Abstract

This application discloses a method, apparatus, computer device, and storage medium for generating textures for a virtual model. The method includes: generating an initial normal map and an initial texture map corresponding to the virtual model to be processed; obtaining specified color channel values ​​for each pixel in the initial texture map; generating an image to be processed based on the initial texture map and the specified color channel values ​​for each pixel in the initial texture map; obtaining color adjustment parameters for each pixel in the image to be processed, and adjusting the specified color channel values ​​of the corresponding pixels based on multiple color adjustment parameters to obtain an adjusted image to be processed; and performing image overlay processing on the adjusted image to be processed and the initial normal map to obtain a target normal map of the virtual model to be processed. This application can reproduce the surface reflection effects of a real environment on a virtual model, enhancing the realism of the rendered virtual model and improving its overall effect.
