本公开实施例提供了一种文档的处理方法和系统，该方法的一具体实施方式包括：响应于用户针对第一文档的第一操作，文档服务器将第一文档发送到预设服务器；预设服务器将第一文档发送到从若干内容识别引擎中预先确定的第一内容识别引擎，并接收其返回的内容识别结果；以及，根据内容识别结果，确定对应的操作策略，并将内容识别结果、操作策略发送给文档服务器；文档服务器根据内容识别结果、操作策略，确定用户针对第一文档的第二操作是否可执行成功。利用该方法，可以在满足不同类型客户对于不同类型的文档内容的识别要求的同时，节约不同用户用于建立识别引擎的成本、以及减少针对不同用户重新配置识别规则消耗的人力和计算资源。
