating optimization module.
[0081] S13. Refining and Chemical Equipment Surface Material Information Judgment: The anti-corrosion coating selection module receives and judges the surface material information of the refining and chemical equipment output by the display input module. If there is no insulation layer, the anti-corrosion coating selection module extracts the coating candidate set one from the initial coating selection set one and the coating candidate set two from the coating candidate set two, and outputs both to the anti-corrosion coating final selection module; at the same time, the final coating process one is extracted from the initial coating selection set two.
[0082] If an insulation layer is applied, the anti-corrosion coating selection module extracts coating candidate set three from coating preliminary selection set one and coating candidate set four from coating candidate set two, and outputs both to the anti-corrosion coating final selection module; at the same time, it extracts final coating process two from coating preliminary selection set two.
[0083] S14. Judgment of operating temperature and atmospheric corrosion level of refining unit medium: The anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives the operating temperature and atmospheric corrosion level of the refining unit medium output by the display input module; if the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives coating candidate set one or coating candidate set two, then the corresponding final coating process three is determined according to the different atmospheric corrosion levels; if the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives coating candidate set three or coating candidate set four, then the corresponding final coating process four is determined according to the different operating temperature of the refining unit medium.
[0084] It is particularly important to emphasize that the coating process includes primer, intermediate coat, and topcoat, and the selection of primer, intermediate coat, and topcoat must be complementary. It is also important to note that the choice of coating is not unique. The coating process recommended in this invention is the most suitable. While it is feasible to choose a coating material with better performance within the recommended coating process, this is not typically the case in actual design and production. Furthermore, it should be noted that due to the complexity of coating types, the specific type of coating to choose is not unique. For example, in C5 grade environments, fluorocarbon or polysiloxane topcoats can also be considered. The coating process provided in this system is merely a preferred one.
[0085] In some embodiments, the first set of coating candidates includes epoxy primer, epoxy zinc-rich paint, inorganic zinc-rich paint, epoxy glass flake paint, epoxy phenolic paint, and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint; the second set of coating candidates includes epoxy modified paint, low surface treatment epoxy paint, epoxy phenolic paint, and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint.
[0086] In some implementations, the initial selection set of coatings includes epoxy primer and epoxy phenolic paint.
[0087] In some embodiments, the first set of coatings includes epoxy primer, epoxy zinc-rich paint, and inorganic zinc-rich paint; the second set of coatings includes epoxy modified paint and low surface treatment epoxy paint; the third set of coatings includes epoxy glass flake paint, epoxy phenolic paint, inorganic zinc-rich paint, and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint; and the fourth set of coatings includes epoxy phenolic paint and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint.
[0088] In some embodiments, in step S4, when the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives coating candidate set three, the operating temperature of the refining and chemical unit medium is divided into different temperature ranges of -20~120℃, 100~200℃, 200~400℃, and 400~600℃ to determine the final coating process; when the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives coating candidate set four, the operating temperature of the refining and chemical unit medium is divided into different temperature ranges of -20~200℃ and 200~600℃ to determine the final coating process.
[0089] In some embodiments, in step S3, the appearance inspection indicators include one or more of powdering, blistering, cracking, peeling, and erosion; the adhesion test can be performed using the cross-cut test or the grid test, which are conventional methods in the art and are not specifically described in this invention.
[0090] In some implementations, in step S4, the coating degradation level classification and maintenance plan are as follows:
[0091] When the coating degradation level is classified as aging rating level 2 or below (i.e., level A), no maintenance is required;
[0092] When the coating degradation level is classified as severe chalking but the primer is intact (i.e., Grade B), intermediate and topcoat maintenance is required.
[0093] When the coating degradation level is classified as localized failure (<20%) (i.e., level C), maintenance is required for the localized failure area.
[0094] When the coating degradation level is classified as large-area aging, corrosion, or adhesion <1MPa (i.e., level D), overall maintenance is required.
[0095] Specifically, please refer to Figure 5 After the coating degradation level is classified, corresponding implementation plans are formulated for different levels. For Class B coatings, the old chalking layer should be cleaned with high-pressure water before maintenance. After drying, the surface of the remaining coating should be roughened with coarse sandpaper to ensure the interlayer adhesion of the maintenance coating. Then, the intermediate coat and topcoat should be applied in sequence. For Class C coatings, surface treatment should be carried out in sections. For those parts that have been damaged to the substrate, power tools should be used to thoroughly clean down to St3 level to expose the bright metal substrate. For the remaining firmly adhered old paint film, the adhesion of the old paint film can be tested using a convenient and quick cross-cut or grid method to ensure that the poorly adhered old paint film is completely removed. The remaining old paint film should be roughened. After the surface treatment is completed, the coating should be applied. First, the parts sanded to the substrate should be coated with primer. Then, the intermediate coat and topcoat should be applied uniformly to all areas to obtain a smooth and uniform coating. It should be emphasized that the aging rating can refer to GB1766-2008.
[0096] Understandably, some preliminary work needs to be done before collecting basic information, such as establishing the assessment team and dividing the area. The coating assessment team members should possess knowledge in, but not limited to, the following areas: 1) Familiarity with basic knowledge of coating types, composition, and performance; 2) Understanding of atmospheric corrosion classification and coating system selection; 3) Familiarity with coating performance testing methods and requirements; 4) Familiarity with the coating's service life and maintenance history. This requirement aims to ensure the scientific rigor and rationality of the entire assessment process. The coating assessment team typically consists of 3-4 people.
[0097] Understandably, in step S1, the more basic information collected about the refining and chemical equipment to be maintained, the better. This should include at least one or more of the following: coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment, existing coating matching and coating thickness information of the refining and chemical equipment, substrate information of the refining and chemical equipment, surface material information of the refining and chemical equipment, medium operating temperature of the refining and chemical equipment, and atmospheric corrosion level information. Other information may also include design service life, service life, etc. The more complete the information collected, the better.
[0098] Understandably, in step S5, after the coating is completed, the coating quality is inspected. The inspection content mainly includes appearance inspection, dry film thickness and adhesion, etc. The appearance inspection includes but is not limited to dry spraying, wrinkling, particle formation, sagging, and missed coating. After the coating is accepted, the entire process data of coating maintenance is included in the coating file management and retained as basic data for future reference.
[0099] This invention provides a coating maintenance method for refining and chemical enterprises. When determining the suitability of coating compatibility and thickness, based on the provided system and method, the coating selection primarily considers factors including atmospheric corrosion level, the state of the coating on the refining and chemical equipment, the substrate of the refining and chemical equipment, the surface material of the refining and chemical equipment, and the operating temperature of the medium inside the refining and chemical equipment. Existing literature and standards mostly classify atmospheric corrosion levels according to region or the concentration of corrosive media such as SOx or NOx in the atmosphere, without considering the operating temperature of the medium inside the refining and chemical equipment. This invention classifies atmospheric corrosion levels for refining and chemical enterprises in different regions of China and for different units within the same enterprise, providing a more refined and accurate assessment than previous coating process determinations. Furthermore, regarding coating process selection, the system includes a coating compatibility screening function. By inputting factors such as new / maintenance, atmospheric corrosion level, operating temperature, substrate type, and whether there is an insulation layer, one or more recommended coating compatibility systems can be displayed.
[0100] The following detailed description of a coating maintenance method for refining and chemical enterprises based on specific embodiments further illustrates the present invention.
[0101] Example 1
[0102] A method for recommending anti-corrosion coating strategies for refining and chemical enterprises includes an anti-corrosion coating database, an anti-corrosion coating classification module, an anti-corrosion coating initial selection module, an anti-corrosion coating optimization module, an anti-corrosion coating final selection module, and a display input module.
[0103] The anti-corrosion coating database stores various types of anti-corrosion coatings, such as epoxy primer, epoxy zinc-rich paint, inorganic zinc-rich paint, epoxy glass flake paint, epoxy phenolic paint, organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint, epoxy modified paint, and low surface treatment epoxy paint.
[0104] The display input module extracts decision information from the entered refining and chemical equipment information, including: refining and chemical equipment coating status information, refining and chemical equipment substrate information, refining and chemical equipment surface material information, refining and chemical equipment medium operating temperature, and atmospheric corrosion level information. The refining and chemical equipment coating status information indicates whether the refining and chemical equipment has been coated with an anti-corrosion coating. The refining and chemical equipment substrate information includes carbon steel / low alloy steel or stainless steel. The refining and chemical equipment surface material information indicates whether the surface of the substrate of the refining and chemical equipment is covered with a heat insulation layer. The atmospheric corrosion level information is divided into 5 categories: C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5.
[0105] The display input module sends the extracted coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment to the anti-corrosion coating classification module. If the coating status information of the refining and chemical equipment is that no anti-corrosion coating is applied, the anti-corrosion coating classification module extracts the coating candidate set one from the anti-corrosion coating database: epoxy primer, epoxy zinc-rich paint, inorganic zinc-rich paint, epoxy glass flake paint, epoxy phenolic paint, and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint, and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating initial selection module.
[0106] If the coating status information of the refining unit is that an anti-corrosion coating has been applied, the anti-corrosion coating classification module extracts the second set of coating candidates from the anti-corrosion coating database: epoxy modified paint, low surface treatment epoxy paint, epoxy phenolic paint, and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint, and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating selection module.
[0107] The display input module sends the extracted substrate information of the refining and chemical equipment to the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module. If the substrate of the refining and chemical equipment is carbon steel / low alloy steel, the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module uses coating candidate set one as coating preliminary selection set one and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating optimization module. If the substrate of the refining and chemical equipment is stainless steel, the anti-corrosion coating preliminary selection module extracts epoxy primer and epoxy phenolic paint from coating candidate set one as coating preliminary selection set two and outputs it to the anti-corrosion coating optimization module.
[0108] The display input module transmits the extracted surface material information of the refining unit to the anti-corrosion coating selection module. If the surface material of the refining unit does not have an insulation layer, the anti-corrosion coating selection module extracts epoxy primer, epoxy zinc-rich paint, and inorganic zinc-rich paint from the initial coating selection set one as the coating candidate set one, and extracts epoxy modified paint and low surface treatment epoxy paint from the coating candidate set two as the coating candidate set two, and outputs them to the anti-corrosion coating final selection module; from the initial coating selection set two, it selects coating with 60μm epoxy primer + 60μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat as the final coating process.
[0109] If the surface material of the refining unit has a heat insulation layer, the anti-corrosion coating optimization module extracts epoxy glass flake paint, epoxy phenolic paint, inorganic zinc-rich paint, and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint from the initial coating selection set one as the coating candidate set three, and extracts epoxy phenolic paint and organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant paint from the coating candidate set two as the coating candidate set four, and outputs them to the anti-corrosion coating final selection module; and extracts the coating process of 100μm epoxy phenolic primer + 100μm epoxy phenolic topcoat from the initial coating selection set two as the final coating process.
[0110] The display input module transmits the extracted information on the operating temperature of the refining unit and the atmospheric corrosion level (where the refining unit is located) to the anti-corrosion coating final selection module. If the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives the third set of coating candidates, it selects the appropriate coating process based on the different operating temperature ranges: -20~120℃, 100~200℃, 200~400℃, and 400~600℃. Specifically, within the range of -20~120℃, a 300μm epoxy glass flake coating is selected. For the following temperature ranges: primer + 300μm epoxy glass flake topcoat or 150μm epoxy phenolic primer + 150μm epoxy phenolic topcoat; within the temperature range of 100–200℃, choose 150μm epoxy phenolic primer + 150μm epoxy phenolic topcoat; within the temperature range of 200–400℃, choose 70μm inorganic zinc-rich primer + 60μm organosilicon heat-resistant topcoat; within the temperature range of 400–600℃, choose 40μm organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant primer + 20μm organosilicon heat-resistant topcoat.
[0111] If the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives the fourth set of coating candidates, then based on the operating temperature ranges of -20~200℃ and 200~600℃, the following coating processes are selected in sequence: 150μm epoxy phenolic primer + 150μm epoxy phenolic topcoat and 40μm organosilicon aluminum powder heat-resistant topcoat + 20μm organosilicon heat-resistant topcoat as the final coating processes for the two operating temperature ranges.
[0112] If the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives coating candidate set one, it will select different final coating processes sequentially according to the atmospheric corrosion level: C3, C4, C5. Specifically, for level C3, the coating process selected is 60μm epoxy primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat; or 60μm epoxy zinc-rich primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat; or 60μm inorganic zinc-rich primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat. For level C4, the coating process selected is 80μm epoxy zinc-rich primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat. For grade C5, the coating should consist of 80μm epoxy primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat, or 80μm epoxy zinc-rich primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat, or 60μm inorganic zinc-rich primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat.
[0113] If the anti-corrosion coating final selection module receives the second set of coating candidates, it will select different coating processes based on the atmospheric corrosion level: C4 or C5. Specifically, for level C4, the coating process is 100μm modified epoxy primer + 100μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate paint + 60μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat; for level C5, the coating process is 100μm low surface treatment epoxy primer + 120μm epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate paint + 80μm aliphatic polyurethane topcoat.
[0114] The display input module also acquires and displays the final selected coating process.
[0115] Example 2
[0116] A method for maintaining coatings in refining and chemical enterprises includes the following steps:
[0117] S1. Collect information on the refining equipment with coatings to be maintained. The information on the refining equipment includes one or more of the following: coating status information, existing coating matching and coating thickness information, substrate information, surface material information, medium operating temperature, and atmospheric corrosion level information.
[0119] S3. Conduct on-site assessment, which includes appearance inspection and adhesion testing;
[0120] S4. Based on the on-site assessment results in step S3, classify the degree of coating deterioration of the coating of the device to be maintained, and formulate corresponding maintenance plans based on the classification results.
[0121] S5. Implement the coating maintenance plan obtained in step S4, conduct quality inspection and filing, and update the basic information of the device to be maintained.
[0122] In this embodiment, the appearance inspection indicators in step S3 include five types: powdering, blistering, cracking, peeling, and erosion.
[0123] In this embodiment, the coating degradation level classification and maintenance plan in step S4 are as follows:
[0124] When the coating degradation level is classified as aging rating level 2 or below, no maintenance is required;
[0125] When the coating degradation level is classified as severe chalking but the primer is intact, intermediate and topcoat maintenance is required.
[0126] When the coating degradation level is classified as localized failure, maintenance is required for the affected areas.
[0127] When the coating deterioration level is classified as large-area aging, corrosion, or adhesion <1MPa, overall maintenance is required.
[0128] Application Example 1
[0129] The method recommended in Example 1 was applied to a newly built oil refining unit in a petrochemical company along the Yangtze River in China. Anti-corrosion coatings were required for the equipment, pipelines, and steel structures within the unit. Before the formal application, a coating process design was necessary. First, the corrosion level was determined based on the geographical location of the Yangtze River region. Then, factors such as the new project, atmospheric corrosion level, operating temperature, substrate type, and whether insulation was included were input into the system. The system automatically presented the recommended coating process, as shown in Table 1 below. This method is more convenient and faster than the previous method of consulting standards for selection.
[0130] Table 1 provides coating matching recommendations after design elements are input into the platform.

[0132]
[0133] Application Example 2
[0134] The recommended method in Example 1 was applied to an in-service refining unit of a coastal petrochemical company in China. This unit had been operating for many years, and one of its containers had a poor appearance, requiring overall coating maintenance. Before the formal coating application, a coating process design for the anti-corrosion coating was necessary. First, the corrosion level was determined based on the geographical location of the coastal area. Then, factors such as the new project, atmospheric corrosion level, operating temperature, substrate type, and whether insulation was included were input into the system. The system automatically presented the recommended coating process, as shown in Table 2 below. This method is more convenient and faster than the previous method of consulting standards for selection.
[0135] Table 2 provides coating matching recommendations after design elements are input into the platform.
[0136]
[0137] Application Example 3
[0138] A domestic coastal refining and chemical enterprise's external anti-corrosion project for light oil storage tanks was designed for a 6-year service life. The coating consisted of an epoxy zinc-rich primer (80μm), an epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coat (120μm), and a polyurethane topcoat (80μm). After 4 years of operation, some areas of the coating peeled off and rusted, accounting for about 10% of the entire tank area. This seriously affected the safe operation of the equipment and facilities and the company's image. The original plan was to sandblast the entire outer wall of the tank and then repaint it, at a cost of about 600,000 yuan, including 250,000 yuan for technical measures (erecting scaffolding around the entire tank), 200,000 yuan for the coating, and 150,000 yuan for the painting construction.
[0139] A professional coating assessment team (4 people) was then established. First, basic data on the tank coating was collected and analyzed. Based on the system and method described in Example 1, the coating design was confirmed to be correct. The team then conducted an on-site inspection and evaluation of the coating. The on-site evaluation revealed that the coating had not chalked, and the vast majority of the coating was intact. Only a few areas showed peeling and corrosion, which had reached the substrate. Overall, the coating met Grade C requirements. Therefore, a maintenance plan was developed using localized maintenance. Because it was localized maintenance, scaffolding along the entire tank was avoided. Instead, a ladder truck was used to treat only the areas where the coating had failed. For the corroded areas, the surface was sanded down to the substrate, and primer, intermediate coat, and topcoat were applied sequentially, ensuring proper transition at overlapping areas. After coating was completed, a quality acceptance test was conducted. The dry film thickness of the coating was 282–355 μm, and the adhesion was above 3 MPa, meeting the coating design requirements. Because the entire solution adopted localized maintenance measures, the costs of technical measures such as scaffolding were completely avoided, and the costs of raw materials and construction were also reduced. The total project cost was approximately 200,000 yuan, saving 60% of the original planned expenditure. While ensuring the quality of the project, the cost was greatly reduced, and the company's economic benefits were improved.
[0140] The present invention has been illustrated through the above embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, that is, it does not mean that the present invention must rely on the above embodiments to be implemented. Those skilled in the art should understand that any improvements to the present invention, equivalent substitutions of individual raw materials in the product of the present invention, addition of auxiliary components, selection of specific methods, etc., all fall within the protection scope and disclosure scope of the present invention.
