Floating offshore wind power and floating foundation thereof

Abstract

This invention discloses a floating offshore wind turbine and its novel floating foundation. The novel floating foundation includes: a pontoon, mooring cables, an anchoring foundation, multiple buoyancy columns, and multiple lifting devices. The pontoon is filled with ballast water. The mooring cables connect the pontoon and the anchoring foundation. Multiple buoyancy columns are vertically movable within the pontoon and evenly distributed around its center, each filled with ballast water. Multiple lifting devices are used to move the multiple buoyancy columns vertically relative to the pontoon. In this design, the pontoon and all buoyancy columns are filled with ballast water, and the lifting devices allow for adjustment of the vertical installation position of each buoyancy column within the pontoon. This enables automatic adjustment of the ballast position of the floating foundation, helping to lower its center of gravity and improve its stability.
