Abstract

The invention relates to an inverter (1) for an electric motor (36). The inverter (1) comprises thereby a capacitor plate (6), at least one transistor plate (7) and a cooling element (4). The capacitor plate (6) and the at least one transistor plate (7) are both aligned transversely to a longitudinal center axis (LA) of the inverter (1) and electrically interconnected. According to the invention, the cooling element (4) is pot-shaped and forms a housing (12) of the inverter (1) which accommodates the capacitor plate (6) and the one transistor plate (7). The invention also relates to a motor (36) comprising the inverter (1).
