Abstract

This application discloses a communication method, electronic device, and storage medium, relating to the field of communication technology. The communication method includes: an access network device sending first indication information to a core network device, indicating that a first user equipment is located in a first user premises network (CPN). The core network device, based on the first indication information, sends second indication information to the access network device, instructing the first user equipment to perform local communication within the first CPN. This technical solution can shorten the data transmission path between user equipment in indoor communication scenarios, reduce communication latency, and improve communication efficiency.
