Abstract

The application relates to the communication field and discloses a communication method and device. The method comprises the following steps: a first communication device receives a time service request message from a second communication device, the time service request message is used for requesting to provide time service for a plurality of terminal devices, the plurality of terminal devices comprise a first terminal device and a second terminal device; and according to a time service error precision corresponding to time service provided by one or more candidate clocks for the plurality of terminal devices, a target clock for providing time service for the plurality of terminal devices is determined, and the target clock is used to provide time service for the plurality of terminal devices. Thus, the target clock is determined according to the time service error precision corresponding to time service provided by one or more candidate clocks for the plurality of terminal devices, so that time service can be provided for the plurality of terminal devices, and the time synchronization requirement among the plurality of terminal devices can be met.
