Abstract

The present application belongs to the technical field of water decomposition to hydrogen by electrocatalysis, and particularly relates to a boronene / MXene heterostructure design method for electrocatalytic hydrogen reduction reaction. The main purpose is to solve the problem that the hexagonal honeycomb boronene / metal substrate heterojunction cannot be peeled off and cannot be applied to low-dimensional functional devices. The present application studies the catalytic activity of stable and peelable hexagonal honeycomb boronene / Mxene two-dimensional heterojunction for HER through first-principle calculation, and the results show that, compared with traditional single two-dimensional material catalysts such as MoS2 and noble metal catalysts such as Pt, the hexagonal honeycomb boronene / transition metal nitride two-dimensional heterojunction catalyst without noble metal has the characteristics of low cost and environmental friendliness. At the same time, the lower hydrogen adsorption free energy (-0.33 eV) also proves the good HER catalytic activity.
