Abstract

This invention discloses a method and system for fusion of endoscopic ultrasound images of the digestive tract. The method includes the following steps: S1, acquiring a visible light image of the lesion using a medical endoscope camera, and acquiring a two-dimensional ultrasound image of the same location on the lesion using a medical ultrasound probe; S2, acquiring the positional relationship P between the medical endoscope camera and the medical ultrasound probe in real time; S3, acquiring volume data using the two-dimensional ultrasound image sequence, and performing three-dimensional reconstruction on the volume data to generate a three-dimensional ultrasound image; S4, projecting the three-dimensional ultrasound image onto the two-dimensional coordinate system of the visible light image, and superimposing it with the visible light image to perform image fusion, thereby obtaining a fused image. This invention, without increasing the number of probes, can complete rapid ultrasound-visible light image acquisition and fusion in a short scanning time, which can be used to assist doctors in diagnosis, reduce doctors' workload, shorten diagnosis time, and improve diagnostic accuracy.
